Good lord, I was watching a Kerry interview on everybody's favorite news channel and I burst into laughter when he pimped his military service, even though he didn't mention the "V" word... I've heard Howard Dean is a Doctor. Can anyone confirm this.

OK -- now go put ammo in the tanks... Howard Dean is a doctor.

The CIA didn't train or supply Bin Laden. He had the financial resources to supply his own fighters and weapons.

It's coming up on Christmas Eve Night. Figured for the hell of it we could take a guess in what game they'll have on the list. Usually a game from each of the major North American sports is included. Baseball-Boston vs New York-Game 7 College Football-Miami vs Ohio St.-Fiesta Bowl

No DeAngelo Williams for Memphis. I'm guessing Ben Roethisberger will play is last game of his college career Thursday night. If you want points checkout the Hawaii Bowl between Hawaii and Houston. Houston led by true freshmen QB Chris Kolb, and Hawaii lead by the underachieving Timmy Chang.

Definetetly. A class act, going out on top. Derrick Brooks putting the cherry on top with a late pick for a TD in the Super Bowl. The entire MLB postseason. Craven vs Busch at Darlington.

Actually OU moved the ball fairly well down the field. White passed for nearly 300 yards. They just couldn't get the ball in the end zone. They where also hurt by their running game, and costly turnovers. It's really not supposed to go to best player in the country. That's too difficult to determine, has somone like Robert Gallery of Iowa could very well be the best player in the country. It's a Player of the Year Award, and essentially an MVP Award.

Sweet. One of only two people who got the Lock of the Week correct.

North Texas has a good RB in Patrick Cobbs. Who may of lead the nation in yards per game. First bowl game for Memphis since the 1971 Pasdena Bowl. I'd except both teams to be fired up. Should be a close game, but I think North Texas is a slightly better team.

The icing on the cake for Bush's reelection will be the death or capture of Bin Laden right about the time of the Republican convention. I'm calling it right know, just to spite all the Bush haters.

Whose giving the politicial speech? Whose too good to give a speech? Sending someone else up instead. Put me down for the guy at the award shows, who laughs hysterically at every joke someone says.

Source? I think most players will go for the best offer. If some team offers him 3 years, he'd likely take it. This wouldn't suprise me. He's spent his entire career in the NL, it's highly possible he doesn't want to make the adjustments necessary when you change leagues.

It's not fun being a small-market team.

I did, and it's in print on these forums. There where quite a few people picking the Marlins too beat the Yankees.

Every positions needs others to perform that's a given. I'd say a RB, is capable of taking control of the game. Sometimes even without a great line. Barry Sanders was the best example of this.

The points are just in case it's still a tie after all the tiebreakers are used up.

Neither. The Seattle Metropolitians.

Right. Which means that most of the offensive personnel around White had a full year to mature with experience and become better football players. Or, Jason White deserves alot more credit for OU's success this year than people want to give him credit for. Fitgerald may challenge the NFL. He's a 3rd year Sophmore. But is situation is different. He spent a year in military academy. So the NFL still looks at Fitgerald in only is 2nd year out of high school.

He's the starting QB on a team that has one of the top three talent bases in college football. He's surrounded by an amazing level of offensive and defensive talent. I felt (and still feel) like Fitzgerald should have won it, but there's no questioning the Heisman Committee's blatant and consistent disrespect for wide receivers, so no dice. Fitgerald had 3 ctchs for 26 yards in probably Pittsburgh biggest game in almost 20 years. It's only natural, that when a canidate plays poorly his team loses that game. That's one reason why their canidates in the first place. I'll give you the defense, but no on the offense. It's great, but not has good individually has people say it is. The problem with WR's. They can't take control of the game like a RB, or QB can do. Sure, some can receive double even triple coverage, but they need a QB to get them the ball.
