If you saw Dougie M everynight scooping Koskie or Guzman's throw out of the dirt, you'd understand why this bothers me. Honestly it's not Olerud, he's good. But Dougie M is so much better in terms of doing more things well with the glove.

Jalen Rose, Donyell Marshall are solid veteran players. But the younger talent like Chandler, and Crawford where supposed to elevate their games this year. So far that hasn't been the case.

Umm.. These two gentlemen are better. Mientkwicz flat out is the best defensive 1st basemen in baseball. The best range, he dig balls out of the dirt better than anyone, and saves so many bad throws from the rest of the infield. Hunter is awesome in CF. It's not just the spectacular plays. He covers so much ground, and his willing to make the diving catch. That's not easy on the concrete playing surface of the Dome. His throwing arm is excellent has well. Homer. If you got to see Mientiwicz like we do up here. You'd understand why I think that. He's 10 times the first basemen Olerud is. So a big fuck you to the writers.

1. That was three years ago. Would you honestly make personnel decisions on three year old data. There's three full seasons of stats to back up the claim that Dotel can pitch effectively. You can't go by 3 year old numbers, but it certainly isn't a lock Dotel will be able close games with effectivness. It's a big dfference setting up, and closing games. Some pitchers reguardless of talent, aren't cut out to close games.
