I caught The Life and Death of Peter Sellers on HBO this weekend, and I really enjoyed it. Rush was fabulous, and like Foxx in Ray, I had to sometimes remind myself that it wasn't, in fact, Peter Sellers acting. John Lithgow as Blake Edwards and Stanley Tucci as Stanley Kubrick were great, too. 8/10

Well, yeah. Audiences these days seemingly can't sit through a three hour movie unless it's gift-wrapped like "Lord of the Rings". Was "Alexander" long? Yes. Was it boring? No. Was it hard to follow? Not if you actually paid attention and had even a modicum of knowledge about Alexander the Great. It was a character study, whether liberties were taken or not. It wasn't a mindless action flick. It's too bad that these movies aren't appreciated in this day and age.

Kevin Spacey's Beyond the Sea is coming out on Friday, too.

How does that compare to Young Liars?

Most teams that started out a leg with no money last year were able to get some quickly, thanks to generous citizens. Somehow, I don't see quite the same thing happening for Don and Mary Jean.
