Here's my new one... Rick and Scott Steiner->Max and Igor Cavallera Together (as the Steiner Brothers and Sepultura), they achieved the greatest heights of their career. By themselves is a different story. Max and Scott have drastically changed (Soulfly/Big Poppa Pump) from what made them big in the first place, and people always talk about how good they used to be. Rick and Igor try to continue by themselves, but haven't fared as well as their brothers. People would mark for their respective reunions, but no one is holding their breath, and are predicting that a reunion would be dissappointing at least.

Actually, Linkin Park = Goldberg To purists, neither has any talent and have only gotten big thanks to marketing/promotion, as well as stupid fans. As for Test = Kataklysm Both vanilla and from Canada.

Yup. Their singwithability is what makes them stick out and will propably get them a shot at crossing over.

It makes sense to me. Here's another one I just thought of... KISS -> Hulk Hogan While neither of them necessarily changed their respective fields and their talent is debatable, they both were amazing draws and have influenced many future talents. Both had many kids as fans, and have large masses of fans, the KISS army and the Hulkamaniacs. And both keep saying they are going to retire, but someone gives them a financial figure that they just can't refuse. As far as IWC/IMC is concerned, both never existed, effected the business, and are just nostalgia acts.

Well, you can't sing along to Shadows Fall. That's my only complaint about Shadows Fall...the vocals. Rather ignorant statement, actually. Listen to the choruses of your average Shadows Fall song. VERY sing-along. That's where the BHC (Boston Hardcore) influence comes in huge, as most BHC bands have choruses you can sing (well, scream) along to. Fuck, almost every song by Shadows Fall has some part you can sing along to. Gimme another one. Shadows Fall vocals are very easily understandable. I love them to death, but I think Laz went a little too far by saying that they are better than everything in Judas Priest's catalog. Why wasn't there more love to Swedish metal? No At the gates? Makes me mad.

Shawn Michaels? I like that one and Laz's Flair/Maiden was a good comparison. Here's mine... Terry Funk->Motorhead. Both have been around forever, show no signs of going away anytime soon, have influenced many directly/indirectly and are overlooked by many undedicate fans. Also, both are willing to hit the biggest and smallest of venues, and definitely have a love for their business.

Yeah, but most media companies operate under an assload of debt. WCW programming did do decent ratings for cable, but I remember reading that none of the network advertizing revenue was used to financially support WCW...all their incoming came from ticket sales/PPV. If they were getting an advertising share it would have definitely made that number much smaller.
