  1. Fantastic Four, v1: Imaginauts by Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo from Marvel.com Simply superb. Lee and Kirby created these characters as something more than being super heroes; not only are they scientist/explorers, but they are family. This book really captures that aspect and reaffirmed my love of these characters.
  2. My roster has a bunch of great talkers so I didn't think one was needed at this point. The managers I will be looking into are more accessory types. There are a few that I have my eyes on for later rounds. With your pick of Los Ice Creams, I knew that they wouldn't come back to me.
  3. For my thirtieth pick, I'm going to take more wrestlers. With the new trios/stable rule in effect, I'm going to pick a group that is perfect for jobbing and getting squashed as well as put on some fun undercard matches. Plus they are goofy and kid friendly... The Colony--Worker Ant, Soldier Ant and Fire Ant Now for my venue/arena, I'm going with the Philadelphia Spectrum. Philadelphia always brings a hot crowd and I think that they would add to the excitement. I do realize that some of you might think that my roster isn't big enough for this size venue, but from my perspective it could work. I My supercard is the end of the season event and the promotion would be northeastern NJ based. My promotion focuses more on strong, intense matches and old school style promos/interviews, so smarks and kids alike would be down with it. Plus with a triple main event featuring ChoTen/Briscoes in a ladder match for the tag titles, Jericho/Foley in a falls count anywhere title match, and the Lucha de Apuesta pitting Mistico/Delirious/Muta vs. Hero/Claudio/Wallstreet, this should be a sweet show.
  4. I was going to suggest Arnett as well. Eckhardt flat out rocked in this film.
  5. Man...I can't believe no one picked FVE. Now that's a great late pickup.
  6. The Olsen Twins--Colin and Jimmy Before he was getting squashed on a regular basis in ECW, Colin and his brother Jimmy were tearing up the indies. They're goofy and wimpy looking, so they make great fodder for the other tag teams. This way, they can be sympathetic when against heels, but fun to watch the face teams beat them up. Basically more fun for the undercard. If anyone doubts there awesomeness, check out their match against Up In Smoke from Chikara last fall.
  7. Original Question or current Question? Justice League: Unlimited era Question. JLU's depiction was based a lot on Dennis O'Neil's awesome run with the character in the late eighties. That said, I would love them to do a action/comedy based on the JLI team.
  8. I took Meanie off the board as part of the bWo with Stevie Richards.
  9. I believe there is only one member left of that consortium.
  10. Actually, I can think of a few. Although at this point, the ones that aren't left are pretty much job squads.
  11. Hmmm...should be interesting. Although my biggest dilemma is what arena I want to run my show at.
  12. So round 30 you can pick a stable?
  13. Nextwave was/is one of my favorite books. Only problem was that no one was buying it, so it wound up getting cancelled
  14. Garth, my smile is back. I never even considered M.O.M. for this.
  15. Both of those are great picks... My next pick is just another example of some of the superb stuff that was coming out of Marvel during the eighties. Miller's Daredevil. Claremont's X-Men. Byrne's Fantastic Four. Walt Simonson's Thor. I picked the first installment on his run, where he resets the status quo of Thor, gets rid of the Donald Blake junk and introduces everyone's favorite horse imitation hero, Beta Ray Bill. Marvel Visionaries - Thor by Walt Simonson, v 1
  16. Death: The High Cost of Living This is such an awesome book. Great example of what can be done with non hero comics.
  17. Now me not having Los Ice Creams makes me cry.
  18. Crossbones--the final member of the Order of the Neo Solar Temple I wanted to round out this trio, and I have. Fear the Order! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qCFoh7nzTI Even though they may be broken up in real life, lets remember the happy memories...
  19. Together they have great chemistry.
  20. Since Chris Jericho is my lead heel, I like the thought of him having a gang/stable around him to serve as his thugs and minions. At first I thought having him be part of the Kings of Wrestling with Hero and Claudio, but I thought better of it. They really don't need him, as they are going to be in the running for the tag belts. I previously picked Chuck Taylor, as he'd be a great undercard sidekick for Jericho. But that's not enough. If he's going to be the comic relief in this group, they should have an undercard tag team to serve as his thugs. Kind of like what Edge has with Ryder/Hawkins. I found the perfect team, as they are already Chuck's running mates. So what do Jericho, Chuck and this team have in common?. They are all going to be friends. And they will be friends in similar tights. TEAM F.I.S.T*. (Icarus and Gran Akuma) Friends In Similar Tights
  21. I know...it just saves time from reading through all the posts.
  22. I noticed. Good thinking.
  23. I removed my previous post. Starvenger is right. Some of the omnibus'es can get confusing, because the 1960s-1970s ones usually collect single issue stories and the 1980s ones collect epic ongoing interweaved stories.
  24. That documentary is flat out awesome. I believe Dunn has just finished a second one about metal worldwide.
