Unless I'm mistaken, I believe that's how Criterion runs all of their commentaries (separate recordings for each party involved). Out of my 20 or so, at least 2 (I haven't gotten around to watching all of them) have the commentators together. Chasing Amy and Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, with Hunter S. Thompson basically requiring a wrangler to keep him subdued and on topic.

I also don't like it when several people record seperate commentaries and they get chopped together. They can be quite informative in certain scenarios (Criterion does it a lot, but they're usually alright), but I'd prefer them in the same room. I haven't seen it, but I hear Dennis Hopper on Easy Rider is as if they brought in someone off the street who had never seen the movie.

Nice logic. Sarcasm? I like it for nostalgic reasons, that's not so strange. I don't know how old you are, but it starts happening a lot when things you once loved are forgotten more and more. Jaws 3 does have a certain B movie charm which Revenge lacks, though. Revenge felt more like a tv movie.

Quentin Tarantino on True Romance. Towards the end, he actually said "Ok, I've said what I had to say. Now I'm just going to watch the movie and if I've got something to say, I'll say it." in his usual smug way. Asshole, if I wanted that, I wouldn't have turned on the commentary track. But of course, he can't shut up, and soon starts talking again and keeps it up to the end, so it could have been worse.

Problem with Jaws 2 was the burn on the shark make it look fake. I like Jaws 3 because I liked it as a kid.

I've traded most of my regreted stuff in, but there's a few still kicking around. Some ICP (though I can still listen to their first album), Dimmu Borgir after they got bad. I also find I have a handful of cds that I have absolutely no recollection of buying, borrowing, or even listening to. For some reason I have every Limp Bizkit and Korn cd except their latest, and I have never listened to either of those bands.
