The Eight Second Ride is basically an Air Raid Crash/Kryptonite Krunch, only you spin your opponent all the way around and drop him face-first with a Flatliner.

IWA-MS results 7/2 Valparaiso
Phoenix Fury Legdrop replied to Slingshot Suplex's topic in General Wrestling
A few notes: Hero/Kingston/Tank was good, but not nearly as good as it could have been. They didn't get a lot of time, and the ring broke after Tank was Irish whipped and knocked the ropes loose. Brave/Black/Abercrombie is amongst the most insane seven minutes you'll ever see in your life. This match has to look up "lull" in the dictionary just to know what one is, because it sure didn't have any in it. What the live report didn't mention about Punk/Delirious was that there was a fourth Delirious: Brylirious (referee Bryce Remsberg, whose soul was seemingly possessed by the second Delirious mask after Punk forced it on him, causing him to not be able to pull it off the skin on his face, ala the film "The Mask". Also, the match somehow morphed into GV & Punk vs. the Deliriouses (Deliri? Deliriousi?), and after GV & Shelirious got eliminated, they held hands and skipped with one another to the locker room. They also spent upwards of a half-hour building up Delirious's Slobber Claw (the Iron Claw...after Delirious sticks his fist in his mouth). It was absolutely insane. I couldn't see too much in the ring closest to SMV's hard cam set-up during War Games since I was on the other side of the building, but there was lots of chaos and carnage, of course. I don't think it'll even be noticed on the tape/DVD, but Chandler McClure's about a zillion times better outside the ring as a coach/motivator than as a wrestler. Hell, I liked the fact that everyone outside the ring actually talked over strategy and cheered on their teammates, and didn't just stand there like in other indy War Games matches. Like someone on the IWA board mentioned, War Games was more something to take in the experience for than to sit there and try to jot down every mental note you possibly could. And it was quite the experience. -
Only time I've seen it was in an eight-man Matrats tag from Stampede Wrestling in 2001 from TJ Wilson (who was booked as Jack Evans' clone) to Nick Nogg.

I don't know if Quack will/should make it to the finals this year...him winning BOTB5 kind of killed the mystique of him winning TPI. I really wish the finals were one-on-one...then the finals would be easy as hell to predict: Sydal vs. Styles, with Sydal finally getting the win. I still expect Sydal to finally get his win over Styles somewhere in the tournament. I think Danielson'll probably be in the finals again. Hero'll probably gain a momentum rally coming off of War Games and get into the finals. The third guy? Most likely someone who isn't even announced yet.

Robbie Brookside is the man responsible for training guys like Steven Regal, as well as having a hand in training "Double C" Claudio Castagnoli and definately has had his influence on today's US indy scene through guys like CM Punk, Chris Hero, Colt Cabana, Nigel McGuinness, and Bryan Danielson. He's a modern-day fore-father for British wrestling.

It's John Walters' Lungblower/double knees to the back thingy, only without the straitjacketing of the arms, and Josh leaps from behind the guy from the top rope instead of the ground. The explanation for the move name, via Chris Hero on commentary at Simply the Best 6, is that terrorists often put bombs into backpacks to conceal them. Abercrombie looks like a backpack when he rides an opponent's back during the move. Put two and two together...and there you go.

Different move, though Dragon uses both. The Psycho Driver is a pumphandle piledriver. -

Looking to get into Ring of Honor

Nulty's alright...I'm a mark for the old sports references, but I understand some aren't. Gabe's still the shits. The guy has a voice that, no matter if he wakes up tomorrow and is blessed with the announcing ability of Lance Russell, will prevent him from ever being any good as a commentator. However, I really enjoyed the little bit I've heard of Dave Prazak in ROH (Trios Tournament, Stalemate). He's really proving that he can drop the clowning around and still be a great play-by-play guy. -

What happened to #tpc? I went on the other day...and it's completely depleted. -
The new division's going to be very indy-riffic, with hard-hitting, fast-paced action with high-impact, exciting moves and sequences. This week's match was based a lot on a lot of stuff I've seen guys like Skayde (Toryumon Mexico head trainer), Chris Hero, and Mike Quackenbush all display in the ring, much like next week will be a different style, and the week after that...all, I hope, will be interesting, but hopefully something different.

*MUSIC VIDEO* Quack's Best of the Best Journey
Phoenix Fury Legdrop replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in General Wrestling
The re-launch is Jay & Pat's business. I guess I'm still involved in the process, but I won't be writing for it. I got really bored with writing about wrestling...I find it more fun to just enjoy stuff. I've been writing some stuff on my own, but nothing related to wrestling at all. Pat & Jay have been throwing around a bunch of ideas for the re-launch digest, and it should be good...once they actually type stuff out. -

The guy in Hero's ring gear that Quack fought in Round Two was Claudio Castagnoli, a Hero student and his lackie in CZW. As for Supa D...some enjoy him. Others think that his antics are silly. I'm in between...I think it's funny when he tries to play "badass", but he's a pretty good wrestler. -

Thanks for the compliment. The music choice was because it was Quack's entrance song for years before going to Jushin Lyger's entrance song, and he uses it at every tournament he wrestles in. -

I kind of got confused here...but if you're referring to CC's post, the new division isn't a tag division. -
Audio Codec Download Question
Phoenix Fury Legdrop replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in Technology
Um...that doesn't work. The closest I've gotten it to work is actually something that's screwed up my computer even worse than it is now, where the normally messed-up files play really well, but everything else plays with either no noise or a really horrible buzzing sound. T he worst part is, the program I really need it to work in (Vegas Video) still doesn't recognize the fixed .avi audio, but will recognize the messed-up other files' buzzing sound instead of its normal audio. -
Does anyone know where I could get the FAST Multimedia AG DVM audio codec, or something similar that'd solve the same problem for some video files that I'd like to be able to view/burn to DVD without VLC Player? Thanks in advance, if anyone knows.
