Spoiler (Highlight to Read): 2/3 Falls: AJ Flaire vs. Sly Summers (set up this week on HeldDOWN~!
-
That episode was on just the other night, but damn if I didn't bust out laughing and the non-chaulantance of the orange. But as far as shows from childhood that you keep watching after you grow up, Full House is probably the one I'll back up the most.
-
Everything but Dobbinses/Tank & Raines and Onyx/Adrien has potential, but Slash & Azrael vs. Gabriel & Luke should be really freaking good.
-
I got AJ.

From an ep. where the family goes out to see Joey do his stand-up act.... DJ: "Why do you need a purse?" Stephanie: "To carry all my womanly things...make-up, keys to somewhere, and an orange (pulls out an orange)." Oranges = comedy.

I believe there's already an AAW, in Louisiana.

Since I seem to be Mr. Wildside around here, I might as well respond to this..... First off, I thought this was better than the 1987 one, about on par with '91, but right below '92. Tell me how Rave, V., Cross, and Rainman are limited. Please, I'd LOVE to hear this. You wanna know why Cross was doing that? He was working the neck. Jeremy V. had a bad neck for months going into the match, so, like a vulture, Rainman and Cross worked over the neck. Maybe if you watched at least a little of the build-up, you'd know exactly what the hell was going on. Even if it was only *** (which, btw, is retarded, just like the entire star scale), *** is still above-average on the stupid star scale. How would above-average make your head spin off? Geez.

2003 IWA-MS Ted Petty Invitational Thread
Phoenix Fury Legdrop replied to Sandman9000's topic in General Wrestling
IWA-MS just announced today that Trent Acid and Dino Bambino are joining Matt Stryker as leaving the TPI. But, replacing them are Michael Shane, Todd Sexton and....... SALVATORE RINAURO~! -
1) (a & b) Iceberg & Jeff G. Bailey (I think it'd be easier to book him as top heel monster than Joe, just because 'Berg looks like the type of guy that could possibly commit mass murder and scare the living fuck out of small children, as opposed to Joe, who's big and hits hard...no offense to Joe. Also, Bailey's added on as a part of #1 since him and Iceberg would be as collective a unit as possible, and Bailey basically explains and sorts out Iceberg's silent motives.) 2) Jeremy V. (As he's proven in the past 10 months in Wildside, he can definately be the inspirational babyface that every promotion needs. He's pretty enough to make the girls squeal for him, but tough enough for the guys to dig him too.) 3) CM Punk. (Punk's promos alone could draw money in a perfect world. But he's also one hell of a heel in the ring, and would be a different dimension of top heel than Iceberg.) 4) Seth DeLay. (First off, guaranteed, he should be over on the indy Internet level HUGE in the next 12 months. He's gotten that good, and I expect the buzz will start as soon as he makes the drive outside of Cornelia. Now, if you build him on the undercard while the rumblings start, and slowly move him up while the hype gets bigger, you could have a 'Net geek hero and regular folk' hero all in one. But it takes patience.) 5) Rainman (I would have included Jason Cross in here, but I think it's almost common knowledge that, one trip to Hooter's, and Cross would be gone. The main event heels are more important to the faces, since they're the ones who get the faces over, who then go on to draw the money. Rainman is definately good making a crowd hate him enough that they fall in love with the other guy by default. That's the quality that any promoter should be looking for in a heel.) Oh, and Jingus, it was only minutes and minutes away.

I thought it was a little more obvious that the teaser's trying to lead us to believe that Matt legit flips out and goes on a killing spree or something, when, in "reality", or whatever this is, Matt flips out as part of the act, and right when he gets to the brink of killing, he yells out "Surprise, I was in on it!" or something.

I really dug Eric Young's match with Val Venis on Heat this past Sunday. Unfortunately, he'll be in full TNA spot mode, with Sonjay, a retarded spot monkey, and some dude who might turn out to be Scott D'Amore under a mask.

Though I'm not sure that any of you care, MJK from 1Bob also reported that Simply Luscious is gone from CZW, because of not wanting to lose her DCW bookings. And, HOT NEWZ~!...or something..... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): MJK also said that the Cage of Death match this year will be a ten-man tag match between Hi-V and Team Zandig.

Yep, Jingus did work for them. I wish I could scour up more knowledge from what I learned back when I regularly read Trent Van Drisse's message board, but I do know they're below Big Boy Prentice on the food chain there, and I think below Mike Porter's group too. I remember Kid Thrilla from USWO working a battle royal for Wildside at Fright Nights 2002, and doing absolutely nothing of note.

The Tardblog This is a blog created by a special education teacher in order to mock/document the happenings of her students. This is just one of those things where you're either completely offended by it, or you think it's the funniest thing ever. I totally see both points of view.

I downloaded the OpNews program so that I could download stuff from alt.binaries.pro-wrestling, but when I try to connect to it, it keeps coming up saying that a.b.p-w is an unknown host. Can anyone help me?

The fact that AJ had the balls to say that Rick Michaels taught him NOTHING at the NCW school is the most laughable statement I've heard in a while.

I usually don't pimp the Indy indy stuff, since, quite frankly, Indianapolis usually doesn't pump out anything worth watching, but I found a really good article on my semi-local indy scene at Indianapoliseye.com

$7 per tape plus shipping, 3 for 20.

I'm selling some tape-age (ECW, WWE, etc.) so I can get my ass to the TPI this year. PM me if interested.

1) The '92 version squeaks this out barely due to overall higher "workrate", but I think this one, when it came to building drama, was the most superior of all the War Games. Both, however, should be required viewing material for all wrestling fans. 2) Yeah, they only used one ring. I'm surprised at how they do it, but they honestly never really got clustered up besides the one point I mentioned where Iceberg walked right past a submission on one of his teammates he should have broken. If you really want to see how to cluster a ring, watch the TNA War Games. 3) They did do some really big spots, but they made sure to build to them. It's not like the sunset flip bomb had no rhyme or reason; it was a weapon that AJ Styles used to take out Justice in the 2001 War Games, so Jimmy used it for himself in this one. The superplex spot came early enough in the match that Onyx wasn't worn out, and he was going full-tilt, so he was "going on all adreneline". Hope those helped answer your questions.

If anyone cares enough to drop a line about the new PCN review, please do so. It's here.
