  1. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be on that season's DVD...
  2. Five jobs (one temp, one part-time, one full-time "crap" job, one seasonal and one "real") and five places of residence in two different states...
  3. Strawberry mix. I'm a cheap and lazy bastard...
  4. 1/17/99 - 1/17/00 1/17/00 - 1/17/01 1/17/01- 1/17/02 1/17/02 -1/17/03 1/17/03 -1/17/04 1/17/04 -/1/17/05 1/17/05 - 1/17/06 Ah, shit. My bad. So how did you go out? With a bang or a wimper?
  5. Well then I'm glad I didn't bump it then.
  6. Was he in the Wedding Singer, too? And why is the room moving right now?
  7. Eh, the only thing I'd blame him for is that ticket incident, although that was pretty bad.
  8. If you want to know how I got these end-of-season tie-breakers, PM me. But trust me, you don't want to know. For those that are new to the postseason, I'll explain scoring procedures in the upcoming post-season thread: San Diego (Porter 9-7) @ Cleveland (SFA Jack 11-5) Buffalo (Bob Barron 10-6) @ Jacksonville (Always Pissed Off 10-6) New York Giants (Cartman 9-7) @ Seattle (C Dubya 10-6) Arizona (Cena's Writer 10-6) @ Detroit (Bravesfan 10-6)
  9. Quite safe. Like 10 condoms on the winky safe.
  10. You'll be bitching about this new job in a few weeks. And congrats on taking nearly 6 years to find a new job outside of fast food.
  11. OK, so, if I'm the Shittsburgh Pirates and select to play in PNC Park, the money generated will still be determined by the hippie "Create-a-lame Park," which seats 500 people. Well that's gay. Looks like I'll be starting in Dynasty Mode instead. Thanks. Oh, and I tried looking for an "official" MVP '05 thread, but I didn't find one -- my rule is to check 5 pages to see if a thread can be bumped. If not, then I start a new topic most of the time.
  12. That's the downside to picking early. I've done a few "WTF was I thinking?" moments before when picking games.
  13. You picked Atlanta. I keep all PM's until I post the next week's picks. And you're not out of the postseason hunt, but it doesn't help matters if you lose.
  14. Can you in Owner Mode play as your team's ball park, or do you have to start out with the "create-a-ballpark"? Example: If I start an Owner Mode dynsasty as Boston can I use Fenway Park? I know you can select a stadium before you play a game in Owner Mode, but will you earn $ for a home game based on that stadium selected (Fenway Paqrk), or does the game apply your revenue with your "create a ballpark" for a home game?
  15. Below is a list of the projected 2006-2007 team alignment. Fortunately, not much had to be changed when merging this league with participants who had good attendance at the other place. The only case of "Eminent Domain" is in Arizona, and seeing how Cena's Writer didn't really care who he got when I assigned teams at the start of the season, I doubt he'll care that much being moved. There are a few open teams due to people overusing their EPs this year, so if anyone wants to move, please let me know in this thread. Since I displaced him, Cena's Writer gets priority over moving to an open team; he is currently with New Orleans... AFC EAST Buffalo Bills (Bob Barron) Miami Dolphins (Spaceman Spiff) New England Patriots (Nl5) New York Jets (Gert T) AFC NORTH Baltimore Ravens (Dr. Tom) Cincinnati Bengals (Teke) Cleveland Browns (SFA Jack) Pittsburgh Steelers (Kahran Ramsus) AFC SOUTH Houston Texans (Bored) Indianapolis Colts (Prime Time Andrew Doyle) Jacksonville Jaguars (Always Pissed Off) Tennessee Titans (Cuban Linx) AFC WEST Denver Broncos (Canadian Chris) Kansas City Chiefs Oakland Raiders San Diego Chargers (Porter) NFC EAST Dallas Cowboys (Marvin Is A Lunatic) New York Giants (Cartman) Philadelphia Eagles: (The Real World's Champion) Washington Redskins (Human Fly) NFC NORTH Chicago Bears (Agent Of Oblivion) Detroit Lions (Bravesfan) Green Bay Packers (Vitamin X) Minnesota Vikings NFC SOUTH Atlanta Falcons (King of the 909) Carolina Panthers (Fazzle) New Orleans Saints (Cena's Writer) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Starvenger) NFC WEST Arizona Cardinals (Vern Gagne, or whatever he calls himself now) San Francisco 49ers (Agent Bond34) Seattle Seahawks (C Dubya 04) St. Louis Rams (Canadian Guitarist)
  16. Wait until some private developer get the local government to boot your friend off his land so a Wal-Mart or some "better" houses can be built...
  17. Deadline for the Sunday games has come and gone...
  18. What really hurt you was your 1-4 division schedule, Linx, especially since one loss was by 2 points, another was by 1 point, and one was decided via TB...
  19. I fell for one of those this year, too. It was 6:30 in the morning and I got a Citi e-mail saying pretty much the same thing. Right after I did it, I snapped out of my grogginess and went "WTF." I called Citi to have my card cancelled, and I didn't lose any money, but I felt like such a schmoe...
  20. I would doubt that story falls under the "right to defend one's self." If he would have gotten beat up, I'm sure there would be a line of lawyers begging to represent him in court. Sadly, just because you own private property, don't think that it's yours...
  21. He ought to have Lieberman run, too, so that way if the Islamist crazies off Russ, there will still be a Jew as President. Also have it arranged that third-in-line to the oval office is Schmuck Jewmer from NY, etc...
  22. Take Rant's advice, and it doesn't even involve tipping. Think of it this way: What if your buddy did this for a more expensive product and got ripped off of even more money? Think of the positive. And fuck the bitch's mom, yo (or however it goes...)
  23. So do you watch this show because of choice or because your better half plays the DVDs/watches TNT re-runs every spare moment she has? And I like the Shannon ones better, myself. Thanks, Smitty. I just couldn't remember the guy's name, and yes, he is a tenacious (D). Almost as tenacious as curbing free-speech rights 30 (or is it 60?) days before an election...
  24. Chalk it up as one of life's experiences and move on. Or firebomb the guy's house if you can find his personal info...
