  1. So I guess that means if the kid turns out to be a boy you gotta go and get some KY Jelly.
  2. How many days has this guy been on the air? Give him some time. I'm sure you didn't become a Professional Otaku in just a few days.
  3. Fuck that. I like my niece-in-law and all, but I'm not playing daddy to some kid that's not mine.
  4. My godparents hath forsaken me.
  5. I don't think I have any godparents, but the better half is godmother to her youngest niece.
  6. A couple years ago, some hippie urban station switched to a RIGHT-WING RADIO format, which was great. Rush left the station he was on (KDKA) and went there, which meant no more having his show cut off when the Shittsburgh Pirates had an afternoon game during the summer months.
  7. Ah, man. I used to like you, too. Even though I loathe college athletics, I root for any team playing Penn State because I lived in that shithole for 1 1/2 years after I graduated from college while the better half finished up her degree from there.
  8. Here are the matchups. If a particular matchup won't need to rely on scores (the teams differ on 1 or 3 picks) I didn't post them. As of Friday, 9 a.m., only three more people need to submit picks -- a friendly reminder that the games start on Saturday. You don't want to be this year's nl-asshole, do you? TSM San Diego (Porter 9-7) @ Cleveland (SFA Jack 11-5) SD: TB/JAX/CAR/PIT SD SCORES: WAS 20, TB 24/JAX 28, NE 31/ CAR 20, NYG 17/PIT 21, CIN 17 CLE: TB/NE/NYG/PIT CLE SCORES: WAS 13, TB 20/JAX 14, NE 27/CAR 16, NYG 20/PIT 28, CIN 20 DIFF: JAX/NE, CAR/NYG Buffalo (Bob Barron 10-6) @ Jacksonville (Always Pissed Off 10-6) BUF: TB, JAX, CAR, CIN JAX: WA, JAX, CAR, PIT DIFF: TB/WA, CIN/PIT -- APO needs to win both because he didn't submit any scores. 9. Another question, this one related to potential. If I have a young guy with high potential, but he's not quite ready to be on my team, (Meaning I could put him on a non-scoring line, but he's not quite tough enough, and he's not yet ready to be put on a major scoring line), would it be better to put him in the minors or let him "pay his dues"? Would he get better faster playing in a limited role on my NHL team, or just let him frolic in the minors for a season?
  10. There's no mystery as to his opinion of Mr. Roth. And next time, make sure the thread's title is TOAO David Lee Roth Show. And Lang has been on Stern's show for 5+ years? Dang.
  11. I'll PM him the link.
  12. Link, with a pic, too.
  13. Christ. I had a bitch of a time putting those posts together, but I thought I got all the gremlins out. Oh well.
  14. Fixed. My bad. Teke is Philly for the other place.
  15. This isn't MikeSC -- there's not enough quote tags.
  16. List of people who sent picks for Wild Card Weekend: TSM AFC 3) Cleveland (sfa jack) Picks Received 4) Jacksonville (always pissed off) -- Picks Received, but I need scores 5) Buffalo (bob barron) Picks Received 6) San Diego (porter) Picks Received NFC 3) Seattle (c dubya) Picks Received 4) Detroit (bravesfan) 5) Arizona (Cena's Writer) Pick Received 6) New York Giants (cartman -- kkk Bowl II winner) Picks Received The Other Place AFC: 3) Jacksonville (always pissed off) -- Picks Received, but I need scores 4) San Diego (porter) Picks Received 5) Cleveland (sfa jack) Picks Received 6) Baltimore (dr. tom) -- Picks Received NFC: 3) San Francisco (agent bond) Picks Received 4) Philadelphia (teke) -- Pick Received 5) Arizona (vern gagne) -- Picks Received 6) Atlanta (steve joseph) -- Picks Received
  17. SCORING: Whoever picks the most correct winners in each match-up advances to the next round. Example: * Dr. Tom picks Tampa, New England, NY Giants and Cincinnati to win/cover the spread. * Always Pissed Off picks Tampa, New England, NY Giants and Pittsburgh to win/cover the spread. * Tampa, New England, Carolina and Cincinnati win (meaning they covered the spread). * Dr. Tom beats Always Pissed Off 3-2 If there is a tie then the first tie-breaker will be whoever was more accurate in picking the total scores for all four separate games. Example: * Vern Gagne picks Tampa to win 16-10, New England to win 20-10, NY Giants to win 20-3 and Cincinnati to beat the spread 16-17 * Teke picks Tampa to win 20-10, New England to win 17-3, NY Giants to win 10-0 and Cincinnati to win 20-0. * Tampa wins 21-7, New England wins 30-14, NY Giants wins 3-0 and Cincinnati wins 20-17. * Vern and Teke are tied at 4 correct picks each and move on to the first tie-breaker. * Vern had a total of 26 points selected in the Tampa game (16 for Tampa, 10 for Washington), Teke had 30 (20 for Tampa, 10 for Washington). The final score total is 28, so Vern and Teke TIE that game. * Vern had a total of 30 points selected in the New England game, Teke had 20. The final score total was 44, so Vern wins that game. * Vern had a total of 23 points selected in the New York game, Teke had 10. The final score total was 3, so Teke wins that game. * Vern had a total of 33 points selected in the Cincinnati game, Teke had 20. The final score total was 37 so Vern wins that game. * Vern defeats Teke 2 games to 1 in the first tie-breaker. If there is still a tie after the first tie-breaker, the second tie-breaker will be combining the total points of all four games and seeing who is closest to the total score of all four games – the first tie-breaker had all four games counted separately. The third tie-breaker will be seeing who is closest to every team score. If there is still a tie after the third tie-breaker then I’m going to shoot myself. But before I do I’ll flip a coin to determine the winner -- heads the “road” team wins, tails the “home” team wins. I would like predictions by midnight, Saturday, January 7.
  18. Wild Card Weekend matchups and spreads. PM picks and your guess as to the final score of each game to me (Example: Washington 21, Tampa 30). 19. They'll probably need a translator -- I doubt he'll be saying words like "bum."
  20. Yes. He was in the bar with Sandler. OK, that guy. Peace out dawg.
  21. So you have to wait an extra day to find out figures. Were you able to cope with this hardship?
  22. Tomorrow I'll create a "Playoff thread" that will go through the postseason (wild card, divisional playoff, etc.) To make things simple, I'll do the postseason for the league at the other place in this thread, too. Below are the playoff seedings for the other place. AFC: 1) New England (nl-asshole) 2) Cincinatti (slapnuts) 3) Jacksonville (always pissed off) 4) San Diego (porter) 5) Cleveland (sfa jack) 6) Baltimore (dr. tom) NFC: 1) New Orleans (bob barron) 2) Minnesota (kahran ramsus) 3) San Francisco (agent bond) 4) Philadelphia (teke) 5) Arizona (vern gagne) 6) Atlanta (steve joseph) Top two seeds in each conference have a bye. 23. Have you been keeping up with the recent episodes? They got rid of the Leo character and brought in some chick everybody seems to hate. The better half and a few of her friends that watch this show really don't like her -- I think she's called nl5.
  24. What skills do you have to provide for an employer?
