They didn't even have a great selection of "big A-list movies" but they had one of the most spectacular collections of B movies. I almost bought a direct to DVD movie called Sassquatch, where Lance Henriksen battles Sassquatch. It was only $4 too, how could I have past it up?

Looks like I might have a whole section to myself when I go to Olympic Stadium in August. The Expos this year are truly pathetic, offensive wise. Maybe even worse then dare I say, last year's Tigers. I'm not saying they'll be nearly as bad as the Tigers last year, but with this offense they're a sure fire bet to lose 100 games.

I dig the summer of 96, WCW was just clicking on all cylinders at that time. Sure the main events were bleh, but those storylines for them were excellent and most of the undercard was excellent.

I'm totally surprised at the lack of publicity the Dodgers-Giants series has recieved. Sure it's no Yankees- Red Sox but I'd expect it to get a little more publicity then the average series.

The Clippers, the last two or three seasons: Not this season, but the few seasons before the Clippers looked like a sure fire team of the future. They were kind of in the playoff race two years ago and looked only to be looking up and then Sterling didn't extend most of their contracts and now they're stuck with a bleh lower tier western conference team. 2001-2003 Mets, teams loaded with future Hall of Famers just totally fell apart every year and languished at the bottom of the NL East. 2001-2003 Texas Rangers, ARod, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, eventually Hank Blalock and Marc Texiara all playing in a hitters park, should have been a home run enthusiast's wet dream. Plus with the addition of Chan Ho Park, they could have made a run at beating the Mariners and As. Instead three 90 loss seasons. 2003 Tampa Bay Bucs: Alright, they didn't lose anyone of not to free agency, almost the whole cast was returning. First week they shut out the Philadelphia Eagles. After they slowly self destruct and finish 7-9. I still don't quite get this one. These are just can't miss teams that missed over the past few year, I'm sure people have others from years past.

I thought the mid 90's trend of the NBA of putting whatever your team animal is on your jersey is much like those TATC jerseys. In particular the Vancouver Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors first jerseys are so awesomely cheesy. However the mid 90's Milwaukee Bucks jersey with a giant buck on it looks like something a complete scrub who couldn't afford any other jerseys would wear.

Slightly off topic here, how was the Ultimate Warrior-Ric Flair match that I believe was on a Coliseum video? I would think Flair could easily carry Warrior to a ***-***1/2 match easily and possibly a **** match. Or was it just a 7 or 8 minute quickie with a cop out finish.

86 Red Sox were by no means a bust, they came back from a 3-1 defecit in the ALCS and came one weird fluke short of winning the World Series. A bust to me is a team that vastly underperformed and either didn't make the playoffs or was bounced early on (Ala the 98 Astros)

I meant to say the Mets had future potential hall of famers. Even then I may have been stretching it. The Mets should have at least been in the race till late August with those lineups. I didn't say the Texas Rangers would have been even AL West champs but they could have been a helluva lot better then a 90 loss team. They had guy who's an MVP candidate every year in ARod, two guys who are potential 30 home run hitter especially in Coors South in Juan Gone and Raffi Palmeiro and Texiara and Hank Blalock aren't too bad of hitters either. Even if they didn't have good pitching they should have won 75-78 games a year and completely dominated at home. Has their ever been an incident where a baseball team other then the Yankees goes on a crazy spending spree and it actually works for more then a couple years? I honestly can't remember one.

I love this year's Royals. They may be my designated 2nd favorite team for the year. Last two years the Designated 2nd favorite team was The Montreal Expos, but it looks like they're going to win jack and shit this year. I love the Royals this year, everyone is either slightly past their prime or just hitting it. A solid balance of veteran leadership and young guys. I know it's early but I think they could make a run in the playoffs.

I saw the 98 Marlins (It may have been 99 though) against the Red Sox in Fenway. All I remember is everybody in our section was heckling Preston Wilson and Preston Wilson ended up hitting a grand slam to our section. Looking at baseball-reference it was 99 not 98. The Marlins won that damn game to, 10-7. My history at Red Sox games has been awful to say the least.

Celtics win! Celtics Win! Celtics Win! They've been looking real good lately, with the exception of the Texas road trip and I'm starting to believe that they should go for the playoffs. I don't think they can beat the Pacers or Pistons, but I think they've got a fair shot against everyone else. Utah Vs LA would be a great 1 Vs 8 match up The scrappy young team that nobody thought would even when 30 games Vs the star studded, beloved team which features the scrappy team's former star. I'd much rather see that then Lakers- Trailblazers again or even Lakers-Nuggets (Although Lakers-Nuggets would bring the INTENSITY! due to Kobe's trial being near Denver and all.)

Mercy's Playground (Free Show, Portland, Maine): Funny story, the whole audience was literally silent the whole show until they played Sex and Candy. The audience was literally doing nothing and there had to be a couple thousand people there watching it. Weird Al Yankovic (State Theater: Portland, Maine): Good. WJBQ Q Concert, Vertical Horizon, Eifel 65, Vitamin C, Train, Westlife and Big Bad Voodo Daddy (Cumberland County Civic Center:Portland, Maine): OK at the time, horrible looking back it. WJBQ Jingle Ball; Third Eye Blind, Sister Hazel, Soul Decision, Dido, Samantha Mumba, The Coors, No Authority and Evan and Jaron (Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland, Maine): Horrible. The Drifters (Freyeburg fair ground, Freyeburg, Maine): Pretty good set of oldies. Paul Rodgers with Kansas opening up (Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom, Hampton Beach, New Hampshire), Kansas was meh but Paul Rodgers kicked ass. ZZ Top with Ted Nugent opening (Cumberland County Civic Center, Portland, Maine): Best show I've ever been to.

Am I the only one who thought Jaws 2 was decent? I mean it couldn't hold Jaws' jockstrap, but I thought it had it's moments. The only thing really wrong with it was the subplot about sail boating (Eecch).

Chevy Chase had his own late night talk show I believe 93ish. Fox thought they could compete with Leno and Lettermen by bringing in Chevy, who wasn't all that washed up as an actor at that point. It didn't work so well.

Is it wrong for me to say I don't want my team, The Celtics to make the playoffs as an 8 seed? I don't think it is, if they're an 8 seed they're probably gonna get swept and get stuck with the 16th pick in the draft, if they don't make the playoffs the get somewhere between the 8th and 12th pick. You can pick a future big time player with those kind of picks. I hate siding with Ainge but I think he's right when saying he doesn't want the Celtics to make the playoffs.

Considering it's frikking March which is the opposite of big movie season, next week is fuckin HUGE. I think it'll go 1. Scooby Doo 2 (People eat up this kind of stuff by the bucket) 2. Jersey Girl 3. Dawn of the Dead 4. The Passion of Christ 5. Ladykillers 10. Never Die Alone (I have seen one commercial for this on MTV2. But it does have DMX, so I think it'll place in the top ten...barely.)

What was the whole point of the IRS-123 Kid match at Summerslam 93? 123 Kid was fresh off the upsets of Ted DiBiase and Razor Ramon and had his decent push and IRS wasn't particularly going anywhere, yet IRS just beat Waltman in like four minutes.
