  1. What's with Mole and Bob Barron's random long standing grudge against each other? Can one of the board historians explain that to me.
  2. Been listening to a lot of classics today The Rolling Stones- Sticky Fingers Bryan Ferry-These Foolish Things David Bowie- Station To Station
  3. David Bowie- "Soul Love" (live from Stage)
  4. What the hell? That was a debunked rumor from three months ago! Unless, they've decided to actually reunite.
  5. I must correct myself. While Marvin is really shitty, MVP/Deon/Douchebag is a somewhat close 2nd. Not only is he a really shitty poster but he has a habit of bumping old threads for no good reason.
  6. Thirded. Nobody even approaches Marvin. Not even the mouthbreathers in the WWE folder.
  7. Meh. She's certainly not worth ruining Hogan Knows Best over!
  8. Kind of an obvious answer but I bet EBay has a ton of vinyls at relatively reasonable prices. I'd check yard sales too. It seems like whenever I got a yard sale (granted, it's not often), someone's always trying to unload their record collection.
  9. I can't find any pictures of this chick on Google. All I'm getting are pictures of The Hulkster
  10. Oh I know why we have Timmy Ho's down here. We get a shit ton of Canadian tourists. Especially those damn French Canadian tourists. It was probably just as astonishing for me when I went to Montreal and didn't find a single Dunkin' Donuts up there. Growing up in New England made me believe that every place in North America is just as innundated with Dunkin' Donuts as we are. I forget that they don't even have Dunkin' Donuts outside of the Eastern Seaboard really.
  11. Allegedly, Ric Flair carried El Gigante to some pretty good matches (in the *** range) during their house show series in '91. But since I don't think any of those were taped, that's all based on hearsay. It wouldn't surprise me though if Flair did drag a good match out of the lug. Flair circa '91 could have carried me to a *** match.
  12. My best (or worst) puking story would be puking in the middle of a crowded McDonalds when I was 9 or 10. I had been sick the previous night but I managed to keep the crackers and ginger ale I ate for breakfast down so I thought I was fine. I wasn't.
  13. Ideally, it'd be Virgil or Howard Finkel's. No-wait- Virgil's would be funnier cause then they'd have to compile a montage of great Virgil moments and try to justify Virgil being in the Hall of Fame.
  14. My favorite, at least currently, has to be "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters". "Daniel" is a close second. I still haven't figured whether the song is about his gay lover, his blind Vietnam Vet brother, or perhaps both.
  15. Yikes- is that a professional baseball team or a particularly bad gay men's choir?
  16. Fonzie was Gonzalez's handler in WCW as well. I remember he wrote a column in one of the wrestling magazines (PWI or WOW or something) about five years back about being Gonzalez's handler. And Gonzalez is just terrible. One of the worst wrestlers I've seen. I don't know if it was his condition or something else, but he was very weak for a guy of his size. And what's the use for a 7'7'' wrestler if he can't throw people around?
  17. I think the odds of Grizzly Smith inducting Jake are just as likely as Jake's half brother, Sam Houston or half-sister Rockin' Robin inducting him. I think Sam Houston is serving a ten year sentence in prison right now but that's neither here nor there.
  18. Hey now, Andrew Ridgely is married to one of the chicks from Bananarama. To tie this into the thread, George Michael sang backup vocals on the aforementioned "Nikita". And IIRC, Wham! did backup vocals during Elton John's set at Live Aid.
  19. I'll admit his output in the past 25 years has sucked. Though "Nikita" amuses me since it's the only love song dedicated to a male Soviet Guard. I found that out on Pop Up Videos. Seriously, Nikita's a guy name and he never specifies which gender he's singing about! Come to think of it, a lot of his songs were gender-neutral. Who was he fooling in the seventies? but I like pretty much anything he did up until 1975ish.
  20. Any other fans of his on this board? Come on, someone else here has got to like Madman Across The Water, Tumbleweed Connection, Honky Chateau, or Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, right?
  21. Basically any of Marvin's posts from CE. Pick one, any one.
  22. I was the same way with Eureka's Castle hand puppets that Pizza Hut had for a while. Now that's a show that needs to be on DVD...
  23. Hey, there's nothing wrong with the name "The Truthiness", but I'm a Colbert fan. As for The Truthiness the poster, not so much. I seem to recall him having some argument about how unover or bad someone was (Shawn Michaels, I think) awhile ago. I can't remember much about it (thankfully) but I'm sure it was very stupid with everyone chiming in. I forgot it was a Colbert reference. I guess it's not that bad of a name but he's one hell of a bad poster. And dustinbeaverton is a surprisingly wise man. I think Marvin could learn a lesson or two from him...
  24. I remember that. It was during the short-lived TGIF lineup right after Family Matters and Step By Step left for CBS. I think I'm the only one who really liked that line up (Sabrina The Teenage Witch at 8, Boy Meets World at 8:30, You Wish at 9, and Teen Angel at 9:30. Yes I looked the order up on wikipedia, I'm not that big of a dork). I was indifferent to You Wish but I loved Teen Angel. Besides The Critic, I don't think I was ever more upset at a show's cancellation than when Teen Angel got cancelled. If I watched an episode now, I'd probably think it was terrible but for the season it was on, it was my 2nd favorite show behind The Simpsons. I was also vehemently opposed to CBS' short lived TGIF competitor, CBS Block Party at the time. Those bastards stole Family Matters and Step By Step and Balkie!
  25. Even as a mark I thought this show was kind of shitty but it always has had a certain charm to me. It's hard to explain. I'm not sure if the best match of the night breaks past the *** barrier but the show is immensely watchable. Unfortunately I used this show to introduce my best friend to wrestling. He may have not liked wrestling even if I introduced him by showing a really good tape but this show is probably a bad way to introduce non-viewers to wrestling. Anyway, The New York segment is terrible and damn near ruins the whole show. That Susan St. James was awful, she made Art Donovan sound like Gordon Solie. The Chicago segment is really fun, Bulldogs-Dream Team is probably MOTN and as a battle royal mark, I've always loved the NFL-WWF battle royal. And The L.A. one is pretty good too with a solid JYD and Tito-Funks match and Steamboat carrying Hercules to a half-decent match.
