  1. The pre 1986 videos are lost (or were taped over). I've been addicted to this website for the past week or so. Ebert and Roeper is really good and Roeper has improved quite a bit since he started but Siskel and Ebert were on another level. The favorite review I've watched so far though is Roeper and special guest critic, Kevin Smith reviewing Step Up from last summer.
  2. I'm the same way with the elderly. I can't listen to 99% of geriatrics speak for more than two minutes before I desperately try to find a way to end the conversation.
  3. A friend of mine got into that with her now ex-fiancee. I went along with it for a lot longer than I should have, just out of guilt to her. The fact that she made a point to tell me about her new venture while I was drunk in a bar kind of tipped me off. Vector sounds awfully familiar, I'm not sure why. The salesman job was vacuum cleaners, billing themselves as CleanAirCanada or something. Vector sells cutlery. I had a job interview with them a couple of months back that literally lasted 30 seconds. I wasn't too crushed by their rejection because I didn't really want to sell cutlery in the first place.
  4. http://www.sony.com/brotherssolomon Looks like it could be awesome. Or it could be another Let's Go To Prison.
  5. Actually, he chose an equally unsuccessful blender. Pastamania was the restaurant he owned at the Mall of The Americas.
  6. I saw the guy on Jimmy Kimmel Live a couple nights ago. I didn't get why it was supposed to be funny or entertaining. Yeah he's got a weird voice, so what?
  7. It'll be #1 next week certainly and I'm guessing it'll make 30-35 mil maybe even 40 but it won't be the huge box office hit that Rush Hour or Rush Hour 2 were. It's just way too long after Rush Hour 2.
  8. It surely would have lasted another few years and probably would have a good chance of still being around today. I bet it'd even rise up to become a distant but still somewhat competitve #2 company (more so than TNA is now). I don't know whether ROH would still exist. Maybe not since RF wouldn't need to have another big seller with ECW still around. TNA may have existed (The WCW exhiles that the WWF didn't want- would have needed somewhere to go) but I doubt it would have lasted as long as it has. Maybe a year or two tops.
  9. I have terrible handwriting I'm not a very good conversationalist I'm terrible at 99% of sports (and the 1% I'm not terrible at are sports that don't really matter like Pickle Ball)
  10. The Heat should complete the trifecta and bring back Nick Anderson! He can redeem himself for missing those free throws! They should get Horace Grant back while they're at it! Now that is a reunion tour I'd pay too watch.
  11. Today I only had two meals again! I got to go back to being a three meals a day guy and I've eaten fast food two days in a row. Though the two meals today were sort of big. Lunch: Leftover penne with Spicy Italian Sausage and a glass of water. Mid day drink: A Cherry Coke Big Gulp (God those things are excessive- I can't imagine drinking an a Super Big Gulp) Early evening drink: Arizona Ice Tea Fruit Punch Dinner: Two Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers, fries and a Hi C Fruit Punch from Wendy's
  12. Ketchup on sandwiches are gross. I like ketchup on fries and burgers and can tolerate it on eggs. I've even learned to accept those who commit the act of soiling their hot dogs with the red devil sauce. But ketchup on any kind of sandwich sounds disgusting.
  13. I'm sure I'll get a wave of crap for this but I kind of find Chris Tucker funny. If you want to exhile right now, I'll understand
  14. Yeah, as a mark, I remember it being amusing and sort of "edgy" (Remember I was 10-11 years old at the time. I didn't have a high criteria for edgy) but I think the tide was already turning in favor of the WWF at the time of those skits and I think that skit had a very minor impact if any on the WWF winning the Monday Night Wars. The reason why it is so well remembered in reterospect is because history is written by winners.
  15. With all due respect, that is a stupid fucking question. If they somehow got in, they'd ejected by security. If they didn't ejected by security, they'd get their ass kicked by some WCW guys. How would it affect anything? I don't know it's such an absurd thought.
  16. I've always been partial to Los Boricuas and the original Kaientai. Seriously, it's going to be pretty hard for someone to argue against The Hart Foundation for greatest WWF/E stable of all time.
  17. Breakfast: Salami sandwich with honey mustard on it (That was the only condiment in the fridge besides ketchup. And yes, the sandwich was pretty bad) and a glass of water. Mid day snack: Grapes, Cherry Kool Aid and a couple of tortilla chips (forgot to eat lunch yesterday) Dinner: A Whopper Jr, Small Fry, and a Chocolate Shake from The B.K. Lounge Snack: Chocolate Ice Cream
  18. I thought Bobby Brown did the theme to Ghostbusters 2. And the reason that Ghostbusters 3 will be CGI is because Bill Murray's taking a break from acting right now and only wants to do voice over work.
  19. Hell, let's get Elgin Baylor out there! He should have a ring!
  20. My memory's somewhat foggy so someone else can fill in the blanks but IIRC after Razor Ramon lost to The 123 Kid, Ted DiBiase started mocking Razor for losing to a (then) jobber 123 Kid. So a couple weeks later, DiBiase has a match with the 123 Kid and Razor interferes to give The 123 Kid the win.
  21. My older brother went through a phase where he liked Fear Factory's version of "Cars" better than Gary Numan's. I nearly disowned him.
  22. His real name is Aaron Stevens but he has been using Idol Stevens since I first saw him on an indy show back in 02/03ish. New England based indy wrestlers haven't fared too well in the WWE in recent years (Palmer Cannon, The Heartthrobs , the aforementioned Idol Stevens) but we did have Scotty 2 Hotty, who had an inexplicably long run in WWE!
  23. Eh, thumbs in the middle, leaning down. He has potential to be a good heel but is way more likely to be a X-Pac type heel that everybody just wants to go away. He's average on the mic and average in the ring.
  24. Honestly, in short, I don't think it would have changed much. Rude's death was about a year and a half after Pillman's, right? It would have gotten some media attention definitely (probably on the level of Eddie Guerrero's death) but you have to remember WWF had one of the hottest shows in the country and I think it would have been hard to bring it down. And I bet Owen would still do the Blue Blazer thing. The difference between Owen's death and Rude's death was Rude's death was the cause of years and years of steroid abuse and Owen's was a freak accident.
  25. Didn't Steve Vai also play for David Lee Roth? That's way worse than Whitesnake. Actually IIRC, David Lee Roth's solo backing band was filled with virtuosos. I cause Diamond Dave had a lot of cash to spare for his backing band.
