A Resident Evil 4 port is apparently coming to Wii in June. Wow that's just so incredibly exciting. At least they are only charging $30 (but really it should be $20) unlike Ubisoft who to the best of my knowledge are charging full price for their Prince of Persia port. Since I don't have RE4 for the Cube, I might check this out, but I'm not exactly waiting with bated breath.

Well, not that this really means anything, but Axl has always said that the Chinese Democracy sessions will yield two albums (well, he used to say three, but now he says two) so that the follow-up will be released a relatively short time after CD. Actually, it's beyond odd. It has always been a fairly straightforward song in concert and now there are like 10 different vocal tracks. That kind of vocal overproduction didn't help the Use Your Illusions and it isn't helping now.

Wrestling Observer Notes for 3/26 Batista will be writing an autobiography. Wow. Kane might be out for several months after Wrestlemania because of a knee injury. Ric Flair is kind of disappointed that his originally planned Wrestlemania match with Carlito was canceled. Apparently he believes that this is his penultimate Wrestlemania and wanted to be on the show. On a side note, and I didn't read this in the Observer, but Dave said this on his radio show this week, Flair is scheduled to go into the HOF next year. WWE wants Shocker. Shocker isn't sure about it because he didn't like TNA, but he has always wanted to wrestle for WWE. However, if he was to wrestle for them they would have to book him through CMLL and Dave doesn't think that WWE will be down with that. As of now, it is considered unlikely that Vickie Guerrero will be the new Smackdown GM. In fact, Dave says she might not be on TV much longer. Chris Masters, who you will remember is like 24, is getting hairplugs. LOL BALDO Deuce and Domino. Remember when it kind of looked like they were getting a big push? Well they aren't anymore. They'll still be around but there are no plans to push them. So that sexy model Christine LeMaster turned down the WWE contract offer. From what Dave wrote, I honestly can't tell if that means the deal has fallen through or if they just haven't agreed to terms yet. No it wasn't. Virtua Fighter 2 was. NiGHTS didn't really sell well at all in the US despite the large ad campaign for it and in Japan it sold relatively well, but it was still only the 12th best selling Saturn game in that country.

Of course it's going to do well when it's the first week. You didn't see PS3 games topping the sales charts in the US last November because (A) Wii launched at the same time and (B) There were several big-name titles being released at the same time for 360, PS2, DS, etc. Here in March it has the spotlight mainly to itself for the Euro launch.

I don't think there's much doubt that nostalgia is the sole reason why people still like the original NES TMNT. Hell, that's the only reason I still like it.

Oh man if this is the real thing it will be a watershed moment in TSM history.

I read on Joystiq that it was the most successful console launch in UK history. Of course, the UK is only part of Europe.

Anyone ever notice that the chord progression in the Zelda theme is very similar to that of the classic song "Por una cabeza" AKA the tango song from True Lies, Scent of a Woman and many other movies? I saw a Virtual Boy in a local CD store about 3 years ago. It was either $25 or $35 and came with Mario's Tennis and Mario Clash. I was going to buy it, but then I saw the Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest disc for Gamecube and decided to pick that up instead. Well I'm not even that good at Ocarina of Time the normal way. What made me think I would be better on a harder version?!?!???? And the next time I went to the store, it was gone! I AM SUCH A DUMBASS. I LOVE MARIO CLASH. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A VIRTUAL BOY SINCE. AND I DON'T BUY STUFF ONLINE.

The thing is,VF2 Genesis isn't so horribly ad that it's laughable or anything. It's just that in the early days of the series, the main appeal of VF was the mere fact that is was 3D, and without that, what is there?
