They're from FFXIII Agito--the mobile game. That's pretty much all that is known.
-
The SP is slightly larger than my wallet, though. That's friggin' small enough. Of course, when you take into account the absolutely moronic product that is the Nano, it's surprising they didn't buy it up.

The exception is the Micro. It plays GBA games and only GBA games. GBC and GB games don't work. Of course, they'd look ridiculous anyway, but since the DSes don't support GB/GBC games either, there's little reason to have the Micro when the DS was only about 30 bucks more. I'd probably get a Micro when I can get it for about 30 bucks, but otherwise no.

Hey, these skirts are longer! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Agito.jpg Silly Anya, you have nothing to worry about. The first redesign of a Nintendo console is the "good" one (i.e. SP, DS Lite, Game Boy Color), the 2nd redesign is just making it impractically small (Micro, Game Boy Pocket). Just wait for the pink Lite. Oh, the SP got a subtle redesign of a brighter screen, which happened at around the same time the micro was released, but the Lite trumps them all.

They were revealed at E3, actually. It's old news and I don't even really follow the series anymore. It's hard to believe Nomura's characters designs have gotten even lamer and more cliche since FFVII, but they have. It's also not one game, but at least 3 (although one is a mobile phone game). FFXIII : on PS3, another FF RPG. FF Vs. XIII: Also on PS3, its more "action-oriented." FF Agito XIII: A mobile game. It is rumored that they'll do like 3 more besides that too (maybe a PSP game included), but supposedly each game is centered around different characters, with different gameplay styles. Don't ask me what the hell they're trying to accomplish with this, though. An overview: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabula_Nova_C...al_Fantasy_XIII To be fair, nobody cared about the Micro (which came out last year), and the DS Lite is the same price as the DS was. I wish there were a cheaper, smaller redesign of the XBox, but that's not happening for many and varied reasons.

Well, Iceman's still learning to use his powers. Funny how the video game has him traveling on ice slides and apparently kicking lots of BUTT, unlike in the movie.
-
Yeah--it was widely known that it was pulled from a crapload of theaters (I remember especially since i was considering going to it so a friend and I could make fun of it). There's probably a strong case there.

Wicker Man w/o Christopher Lee? No good can come of that.
-
Good idea--I was thinking it would be smart for Disgaea 2 and EBA. I haven't had to chance to play the original PW, though. I passed considering most people said it was short and had no replay value. Is that fair or no?

I was getting "DX is returning at Vengeance" PPV ads on TV, so it's not "just the internet." Not that I care, just sharing.

Maybe under different circumstances I'd say 'yeah.' For the sake of an Orton push, though? For the sake of a shitty foreign heel push? Fuck him. Fuck him in the ear. Of course, it's pathetic they have to go to a retired guy to put over one of Vince's golden boys because HHH won't job to their worthless asses.

Because almost no big guys have a leg submission move, so it's thrown in there like a placeholder. Even if damaging a specific body part isn't really in your wrestler's strategy, it pays to have moves that wear down everything if you need to soften somebody up for a partner in a tag match, for instance. Usually head/body aren't a problem, but you need to usually toss in something like an armbreaker/kneebreaker to makes sure you're well rounded.

Hooray, a portable game ported to a console of one of the most drawn-out game franchises around! Has anyone else gotten one of these calls? http://www.penny-arcade.com/forums/viewtop...der=asc&start=0 A friend of mine who reserved Kingdom Hearts 2 did indeed get it as well. "It's an automated call by a woman who pretends to be named Aeris. Because, you know, she's named after a Final Fantasy VII character and thus lonely nerds will not hang up on her!" WTF GS?! I'm glad my EB doesn't do stuff like that...for now anyway.

What the hell? They actually had her use the same blades on the poster?! How the hell could anyone fight with those things? Let alone two of them? I'll see it at some point though, but it's a shame this is the best Loken can do right now. I have no idea if she can do regular acting, but there's not much anyone could do with a Boll script anyway.

How was the "OMGHAWT!!!~" lesbian sex scene that Boll gushed over? Apparently not that interesting. Not that I'm surprised, since he managed to give Alone in the Dark the funniest sex scene around outside of Team America. Oh, and for the record this movie was in theaters, but in extremely limited distribution. Like, nowhere within 100 miles of me limited, and I'm fairly close to Pittsburgh and the West Virginia border. I intend to see this, but not until I get a free rental coupon; I don't pay for Uwe Boll films out of principle.

Well since X3 had the second highest opening say EVER (After Revenge Of The Sith) then I guess that the mentality they have is fine. And I quite liked The Punisher. Very underrated and one of the better Marvel movies. Read bob barron's post. X3 will be lucky to make back it 210 million dollar budget. Hulk had the same problem. Once word got out that the movie blew, it finished at 120 million, which is exactly how much it cost to make the movie in the first place. This is not good news in the least. X3 is 4th, not 2nd highest. $210 million budget?! X1 was $75m and X2 was $110m. Fox's faith in Ratner over Singer is rather disturbing. I guess all those explosions don't come cheap, though.

I missed SD, but I'm curious about McCool's new gimmick. Pixplz. How blatant of a Hancock knockoff is it? However, why SD, considering she was the only Diva Search winner/loser to demonstrate a lick of ability out of the gate? -
I never knew of dvdcompare.net. Thanks for the indirect link hookup. I've only seen the theatrical blade runner, which was an old VHS tape. On that site, they noted: 4) "Final Cut". Should be the "definitive Director's Cut" by Scott, and will be released in 2007. Maybe I could wait, but I worry it will be "Lucased." I'm not sure even the original director should tamper with a quality film 2 decades afterwards, especially when the original was unquestionably released during that director's best years. Sure, they have every right to, but the results typically aren't that great. DCs of Blade Runner are available everywhere, though.

Might have been Shamrock, cause I believe both Owen and Mabel were a part of it. It was a triple threat match between Ken Shamrock, Owen Hart, and Triple H a week or two after Shamrock won the tournament. Wasn't it called the "King of Kings" match...? -
You must use a PS1 memory card. You can *store* PS1 saves on a PS2 memory card, but you can't use the data on there. I think it has something to do with the way it is formatted, but just remember you must save PS1 games on PS1 cards to work, and PS2 games must be saved on PS2 cards. PS3 will not accept either, so any PS2/1 game saves must be saved to the HD or memory sticks, or there may eventually be an external method of transferring saves on existing memory cards.

Never confirmed, but at that time JS was rumored to be in everything.

Hey..I *liked* Mystery of the Batwoman...a little bit. Me too, but it was never intended to have much dramatic weight to it. Liked the music, definitely. However, set beside Mask of the Phantasm and Subzero it really does fall quite short even as far as action scenes. Any allegations that Tara Strong "ruined" Mercy has to do more with the writing than her, though. "The once cold Brainiac is now expressing his emotions like Data in Star Trek, Lex is flailing his arms around like a six year old and Mercy is now a blonde who giggles like Marilyn Monroe." "Jimmy Olson...is oogling the hundreds of images he took of Mercy Graves." Definitely sounds like the writing and direction to me. Did somebody get a concussion and mix up Mercy with Harley?
-
Yeah, but I'll take a game that references Ed Wood and Hitchhiker's over generic mercs blowing crap up (not that the commercial for that one wasn't fun). Most of DAH's faults are the typical ones you run into with the sandbox genre--repetitive missions, discovery is often as good as mission-ending (but there's no simple way to just abort the mission and retry if you're still alive), occasionally clunky controls. Did Mercs give you a flying saucer equipped with a death ray? I don't think so. Plus, near the end the difficulty really ramps up to annoying levels, as the military has things set up to launch missiles at your saucer, and you're fighting guys in friggin' exosuits. WTF Pandemic, it's the damn 50's! It was actually a different development team that did Mercanaries than DAH, though. However, hopefully they improve on some of the problems in the sequel.

Homebrewers could distribute games through the virtual console. -
He really wasn't on it that long. Out of 14 seasons, he was only a part of 5. The first 2 being the "Orignal" MMPR. And the last being only 2 seasons ago. He came back after a long absence (which no one else has done), which I guess made it seem like he was on for a long time, but he wasn't. Well, at least it isn't gay porn. - http://dumbbaby.net/a/058.shtml
