Probably only Special K can answer me on this, but has anyone seen Slayers Great? I haven't bothered trying to pick it up--because the movies are pretty much Lina and Naga affairs, and I hate Naga (ok, the laugh is gold, but overall Martina is about a hundred times more entertaining IMO).

It seems everybody these days wants to cash in on the old beat 'em ups, but rarely has it been pulled off well. Urban Reign - It's pretty good, one of the best of them so far. Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks - ignore the storyline screwups and you've got a darn fine game. One of the few of these revivals to "get" that 2 player is one of the features that kept the genre going back in the day. Spike Out - Excellent 3D beat 'em up. Older than the above--it's one of the games I'm hoping will become BC for the 360, but since hardly anyone even knows this game exists on Xbox, I don't expect it. Final Fight Streetwise - So close, and yet so far. Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance - Meh. Anyway, this one is from the hands of a talented developer--Clover, who brought us Viewtiful Joe and Okami--and looks quite good. Oh, and it's clearly really, really weird. It's also directed by Resident Evil's Shinji Mikami. Basically it seems like the Japanese take on what Fist of the North Star would be like in the Old West. Oh--and gameplay vids.... I just picked up the Season 2 JL DVD set. Wow... Not just the eps, which are very good from what I've seen. But "wow" in that I somehow managed to miss damn near the entire 2nd season of this show. I mean, out of the eps listed I can remember seeing Starcrossed, and that's about it. It's clear to me why the crew isn't so proud of Season 1--this clearly blows it away. And I still haven't seen some eps of Season 1. I think this is all due to CN's changing of its time plus my college classes then.

Yeah....just remember where those 3 nintendo games I sent you came from.......and I'm not that insane. Okay, maybe it's just San Francisco, LA and Hollywood that's batshit, and the rest of the state is just plain ol' insane. I've dealt with many a hyphenated last-name, loudmouthed, stupid ranting/raving lunatic from California at my job calling in.
-
I say regardless of the location, Californians are still batshit insane.

Nintendo is going to *announce* the Wii info--price, release date, etc in September. I really hope that Virtual Console is stacked with 3rd Party stuff, including Castlevania 3. I picked up a Retrocon (a bootleg NES system), and like virtually every other NES knockoff, which is usually NOAC (NES on a Chip), it doesn't play Castlevania 3 due to the game's custom sound chip. Everything else seems to play beautifully (my NES kept crashing in games), and maybe I'll have to just settle for emulated CV3 on the PC, but it's still a fine little system. All I want for Virtual Console then--CV3 and Rondo of Blood Arranged.

are all the games in order chronologically?

Afterthoughts from Iga on Curse: http://gonintendo.com/?p=3128 For those who haven't played Curse of Darkness, it is a game with a lot of great ideas (the innocent devils are kind of like the familiars from SotN but better), but it still suffers from major camera issues, repetitive level design (lots of big empty rooms), and it's really a glorifed dungeon crawler than a platformer. However it does have one of the best soundtracks ever, great boss fights and awesome cinemas. If it weren't for that major obstacle with gameplay...

Something people from New Yawk say I have.

I saw this, but I didn't post on the basis that I didn't have a source that I believed on it. I mean, anyone could fake that photo and there's obviously no GWB in it. Brain Age is terrific, but the voice recognition is terrible. If the game has a problem with my Western PA accent, Bush doesn't have a chance. Most of the rest of it I do very well in. Head count on Hard = arrrrrrrrrgh though. And on Low to High I can't seem to get beyond 6 correct unless I get lucky.

Half.com has SH2 on there for usually around 10 bucks or less. I picked up the one I have in a pawn shop, complete for 10. SH2 is the easiest to find by far, but Gamestop jacked it up to $19.99 bucks used. Ditto for FFX. The game is 20 ****ing dollars new! Why?! You can still buy FFX-2 for $9.99. It being a piece of crap probably has something to do with that.

"This video has been removed at the request of copyright owner WWE because its content was used without permission" What was it?
-
I didn't forget about the other stuff, it's just something that any writer that was a fan of Supes would hear and be like "WTF?!" Even if the WWE writers didn't suck by themselves, you have folks like that dictating the way things go. Peters didn't get enough of the Discovery Channel if he thinks spiders are insects. And unless he misquoted Peters, they were going to have polar bears in the Antarctic, although the Fortress is generally in the Arctic where there are actually polar bears. Maybe someone will use it for when the Indian Superman returns. I honestly don't have a problem with the "superman suit in a can" thing provided it isn't "too big for him" at any point. Sure, it's a total ripoff of the Marvel symbiotes, but the development of a docile life form that apparently climbs onto your skin and would presumably be invulnerable under a yellow sun doesn't seem beyond Krypton's "So-incredible-why-the-hell-didn't-we-think-of-a-way-to-save-ourselves" super-science. Plus it makes more sense than the explanations for Supes' costume previously. "It's krypton cloth! It's super here! Martha Kent made it by...um...unraveling Kal's baby blanket thread-by-thread." "It's like, Supes' solar charged aura, which makes it durable because it's so close to his skin."

The PS1 game is hard to find now, at least out of EB Games/Gamestop. After the movie it seems lots of people started trying the series, which shocks me. So a game that's 7 years old, has gone GH, has likely a million + copies out there--is now in such high demand you're going to have a hard time finding a copy under 30 bucks. Insane. 2, 3, and 4 are also getting to be in short supply, but nothing approaching SH1 yet. Oh, and a few other observations: NES Classics Super Mario Bros GBA is in a similar situation. I only saw 1 today running around the Pittsburgh area, and Gamestop was charging 20 bucks. Ha! Shadow Hearts 1 has apparently gotten a reprint. Other rare titles to get reprints (that are more well known)--Gitaroo Man and Rez. Silent Hill is backordered on the EBGames website, and currently they want $17.99. I've actually been looking for it for a friend, but after playing some of Silent Hill 2 (I have already collected 2 and 4 for him, and 3 is on the way from an online purchase) I might find myself getting into this series.

Plus remember that after 90 days, Sony's warranty expires. So it's either you get an extended warranty and pay even more, or hope Sony gets sued again. The Wii will likely have a 1 year warranty like Nintendo's other systems. The 360 unfortunately is 90 standard with an extended service plan for more $.

Yup, and yet there's kryptonite...and about a hundred other plot holes. I love the part where his dad says "hey, you're supposed to save Krypton later in the trilogy, so what is your lazy ass doing dead? Get back in that body, Kal-El!" Sadly that's actually one of the better scripts. It could have been even worse. "1. I don't want to see him in that suit. 2. I don't want to see him fly. 3. He fights a giant spider in the 3rd act."

Navy Blue isn't in the US tho.

Except for the "exclusive" Assassin's Creed (ha ha ha!), there's not a single PS3 property that I care about, so I'll pass until a good price and cheap/plentiful library comes.

Bumping for the lamely awesome richter v. drac intro from SotN. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IorWvXDQfOI "Dracula! THREE DEE!" (Legacy of Darkness was a good game, though).

Vyce: Checked youtube and it's on there. "Shameless" does not even come close to describing it.

Not sure about that, but this would certainly be messy: http://www.superdickery.com/dick/130.html

If you've never seen TF: The Movie(1986) then find it and watch it...it is still a completely badass film. Yeah, it's fun the animation is much better than the show (that is, decent). Shame that Rodimus went from that bright spot to an emo.

So, I'm left with wondering what, if anything, Lois remembers from the Superman II relationship they had. If Supes 3 and 4 never happened...why he just up and left and is that the whole reason they're estranged? Returns doesn't overtly say if she got amnesia kissed at some point about his secret identity or not.
