Ultimate Muscle sequel coming to PS2..in the US!
AndrewTS replied to AndrewTS's topic in Video Games
Well, I hate your avatar. WHAT?! In what way was WCW on NES better? -
When she dressed all in black and it was a light brown/dirty blonde? I'd agree. I liked blonde Molly a lot, though, too.

Uh, bps was being sarcastic, I'm pretty sure. He meant to give it -*. And Tawren explained his reasoning for his rating. King Cucaracha: Keith is rather strange sometimes. With the Angle/Brock Ironman, he did something he rarely did: explained what he thought was right and wrong about the match. Those were things I mostly agreed with, in fact. Then he gives it over 4 stars despite the large flaws. HUH?!

BDC: I wouldn't count on it. The German Suplex hasn't been treated like a finisher in WWE/F in a long time. Ten years ago Bret and Shawn used it all the time near the end of matches but didn't get wins with them (at least not major ones). In the mid-90's, nearly everyone from jobber to main eventer used "belly to back suplexes." Shawn used to use the Teardrop suplex as a finish, but that's a loong time ago. After that, other technical wrestlers have used it mainly as a regular move (in both WCW and WWF), including the Steiners, despite Scott's stiff-looking versions. Alex Wright used it as a finish...but it's ALEX WRIGHT so no one cares. Unlike in Japan, the German's just a regular move. String THREE of them together and we should have a bonafide guaranteed finish if all three hit, but it has been downgrading so much that doesn't happen. If I were booking, when you hit that third one, you bridge that motherfucker, ONE--TWO--THREE that's it. However, I hate WWE's "one finisher" style; it makes little sense and makes nearly every non-finisher move worthless (well, save for the ROLL-UP!~). Having several moves that could end the match would pull fans more into the matches, IMO. I'd prefer each wrestler that's midcard or higher have a handful of moves that could end the match. Thing is, there are plenty of such moves that they have now, they just never win with them. Okay, Taker has/had 3-4 "finisher" style moves, but that's the exception. I'd also like it if wrestlers often changed up their finishers. If one move isn't cutting is as a finisher anymore, drop it and find another. It would be more interesting if the movesets of wrestlers kept evolving, but WWE style kills that. In WWE, each wrestler only knows X number of moves, and can't do anything else. Trivia: Yeah, I like that idea too, but there aren't many guys that would take the Dragon, and Benoit couldn't do it on some of the bigger guys.

You bastard! You watched SF: The Movie! And it's "Viktor," BTW. Where the hell did all these Sagat fans come from? I blame Capcom vs. SNK 2.

First: Have you seen THAT Havoc match? Second......that limb comment is like saying that Hogan vs Warrior II would be as good as the first one. Never gonna happen. Yeah, I've seen that match, it's on the Rey DVD, remember? And yeah, just a stupidly obvious observation, but it was mainly meant to reflect that despite the fact we're getting a show main evented by that match, it's still not going to match up to the one that WCW gave us back when they were just a couple cruisers who made it onto a PPV. Although the difference between it then and now is a lot different from the situation with Hogan-Warrior II. This case: moveset changes, adjustments to the "WWE style," and the wrestlers bulking up since 97. That case: ....where to start..?

On Jericho's finisher woes: I have it! He'll use a Lionsault Legdrop! Looks like some good wrestling even if not long matches. Eddie/Rey should be great, but I'll go out on a limb and predict the quality will be "not at good as that Havoc match."

About freakin' time! My vote goes to... ...oh, wait. Stupid Google image search! I mean, my vote goes to:

Well, that kinda defeats the purpose of an "Ultimate" collection... And the Ultimate Submission match--that was the half-hour thing on Backlash 2001, right?
-
Well, she also sorta would be the heel when she was screwing Eddie in the shower during the Chyna angle. Of course she only made that one appearance during the angle. Shamrock 2.0 was face Angle last year, actually.

Jericho sucks as a face as well.

"A huge bomb"? By what standards? MGS2 was a huge hit in stores, Konami made money by the barrelful with that game. It also seemed a critical hit as well, except for those who hated Raiden and whacky gamers like me who like to have more gaming in our games and found the story, characters, plot, writing, etc to totally munch.

I wouldn't want them to use up a whole hour on one match to be honest. I presume they'd show highlights in a build-up to the WrestleMania match. 2 Andys agree! Do I hear 3?

Crappy movies, I believe. "I'm Gilbert Gottfried, and welcome back to U-S-A UP All Night, and you're watching Striptease with Demi Moore. Stay tuned afterwards for Marilyn Chambers' Wet Malibu Nights."

http://www.dvdoverseas.com/dvd.htm http://www.vidmarc.demon.co.uk/mondo-erotico/dvdPlayer.html Some info I hope is helpful. ^ You might have difficulty locating an all-region DVD player here in the States, so that gizmo for the PS2 isn't a bad deal at all.

My fellow Foley-hater friend Tawren explained why he rated it that way, and I happen to agree, except I'd say ***. I suppose he probably didn't rate the Taker/Brock HIAC as high as so many others have, so we're probably thinking along the same lines. Except for things like "crowd heat" and "Benoit went over clean with the Crossface," I haven't seen anyone explain why it should it rated that high as far as things that happened inside the ring from the starting bell up until the finish. That's what I'm asking and what Tawren's been asking for.

There are sites around you can order it from, but you need an all-region DVD player. how can you tell? Would it play on a PS2? Europe uses different "Region" DVD players than us, plus they have different formats of TVs. Usually the Region and format will be listed on an online DVD listing. Yes, you can play it on a PS2, but if it is an American PS2 you'd need something like this: http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=...oducts_id=2775& is there a way I can figure it out if it works on ALL REGIONS on the DVD player itself? It may be touted as a special feature, but you may need to check the box thoroughly. I use my PS2 as a DVD player and I never purchased any DVDs from out of the States, so I can't tell you a certain model DVD player for certain.

USA?! What's on that channel these days, anyway? What's its highest-rated program get in ratings?

Welcome to "When Cool Wrestlers Turn Face...And Suck." At least it's somewhat balanced out by Slutty Heel Trish.

*honks the "Nobody gives a fuck" horn* Mixed feelings, mixed feelings...

Fuck that! While Rene doesn't flat out suck, Conway's loads better than him and Rene needs more time tagging to be of any real use as a singles threat. Damnit, I hope Conway isn't anchored with that shitbag Grenier.

I like this idea. Especially if it is a draft rather than a lottery. Drafts are always fun. But, but--their season never ends! The first draft was cool in effect, but in practice it was just a waste of time because most of the roster wasn't drafted. The only point would be to have a few wrestlers get a bit of a rub by being a high draft pick. I think that likely the wrestlers will have some say in what show they go to or if they stay.

I'm sort of thinking that none of the titles that recently changed hands will be stripped. So probably both tag belts, the Intercontinental, and possibly the Cruiserweight title will be put up for grabs. The tag teams can be shuffled around, broken up, new teams formed from seperate shows. Orton can be sent to SD to be Taker fodder. Chavo and Eddy can continue their feud while THE GENERAL expresses his distress over the unjust stripping of Chavo's title. Cena will probably keep the US title unless he's too injured to wrestle much. Eddie and Benoit need to keep their titles. ...eh, fuck Victoria, strip her!
