Wireless nunchuck is pointless. I'd drop the damn thing all the time, and you'd pretty much have to tack on ANOTHER wrist strap. Better idea: either a Wavebird with a better dpad and rumble, or an iteration of the Classic controller that doesn't need to be chained to the Wiimote and works for Gamecube games. Awesome.

That's a million times better than Urban Champion. Hardcore Gaming 101's webmaster would be pleased to see Soldier Blade: http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/sta...starsoldier.htm Streets of Rage--oh, gee, really Sega? You finally realized people like this series? 8 bucks is pricey but at least it's coming. Comix Zone - I own it like 3 times over. The rest suck. I think SoR is the only one that isn't shovelware from Sega Genesis Collection, though. EDIT: Okay, as Thoth said, 3 of them are shovelware from SGC. You still suck donkey balls, Sega. Nintendo, your VC pricing sucks harder, though. There's very few 1st party Genesis games worth 8 bucks, let along Genesis games period.
  3. How does one not know of it was PS2 or 360? PS2 or Xbox I can buy...but just on the basis of recency...

Nintendo needs to make up for the crappy New Year's lineup, and Kid Icarus, Kirby and others on the ESRB site haven't seen release yet. There's no excuse for a week to go by without something half-decent.
  5. Sadly, the cables will probably cost as much or more than what you could get out out the system regularly. Ah yes, the endless cycle of football video games at retail: Game is purchased, game drops in price like a rock, new version is released, old one becomes worthless. I remember once upon a time when people seriously talked about how this was a doomed practice. In the future this won't be necessary! For a nominal fee, you'll be able to pay for a roster update! The games will always be ready with the newest changes! And much later, we have the technology, but...it's being used for EA to sell us content that's already on the disc. Ah, how naive people can be. Don't pretty much all the games provide you with enough player creation/trading options that one should be able to keep things up to date, though? It didn't stop 6 million North Americans from buying the last Madden, natch.
  6. Out of the original Genesis systems, the Genesis 3 (and if you count it, the Nomad) is the only one that still fetches a nice buck in the secondary market. Genesis 1 and 2 are common as dirt, and there's not much demand. On the other hand, all versions of the NES and SNES are still sought by folks. If you had the cables, I'd say give it a away to a local thrift shop or something. However, sometimes local legacy game shops will take them since they probably have lots of extra cables. However, only hit them up if you are going to be there anyway.

Apparently Nintendo is publishing it. They really should know better. That's the Japan version. US version, I believe, is being published by Eidos.
  8. I loved it too; check the Cosplay thread. Preordering Justice For All at EB or Gamestop gets you a special AWESOME POINT stylus. So I did. Does it fit in the DS Phat? If not, I can pass, as I already have the big pen stylus. It's not worth Gamestop's ridiculous 5 dollar premium for the *honor* of purchasing a DS game at Gamestop. You can get the original PW at Toys 'R Us for 20 bucks now--you might even be able to pre-order Justice For All, too.
  9. So at this point...Ebay could be used to look for PS3s at...a good price? Imagine that.

The extremely terrible Necro-Nesia has been announced for a US release. As "Escape from Bug Island." Some 1-up guys give the lowdown on the Jpn version: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/8021
  11. Hehe, yeah, that was really cool. Midna is such a great character. Even thinking about comparing her to Tatl/Navi or even Issun seems like a sad joke.
  12. Gyakuten Saiban 4 trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiPwIGqxhdc&NR Despite the poster's comments, this isn't for the Wii, but rather for the DS. It's the newest game in the series of titles we know as Pheonix Wright, but Pheonix isn't the main character.. But we'll probably see it here in some form.
  13. Just posting to say--that's awesome. 2 month-ish to go.
  14. Thing is a bit pricey for my tastes, but as far as I know it's only available in one configuration (60 GB/ $249, right?). As someone who doesn't own an iPod (gave away the one I got for work), it's an interesting device, but I'll hardly make use of many of its features. A smaller configuration/better price would be a good value for me, mayhaps.
  15. New Retro Roundup--light on content: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3156188 I'm pretty much posting for the Klonoa writeup, though.
  16. Even as someone who would gleefully point and laugh at Sony if the PS3 tanked, I'm getting a little tired of all of the "PS3s are out everywhere and no one's buying!" message board posts/blog posts/gaming site posts.
  17. What version of Beyond Good and Evil? PS2 version is dirt cheap and common, but also has horrible slowdown and looks pretty crummy. XBox and GC version look and run better, but are harder to find. Yet aren't in immense demand, really. I dig the game. It plays...kind of like some other games I enjoy... As for obscure games, I'm probably one of the few US fans of the Klonoa series. The first game is wicked, and the 2nd game is really sweet, too. My first PS2 game was Klonoa 2, which I bought with the system. I balked at just about everything else on the shelf for a while.
  18. Sonic is out on 360, but it's dogshit anyway. GamePro is still around, and sells well. They have a site at gamepro.com. And they still suck.
  19. Maybe when the PSP touch-up presumably makes the story make at least a damn bit of sense, perhaps. Those asshats at Konami need to bring Suikoden 1 and 2 on PSP over here. Ports/upgrades of high-demand PS1 RPGs would be worth the purchase of the system. Hell, I already own VP PSP for that inevitable day comes when I can justify the purchase of the system.
  20. Even if a game isn't "rare", extreme demand can ramp the 2ndhand market up big time. Less extreme examples can be seen in the SNES AAA RPGs. Chrono Trigger and FF3(6) aren't exactly rare, but everyone wants/wanted them years after release.
  21. Whoa--a number of lurking posters crawled out of the woodwork. And Muzz, sorry but only nominated games can recieve votes--unless you were just making conversation.
  22. Okay, fine then. Take your time. A GOTY candidate should have its share of reply value.
  23. It being your GOTY, I'd assumed you played it already, and to completion or close to it.
  24. Well, I've seen many people defend CV Adventure on technical limitations. Belmont's Revenge is very good, though. Castlevania Legends is terrible, though. It's like CV Adventure, but without as good an excuse (Released 1997!!! And it's like the same engine as Adventure!).
  25. I'm merely asking you to tell the unwashed masses what you think is so great about it. Rentals aren't cheap these days, you know. An in-depth review, with specific examples, please. The burden of proof appears to be on you.
