  1. OMG BIRCH RUN~!!! That's like a 15 minute drive from here. Anyway, I haven't missed a RR since 1992 (which was the first one I had a chance to order), but it looks like the streak ends here. I even ordered it last year when I went somewhere else to watch it at the last minute. I'm too out of the loop and too apathetic about that fact to even get excited about what was once my favorite PPV.
  2. So Al, thoughts on the trade? I don't think I've seen a full analysis of the deal from you, although it'd be tough to do without full knowledge of all the players involved.
  3. I agree that this move is being made more for the morale factor of the team, rather than the production element. However, I do think that they've gotta go out and find some sort of suitable replacement for him, otherwise, the Cubs have given up 75 homers, countless RBIs, and both corners of their outfield. We've got the Hollandsworth/ Dubois platoon, but who's gonna be playing right field, Jose Macias?
  4. Considering I got the set for about $16, I thought the new commentary and the original cut of the film were worth the price of admission alone. I didn't even bother with all of the extra crap, since these were the main selling points for me.
  5. I think he may be clean at the moment. He seemed fairly normal for the new commentary on the 10th Anniversary Clerks DVD, which is a change, since he was known for doing those things under the influence.
  6. Venezuela is obviously not the place to be if you have any ties to MLB.
  7. This is one movie where the humor didn't age well.
  8. It's amazing how many lame things can happen while you're away from the computer. Not the subtitle thing, just the reactions. THINK OF TEH CHILDREN~!
  9. Thanks for the links. I did check my paper, though, and it looks like the small theater a couple blocks from here will be featuring the film this week (they only show one movie each week), so I'll be dragging the woman to see this tomorrow night. I'm glad it's there, though, since they have a huge screen and not one like you'll find in the multiplex theatres.
  10. I could've told you this long ago. Sorry, but I still don't find the enjoyment of watching some freak going around killing people in twisted ways that make a simple stabbing look innocent. For some reason, people think lots of blood = horror. Lame.
  11. They phased him out because he was about as one-note as a character can possibly be. His act wasn't that funny in the short first season; I cringe to think about how stale he would've been not too far into the series had his character not been shown the door.
  12. I posted this over at DVD Talk, but forgot to note that they don't want any discussion on pirating copyrighted material. Basically, I need to view the film Ray before it drops on DVD this Tuesday, since I need to review the DVD BY the end of Tuesday for my college paper. Since I'm the A&E editor, I won't have time to watch the film and the extras, just the latter. So I need to find a good Torrent site that has it for download. Problem is, the places I always went are gone or don't have it. Suggestions?
  13. Boo @ having to sign up to view the article.
  14. People are still pushing for an RVD World Title reign? I know I'm out of the loop, so perhaps I've missed something, but RVD has been (rightfully) going through the motions since late 2002.
  15. OMG BRING BACK ECW 4 LIFE~!!!
  16. Early 2003. I stopped watching completely after Wrestlemania XX. I've loved wrestling since I was a kid, but it got to the point where I had seen just about everything that WWE was capable (or willing, I should say) to do. Thus, there was no need to continue watching the same matches rehashed, the same guys on top, and the same basic storylines being used. It's been surprisingly easy to "go on" without wrestling every week.
  17. The strangest part of that match was Brother Love doing solo commentary during it.
  18. I'll be checking out Wal-Mart first tomorrow for these, since I don't think they warrant $9.99 each, but I'd still like to get them.
  19. I think I would've rather faced the blizzard. Being with a girl on her period within closed confines can result in confrontations not unlike UFC.
  20. I've been watching a lot of DVDs since the snow began to fall Friday night. Don't really mind it, though, since I've had a lot to do around the house and being snowed in pretty much forced me to get around to it. Shoveling is an absolute bitch, though, since my mom seems to think that we don't need a snowblower for a massive driveway.
  21. The misframed sets are still what's mainly out in stores right now. It's not a big deal, though, since you can get the replacement discs after you buy the set.
  22. We all know they couldn't have done it without you.
  23. Wrong. 2001 featured weapons when Raven entered. And Cactus Jack and Terry Funk did it before Raven in the 1998 Rumble.
  24. I absolutely have to stop thinking Delgado is a catcher cuz I just did the same thing while reading this that I did when I read that the Marlins had resigned LoDuca: "Why do they need him, don't they still have Javy Lopez?" Considering how few games Delgado had actually caught in his MLB career, I don't know why I still find it hard to remember he plays first.
  25. Line of the week, folks. I nearly choked on my Frosted Flakes.
