  1. Kenny got his ass BEAT. Goddamn.
  2. What I especially like is both guys did exactly what they said they would do: Beat the fuck out of each other until one drops. They've probably won the UFC at least a few more buys for their PPV next week (not me though, since my cable took out PPV to force everyone to switch to digital). EDIT: Wow, Shamrock's 41?
  3. Wow....holy shit. I haven't watched UFC in a good long while, but FUCK was that an entertaining 15 minutes. I was actually pulling for a 4th round, but both guys deserved a contract. And Forrest is a funny son of a bitch. I could dig some more of this on Spike. Would probably pop a higher rating than Velocity does, anyway. The Shamrock/Franklin fight is like Hunter and Jericho following Hogan/Rock at X-8. No way they can get the crowd that keyed up again.
  4. I'm the only one that seems to be updating those lately, and I fell behind. I apologize for that.
  5. Actually, she's his wife now. Hey, good for them.
  6. I'm thinking about that. So can I use Brock for one more month?
  7. I agree with Treble; those video scoreboards along the wall at SkyDome just look odd. Pretty good start from Arroyo, though it seems like Toronto fans would rather throw paper airplanes around than watch the game.
  8. I'd like mine to be set to Boulevard of Broken Dreams. I almost changed my theme music to that, actually.
  9. I actually was thinking about putting him up against PK at the next PPV. Brock's still pissed at Killings for what happened at AM and is even more pissed that PK ran him out before Brock could get his hands on him. Makes sense.
  10. Killings was just a way for me to "work the fed" and bring PK back in a surprising way. Thing is.....I kind of made him more interesting than I planned to, and it was fun writing those promos and trailers (I even left little, probably too subtle clues that it was me. Read the one from the beach). I'd like Killings to come back down the road.
  11. Unless anyone wants to start something, I'll probably do another "enhancement talent" match just to unveil the NEW AND IMPROVED~!!! PK. I'd be willing to post shows if no one else is available, since I already can see the Glass Ceiling folder and all. Might take me a few shows to get the witty banter between Triple C down, though.
  12. Don't make fun of my #1 fan, guys. He'll probably have to cancel his plans so he can catch his breath, though.
  13. *Sticks out jaw for a beltshot* *Pulls a Lucy and yanks it out of the way as Axel charges* "AUGGGGGHHHHH!" *WHUMP*
  14. Happy now, Hoff? Oh yeah, the show. Hope no one is mad I took the ME spot, since it was a culmination of a month long plan Calvin and I put together over an AIM chat one night. Yes folks....I was Prince Killings all along. Only two people knew (Calvin and I blabbed it to Adam; Aussie Adam, that is) and I thank Calvin for helping me out and keeping it under wraps. Good promos from Axel and THR to kick off the show, a nicely done tag match (though Caboose calling Zack "Zacky" was a little strange); I loved the "ping pong superkicks" spot at the end. I'm sorry, but I'm starting to tire of PRL being a mixture of every damn WWF main eventer with like 20 finishing moves. Cole just says the same exact thing two different ways. Just say "PRL is setting up for the kill here." and be done with it. Ooooh, Hoff and Crystal feud. AND 70s Dude's going for gold. Cheeky (since the show was in England and all).
  15. Connecticut is the pinstripe-headed bastard stepchild of New England. I mean, it's full of transplanted New Yorkers AND they actually care about college basketball over there. Aliens.
  16. They already did a traditional #1 contender's tournament in February, so it would be nice to have this one be a "Round Robin" where everyone faces each other and earns points (2 for a clean win, 1 for a DQ/countout win, etc.). Outside of that, not much to speak about this week.
  17. I don't have a "true" CF, so I'll be willing to trade either Eddie Plank or Andy Pettitte to anyone who wants a lefty starter.
  18. And a part of Rudo dies inside. Dammit, make the old folks do the rest of the race blindfolded and chained together or something.

  20. What a magnificent start to the world championship defense, guys. Edgar Rentaria is certainly earning that contract.
  21. I think I'll do what NYU did, and just comment on the first few things...because I just can't really fully read the whole show in one sitting. The graphics through the whole thing were just awesome, let me start off with that. Think you could check out my banner request thread in Graphics and Testing Papacita? *bats eyes* Hell's Hitmen vs. Love Doctors - Tony and Jesse are a good alternative commentary team. Good for a "Free For All" opener, as both teams got some offense in and the DQ finish sets up another, longer match in the future. I agree that the opening montage was well done as almost everyone got some words in, and put over the importance of the event to them. I like Tony and Jesse coming back to run down the card. Drek vs. Hoff (1st World Title match) - I have a suggestion: how about putting all these "textual packages" together and posting them the Saturday before AM? They would bring people up to speed who don't really read all the shows much easier. As far as the match goes, NYU already stated my thoughts about the pace and how both men threw everything they had at each other. Seemed a bit short, but it was the opener, so you can't blow your load there. Very well done. Axel vs. Crystal - Good that you guys went the logical route and didn't have Crystal go toe-to-toe with Axel, instead involving Gunner to allow Crystal to get in her shots and work the knee to bring him down to her level, so to speak. Though it would have been better to write a bigger spot to completely disable it. Axel getting pissed off and powering Crystal around, who has to resort to cheating to get the advantage and do a nice counter into the Crystalling. The finish is great, with Crystal's cockiness getting the best of her. Tha Puerto Rican vs. Panther (steel cage) - I'll feedback this once the finish goes up. Prince Killings vs. Brock Ausstin - I have to take a LITTLE credit for Prince, since I brought the character idea up to Calvin over an AIM convo, but he's taken it and ran with it. Prince being a total farce in the ring was a pretty good twist, and Brock's lack of cooperativeness at the beginning was pretty funny. I liked how the photographers' jumping up on the apron at intervals during the match figured into the creative finish with Prince using the camera flash to blind Brock and get the pin. Should be interesting where Prince goes now. New New Midnight Express vs. The Heavenly Rockers - Yeah, using the rackets too much would have been overkill, but I thought the rackets weren't really used enough. Great story during the match with Tiffany getting his injured arm worked over through almost the whole match. Good getting the caged Cornette involved as well. Alfdogg vs. Sandman9000 - Damn, Alf's a resilient little bastard, isn't he? Wild bloodbath, and Caboose's commentary was fun, but it went on much too long for me. The Joy of X - Very, very entertaining match, and the lucha rule actually added something different to the match (K-Money rolling himself out so Rodez can come in, for one). The finish was nicely done with the multiple finisher attempts and getting all four guys involved. Rodez came off great, though Superstar looked really good as well. COD vs. GPX (Tag Titties, er...Titles) - Patty wrote this one, right? You've got a way with words, my friend. Downright Dennis Miller-ian. These two teams hate each other so much, that they won't even sell each other's moves sometimes eh? Now THAT'S hatred. The 70s Dude vs. Calvin Szechstein - I've always wondered something: how the HELL do you pronounce "Szechstein" anyway? Scheck-stein? Shuh-zec-stein? Getting right into the action and carnage was good, based on how the hatred between these two was built up. Some good spots with the guardrail and chair sandwich and the table spot. The Dude came off very strong here. And I agree with NYU again in the "ECW-ish" vibe this match had. Whew, almost done. I'll edit in other thoughts later.

  23. I have two DVDs to relive the 2004 Red Sox season thank you. I might check this one out on DVD along the road. It'll probably be a big date movie. Besides, people over here want to kill Fallon and Barrymore for running onto the field in St. Louis for this anyway. People seriously said that it ruined the moment for them.
