I'm not all that hyped, since there's not that one "must see match" for me that Wrestlemania usually has. I'll do what I've done the last three years: wait for the DVD.

One more homer pick: RF Tony Conigliaro

This might change down the road, but that's their policy now. I'm guessing, but probably having ads on the forums along with the fact that you have to pay to license a board upgrade (which is partly why we haven't done it) allows them to have this free service.

The Beaneaters select 2B Bill Doran

I dunno, we probably have a ton of accounts that haven't been touched in a while again, and the lurkers that signed up once we closed the board to guests. It says we have 2868 members, but probably only a fraction of those are actual regular contributors. We could reopen the new place to guest viewing, and regulary prune inactive accounts (say, ones that haven't posted in a month or two.) And they say there's no cap on the number of members a board can have, which they would have if they did want smaller boards.

They did it!! Wow.....

Well gee, someone FINALLY took Rice. Thought he was going to be held out of this league as well.

Me again. I think we should really think about the Invision Free idea. Here's their FAQ: The banner ads don't bother me in the slightest and we don't really upload much stuff. There is a ToS though, so you should look that over as well.
-
The more I think about it, I think we SHOULD drop the main site if it would save room and money. Frankly, I'm getting a bit tired of analyzing SmackDown each week. RAW is ok, but I haven't been looking forward to switching to SD every other month for a while. It's truly a two man show at TSM, and, though I can't speak for JHawk, I would find another place to post my stuff. It doesn't really matter either way to me. I just hope that, if we close, we give the members a bit of warning and not be like SK when he left Delphi saying "Hey, I'm moving the board to ezBoard, bye!" and then "Hey, we're going to 411 and closing the Smarks, bye!!" Just as a courtesy. Especially the two e-feds, though the SWF seems to be getting their own site set up, and I brought the Invision Free idea up in the OaOast.
-
If it's $50, I think I could be able to throw in $5-maybe $10 a month. I don't have a credit card though, so I'm not sure how I'd get the money over. If dropping the main site will cut it even further, I'd support that, since it's really just me and JHawk doing the regular lifting nowadays, and if there are no plans to build it up, it's just dead weight. It would create more server space to lease out, right? I'm not really privy into how all that works. It'd suck if we have to close shop, but I certainly can understand Dames' predicament. How about doing like NMB and just starting anew with an Invision Free board?

Is WrestleCrap selling comps now or something?
-
I wouldn't be all that surprised, since with all that stuff on it would probably suck up battery life like a mo-fo. And all the stories I read about it said that that was a concern. Invest in a battery pack, or sleep with a Duracell distributor I say.

That sound you hear is the PS2 screeching
KingPK replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Video Games
Here is the website for that Immersion company. Apparently they make force feedback devices for medical training and games, and emphasize the sense of touch in all their products. Has this suit been out there and no one knows about it? I guess they contend that Sony stole their ideas when they developed the Dualshock. -
Let em' settle it in OT. It's not completely irrefutable to overrule.

NY's idea seems to be the most logical way to go. Really, all Caboose is doing is helping Zack in his match. If Caboose is going to be a full-on babyface, might as well make it just Cole and Coach in the booth.
-
Yeah, just have Cole or something mention that Josie (or Bill Watts or something) ordered him to stay at the commentary booth because he was contractually obligated and to make sure he doesn't cause any trouble with Black T before (and after) the match. -= KingPK Still not returning, but full of helpful suggestions.

I keep getting the inkling to dub Andrew the MikeSC of the Games folder for some reason. Dude, they're just video games. Don't give Sony any of your money if you don't like them instead of acting like some GameFAQ board schmuck. Though I do agree that paying $300 for a portable system and $50 a game is completely ludicrous, regardless of how powerful it is. At most, portable systems should only retail for about $150 right out of the gate. The PSP will struggle a bit to start, buoyed by the tech-heads that need every new bit of technology that comes out, and once Sony drops the price (which should be within next summer if they're smart, or even this Christmas), people should be more comfortable plunking down the cash.
