Hmm.....how did this fly under my radar? Yeah, I'd agree that the list is a bit RPG heavy, but RPGs are a genre of games that, if the story and gameplay are solid, are more memorable to the people that play them. I was a bit surprised not to see either Halo crack the top 30 since there seems to be a good following on here for them. I also would have put RE2 in place of the original. The original might have been the grandaddy of "survival horror" games, but the sequel improved upon it in every way that it rendered RE obsolete until the GC remake. Same applies for GTA III being trumped by San Andreas. I pretty much don't have a reason to play III anymore. Play them both back-to-back for an hour and see how much III just doesn't hold up anymore. Much love to Special K for the Monkey Island vote, which should have gotten a few more mentions, people. I might write up my own "unofficial" ballot sometime.

Misconception: The "Tuck Rule" play in the '02 playoffs was the Raiders undoing. They could have stopped the Patriots on that drive (hell, even stopping them five yards further back would have made Vinatieri's tying kick impossible), gone down the field at the end of regulation for a FG (I think there was a minute left after the tying kick, and I think they had the wind at their backs), or not let them drive right down the field in OT. Every Raiders fan I talk to STILL goes on about that play.

I second EmuAsylum as well. You have a 120MB download limit a day, but that's nothing if you only want SNES or Genesis ROMs. Oh, and for WrestleFest, you have to get the Raine emulator, I believe.

Hey Al, can you give me the skinny on Jeremi Gonzalez? He's been pretty okay these last two starts, but I've never really looked into him much. And right after that, a very good debut by Wade Miller. That makes me feel a bit better about a Schilling and Wells-less staff right now.

Mike just took "heated discussion" and turned it into "You're an idiot because you don't agree with my view, which is the right one." I would think that this would be a benefit for CE. Now all the other posters who want to offer opinions on things can debate freely without having to fear Mike stomping in and taking things over (which you have to admit that he had a tendency to do).

But threads in CE when Mike got involved usually ended up with him and one other person going on...and on....and on....and on dissecting each other's posts line by line by line for like two or three pages. That gets fucking tedious to read and completely turned me (and others probably) from posting in there with any regularity.
