Why the hell were the Pats even trying to SIGN him??? They cut Troy Brown to attempt to blow money on a guy they DON'T need?!!?! ARRRRRGGHHHH!!!! I seriously wouldn't be surprised if he comes back with a lower contract. He's gone on record saying that he didn't like pulling double duty with offense and defense, and if he stays on the offense, he'll be a 3rd receiver behind Branch and Givens, so in that scenario, he's not worth the $5 million against the cap that the Pats would have had to pay. The rumors around here is that they are freeing a lot of cap space to not only get their RFA's taken care of, but also give Tom Brady a contract extension, which the Boston Globe said was "close". That would also free up a little more cap as well. The Pats are trying to get younger, and just don't hang on to players that they don't feel fit into their system for long. It might be unfair but hey, they have 3 Super Bowl titles.

Yeah, I'd say that X-Box is outselling PS2 right now, as far as first-time buyers go. PS2 might be selling more games than Microsoft though, sports games and the like. Both consoles have a hot original title out there (PS2 with San Andreas and now GT4 while X-Box is probably still selling Halo 2's out the yin-yang), but PS2 still has the stronger installed base, and still has the bigger library. Gamecube is just staying above the water right now. RE 4 is selling, but you really don't hear of any other 3rd party companies really ramped up at making games for it.

Randy and Jason aren't that bad, but the little skits they do sometimes are just not funny (the erotic cake maker that wants to break the gender barrier of a mini golf course, for one). It also depends on what they riff. Celebrity hosted events, Wide World of Sports and spelling bees are always comedy gold (because of the cheese factor), but doing a single game for the whole show (Stanford-Cal, Gretzky's first game in Edmonton) never really works.

*Does happy dance* 'Bout time they got a new season going, I was getting sick of watching the Superstars and Paul Garvey's celebrity fishing episodes every damn week. Plus, since they have a season under their belt already, the show should be even better. Maybe they should get Mike on board as a writer.

Boston College probably played themselves right out of a #1 seed tonight. Al Skinner is Coach of the Year no doubt, but they might not even reach the finals of the Big East tourney, let alone make noise in the Big Dance.

Yeah, PRL's matches are usually much, much too long and wordy to really read in one sitting. Using all caps to convey excitement is also way too overused.

Yeah, the X-7 match was a simply Angle going on the RAW previous and saying "Hey, I don't have a match for Sunday" and Benoit appearing and saying "Now you do." I mean hey, at least it got them on the show, and they did continue the feud afterwards so I think that can be forgiven.

I'll edit in more feedback later, but here are some quick and dirty thoughts (I haven't been keeping up, so I might be a little hazy on things): - First off, the Crystal turn I was NOT expecting at all, and I had to reread that part two or three times just to make sure I was reading it right. - Kind of a surprise to see such a squash in the first match. I'm guessing the Love Doctors are going "away" for a while? - The 6 person was really fun. I could totally picture James E. pulling that sort of stuff in a real match. - I mark for Drek, that is all. - The PRL/Panther match was a good (but really, really long) match/brawl, but I don't know if I liked the ending with Panther pulling an Artest with the riot and all. - I skimmed the Anderson Cup final, but it looked like good ol' tag team action. - Axel/Cappa didn't really have a complex angle behind it (just simple "I'm better than you and want to prove it" stuff, which always works), and was well done with Cappa looking very strong. Like I said, the Crystal turn was totally out of left field to me because I've always thought she was an uber-face. Should be an interesting twist to things. - Zack/Josie I've only skimmed as well, but the development of that tag team of Rush and Faqu have been written very well (that match with Zack on HD accomplished showing their improvement nicely). - I mark for K.U.R.T. as well. Hope that saves Knight from a stinging if/when he comes back. - Haven't read the X-Title match, although I really liked the one on HD. - Interesting Prince Killings thing. I guess he's some sort of "action star" gimmick? Or are there Russians taking over office buildings in Idaho regularly? Haven't read the rest, excepting the World Title finish (hey, I was curious), so more later.

I went through two complete seasons in MVP '04. I played most of the games, but I usually simmed every third (or fourth) game of a series, and simmed (or played in Manager mode) entire series against teams like the Devil Rays and Blue Jays towards the end. When I clinched the division, I just simmed the rest of the season. That seems to be the best way to go at things. I know some people that would sim entire months (or seasons even, so they can just do the GM stuff)
