Just saw on ESPNNews that he did get suspended for the season.

It's less than $10 in most places, don't know where you can get it free though.

I got a MST3K DVD set from them, and it arrived no problem, though it took the max of the 7-10 day delivery period. Can't really complain, since shipping was free and I saved $15. I'm awaiting when the pre-orders for the new set will start (soon probably, since it comes out in April).

We don't need to hear about your fantasies, Loss. Like I said in the recap, he looks like the love child of Randy Orton and Ken Shamrock. The fact that they couldn't even make another viginette for him and instead played the same one over and over shows how much they put into THIS gimmick. Punking Flair might have been the worst thing to do to debut him, as the fans didn't care about Masters already, and that totally turned everyone off from him even further.

But you'd think he'd pick a jucier tidbit than "I tried marijuana" when during the 60s EVERYONE was on some kind of mind-altering substance. At least have him saying he lusts for his daughters or something. Get people talking more.

Worse. At least Flair & Hogan used the barbed wire as a weapon. Big Show & JBL didn't even do that. Well, by the way the cage looked in the commercials, there really was no logical way for them to use it anyway. Climbing the cage to escape and playing off that would have made no sense (I assume this match was pinfall/submission only?) Pulling the wire off the cage and using it would have possibly worked, but it probably would have been that rubberized stuff, which would be noticed. All in all, putting barbed wire on a regulation cage pretty much was just so WWE can put barbed wire on a regulation cage and call it a new gimmick match. Hell in a Cell would have worked just as well, but A) that match has been overused already and B) It's HHH's match now. Isn't the whole point of a cage match is to keep everyone else out, anyway?

This piece gave me a spark, so I decided to do a piece on the main site analyzing wether or not WWE has recitfied any of the complaints of that article. I know it will just throw Tim's thread even more off-topic, and I'm sorry for that, but check it out.

Great read. Thanks a bunch HTQ. This seems to have been orignally written in late 2001-early 2002 (it mentions the failure of the Invasion, and the SD after 9/11), and if Meltzer asked the same question today, he'd probably get almost the exact same complaints. Someone should send it to WWE, but (like they probably did when this first came out and like WCW did with their own study) they'd probably ignore it because it came from the internet. It's just AMAZING how WWE can fuck up things that are RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR FACES!!! I think I just got a column idea.

If there was one thing MTV did well, it was the Rock N' Jock games. The softball and basketball ones especially (I never really liked the football ones). I mean these aren't highly trained athletes and this isn't serious, so jazz it up a bit.

Just wanted to link to this thread, which has an interview with Dave Meltzer on a Boston sports radio station talking about steroids and HGH. It's pretty interesting, actually.

It's Meltzer talking about steroids and Canseco's book. He mentions how they have affected wrestling. I'm moving it to Gen. Wrestling, since it's kind of general.
