I usually watch the first hour of ESPN's before switching to CBS at noon. The guys on FOX are just too annyoing and they do a bunch of crappy skits instead of analyzing the games. I would pick CBS as the best only because Tom Jackson is a moron (do the Pats still "hate their coach?") and Michael Irvin took his broadcasting tips from Stephen A. Smith (read: yelling at everyone).

At least he isn't posting about the new Zelda game in here.

Here in Mass, which usually is immune (as far as I know) from these really high prices (the home heating oil is what's usually outrageous), every station I've seen is hovering around the $2.00/gallon mark. And the price shot up FAST; I filled up about a week ago, and it was around $1.84/gallon. I went today, and it was $2.01/gallon. That's a pretty big jump for just a week. I remember in '97(?) when the prices were .87/gallon. In JUNE.

They should go back to trading players for bags of baseballs and bats again. That's always a nice ego boost to the player.

In my case, there really isn't much you can do to analyze a match when it's all of 3 minutes (like every match on this week's SD outside of the main). I really struggled to figure out what the hell to say about those matches, and whether or not to give a rating at all, since they seemed so damn pointless (Chavo-Jackie and Cena-Basham, as examples). I know I overrated the main event, but I was just happy to see a damn match go longer than 5 minutes and have the participants actually show some effort. IMO, a recap should be more about telling the reader what happened if he/she missed the show while trying to give SOME analysis for those that did. If you are doing a PPV or show that everyone knows about, then yeah, keep the PBP to a minimum and break the match down and give some good analysis. Problem with that is, I'm not sure that many people can break down and analyze as well as Coey, so it's kind of tough to emulate what he does since I KNOW he is much more knowledgeable than me at this stuff. EDIT: And Will, you realize getting duped isn't totally the WRITER'S fault, right? You made the decision yourself to base your purchases on his opinions, not him.

I wouldn't have spent $1000 to get there, but I would have liked to attend something like that. I enjoy orchestral arrangements. I would assume it should either be out on CD or a music DVD in a few months. Game sountracks are becoming a bigger buisness than what they were 5 years ago, you know.

It means "to drive something into the ground." Some examples are spiking a football, a railroad spike, and your credibility (which I have just done).

The No Mercy match was dull as hell, and the finish was ripped from Taker-HHH at Wrestlemania X-7 (Booker does the "10 punch in the corner" thing, but Taker just hooks Booker's tights and hits the Last Ride.) And there was no Mordecai promo. It's not like that would have IMPROVED the show any.

If there's anything Canadians can do well, it's throwing each other around in the ring. I don't know if the ring was miked or anything, but some of those impacts sounded pretty loud.
