I honestly don't remember any of these matches, so I can't say they weren't good, but the fact that I can't remember them kind of speaks for itself. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think the Benoit/Hardy US Title match was the 1 where Hardy busted his nose & was bleeding up a storm. Rey/Hardy & Hardy/Benoit US Title were both pretty damn good. I liked Rey/Hardy a little better. I believe Rey/Hardy ME'ed that SD in San Diego, and the match did a pretty good TV rating, something like a 4.5.

Who's going to care if Randy RKO's his pops? Especially after a 1-time screw up? As for the Orton hate, and maybe I'm just speaking for myself here, but the guy is just a white bread generic dude. Nothing really stands out about him, except for being a pretty-boy, he's average on the mic, and he's just average in the ring. Normally, that would just lend himself to the realm of apathy, but when you add in the fact that they've been pushing him hard for close to 2 years (despite it not being warranted for most of that time), that's where people start hating on him.

Marino only went to 1 SB, losing to a 49ers team that went 15-1 in the reg. season. And, yeah, it's tough to win it all w/ no run game and average-at-best defenses.

Simon Dean's been doing the "push-ups" spot since last year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This time he did it w/ his hands on his opponent's chest while the ref was making a count. All previous times he was just doing push-ups on the mat while trash talking.

Simon Dean continues to bring the awesome. On internet Velocity this week, he has his opponent in a front chancery (sp?) on the mat, then adds some knees to the head. Then, after hitting the curb stomp, he covers his opponent by doing push-ups on his opponent's chest as the ref makes the count. I know it's a cheesy cartoon gimmick, but the guy's making it work like a champ.
