Benoit is 'just a transitional champion'...
Spaceman Spiff replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in The WWE Folder
It's been well documented several tims over thta Jericho ahs been the one booking the Trish storyline. So if anyone has made him look like a bitch in that situation, it's Chris Jerico. I'm pretty sure that Jericho hasn't been booking it for a while now. -
One and Only Smackdown Thread For 3/18/04

Here's what I got out of Haas/Benjamin: You had 2 guys, teammates, having to face each other for the 1st time (IIRC). Both are a bit tentative and not sure what to expect out of the other, so they revert to their amateur backgrounds to feel out the other. Haas tries to keep it pretty staright-forward, however Benjamin starts getting all cocky. Haas decides to ditch the amateur stuff and they switch to the pro style. Haas gains control, but Benjamin is able to connect w/ the Dragon Whip to get the surprise win (notice Haas's "huh, you got me this time" look). I thought it worked pretty well, even if the mat stuff went on a bit too long. I don't get the "didn't go anywhere" sentiment on the mat sequences. Sure, it didn't directly lead to the finish, but it told the story of 2 friends forced to face each other, and each is unsure how the other would react. Hopefully, they don't split these 2 up between Raw & SD, as they could use this match to build a feud between them. -

"Feed me." Just, um, imagine that Benoit's picture is in there, too. -

Even APA vs. Rikishi/S2H? Everything from Gauntlet start to the end of the show was fantastic. SD smoked Raw this week. -

Fuck that shit. -
whoa EDIT: Here's the playlist for my dirty language edition of SWORDFISHTROMBONES tonight. It'll be on at 11pm, EST, here. See if you can track down Pearl Jam's "Insane" (also titled "Ramblings III"). Lyrics: Here's an mp3 of it (the brackets in the link screw up linking it, so just copy the address from below): http://www.theskyiscrape.com/song_menu/mp3s/Ramblings3[11-05-93].mp3

Because it still might be fake. We got snow this week (I'm in the Philly area), and it bugs me when people don't clean off all the snow from their cars. they'll clean off the windshield and back window, and leave the rest of the snow there. Especially when I'm behind them and have to deal w/ snow flying off the top onto my windshield.

The Dr. Jho procedure will probably be more common for guys like Tazz & Bill DeMott - guys whose ring days are done, but still need neck work. Or, for guys who don't take a lot of risky/heavy bumps. It might work for guys who primarily brawl, but Angle was still taking suplexes, big bumps, chairshots.

Preposterous. 1) Vince would probably have to pay Brock a decent amount, so why do that just to embarrass him? Plus, Brock would be a big name, so it'd just be insanely stupid on Vince's part to do that. 2) If Vince *was* that dumb, Brock would just a) not come back, or b) leave again.

What's up w/ Rikishi/S2H winning all their matches w/ crescent kicks and Samoan Drops?
-
Ah, so "Neanderthals were humans w/ abnormal bone growth due to very advanced age and Flood-cloud-related rickets." Silly me.
-
Well, isn't that wonderful. Hey, I bet Rob Feinstein has an idea now...
-
But you couldn't see me.
-
No, no, no. If you put those hands in front of your face, then people can't see your face. "You can't see me." See?
-
Constitutional Amendment! Preserve the sanctity of our driving experiences. Seriously, though, I can't see Bush cracking the whip on the oil companies.
-
Boy, is your face red.

Why not attack Noth Korea? Why not attack Saudi Arabia, where most 911 terrorists were from?.... Again, you opposed action in Iraq. Why in the world would you SUPPORT action in N. Korea or Arabia? You wouldn't. It's a red herring. -=Mike Communism was just a red herring. Sorry, I try to work a "Clue" quote whenever I can... Awesome.
-
See, that's the beauty of it - Bush makes money from the oil companies off high gas prices, plus he gets more oil from Iraq, which he can sell for big $$$. It's win-win! (yes, that was sarcastic)

So, uh, you use them a lot?

WWE sure knows how to run a business
Spaceman Spiff replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
That's different. Those changes impact the company's bottom line, and prematurely leaking info could hurt the company. How does leaking news about a roster reshuffling hurt the WWE? Is the WWE going to lose millions of dollars because the 'net knows about it 8 hours before the show? -

You don't reward people for failing. But I didn't call for them to get pushed to the moon. I merely said "singles action". Let them work as singles, and see if something clicks. If either picks up some steam, then they can get a push. Doug had a good match w/ Shannon Moore on Velocity back before getting called up (early last year?), and generated some good heel heat for an unknown guy (at the time), so he has shown promise. Besides, you of all people should know to give some guys time to develop. You crapped all over Brock when he debuted ("boring and heatless"), but he developed into a hell of a worker, and now you love him (as do I). Who's to say either Basham doesn't develop into a player? -
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Best. Velocity. Ever. Or, at least since Knoble/London from a few weeks ago. And I see Orlando is back to beating buy-out guys for no discernible reason.
