SNL Review (Yes I know it's 2 weeks late)
Spaceman Spiff replied to bob_barron's topic in Television & Film
Fred staring into the camera early in the Gigli skit was awesome. But it did give the line "Or maybe when ::crosses fingers:: Matt comes around." And I'm pretty sure the Bangkok ads are parodying the "what goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas" ads. Great show overall. Say what you will about Ben's acting career, but he makes a great SNL host, and isn't afraid to make fun of himself. -
Really. He's barely capable as a *pro* wrestler.

What to expect from the new RAW and SD talent
Spaceman Spiff replied to JoeDirt's topic in The WWE Folder
Way to build up your new heel - feed him to Taker. Hopefully, after Raw, those plans get dumped. Otherwise, why wouldn't they just move Haas to Raw and use TWGTT as the top team in the division before splitting them up? You know it's coming, but it's still depressing to see. -

Am I the only one who prefers the Futurama commentaries to the Simpsons commentaries? The Futurama guys just sound like they're having a blast, while it just sounds like something is missing with the Simpsons guys.
-
Airplane. Youd think with the movies these guys did, the commentary would be hilarious. Sadly, it's just so, so boring.

I *never* had the glitch pop up on my cart, and I used my CAW almost exclusively. -
Hell, go back to when she was in "Byrds of Paradise", which was before she did "Party of 5". She was big back then.

I think we all shat all over the Cat (RHYME~!) when those promos ran.

Remind me again which party is pushing for a Constitutional Amendment to ban same-sex marriage...

Or, as we call it in Philly, Snider-Clarke Syndrome.
-
Someone on CRZ's board mentioned they should call him "JB Layfield", which sounds way more business-like than John Bradshaw, or whatever they're calling him now.

1) Funny name for a girl 2) She got from NYC to San Fran in under 15 minutes?
-
The girl's got a relative living in San Fran, and the 2 of them planned the entire thing.

The most shocking news in the history of WWE...
Spaceman Spiff replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
Shane is the WORST McMahon. He personally ruined Kane's push. Come to think of it, maybe Shane isn't that bad, after all... If I told you that the Vince vs. Steph match was Shane's idea, would that change your mind? Nah. I've never watched the match. -

I wouldn't put Austin in the "stolen" group. He was pretty much there just to bide his time between his WCW firing and an eventual WWF hiring. The Steiners shouldn't even be mentioned on that list, considering they were WCW mainstays for a long time, plus had done a tour of duty w/ the WWF. Besides, they only had a handful of ECW matches, so I wouldn't even consider them "ECW". Benoit, Malenko, Eddy, Rey - those guys are iffy. All had worldwide experience, so they were probably just there in hopes of snagging jobs on WCW or WWF. They weren't really "homegrown" ECW guys, but, yeah, I'd lean towards "stolen". Dudz - yep. Raven should be on the list. Even though he had experience in both WCW and WWF, he created a completely new character, so I'd put him in the "stolen" category.

Just like Luke Skywalker!

Chuck superkick > all others that came before it C'mon, "(so and so) just...got...whacked!" is so much better than HBK stomping his foot in the corner.
-
I think that proves what everyone pretty much knew already: Chuck Palumbo > everyone else on the roster
-
Wow, with a roster like that, they can't help but bring in the 10.0 ratings...
-
They probably couldn't compete w/ the likes of 1-stop stores like Wal-Mart and Target, or electronics stores like Best Buy and Circuit City. Get rid of those parts of your business, and concentrate on what you think you can do best.
