It sounds like they lost one purchase split amongst 5 people. I don't think they traditionally expect many buys for the NWO PPV anyway... this year, it's just 3 weeks after the Rumble (which is a big seller) and 6 weeks before Mania (the biggest seller). NWO needs to have an interesting enough card that some people will buy, but not good enough that so many will buy that they'll decide against spending the bigger money on Mania.

That match sounds good. Wonder why they're wasting it on a Raw that's not airing in the US on Monday. Maybe I answered my own question. God, I remember how hyped I was in 1999 for the big SkyDome Raw that wasn't airing in the States until Saturday. Us Canadians were pumped to watch the biggest Raw in history days before the Americans! We got Steve Blackman vs The Rock and Vince pinning Austin in a stupid gauntlet.

Of course you did, it's on this page. 10 posts up. I understand where the negativity about the match being canceled is coming from, and like I said, I did want to see it, but it's not certainly something I'd get pissed over. Matt, you had your ticket to the show before the thing was announced. Taker666, you didn't even pay for your ticket. D&D vs Londrick was the original plan anyway (I gather from Meltzer's update) and it makes more sense.

Posts on an internet forums with heavy wrestling emphasis, cited news he read that was from the Observer, but has no clue who Dave Meltzer is... Gimmick poster? The "I'm crazy, hate corporate schilling, have issues with HTQ, and don't know who Meltzer is" is not the worst gimmick we've had here.

To recap: Crazy was told he couldn't do something, had his 'threads' removed, and was then 'blocked'. Crazy, were you attempting met?

He's totally! He's crazy! He's TOTALLY CRAZY (especially if you advertise things!). k thx beat me to the "No, he's crazy" exchange.

"whipping out the midget" sounds funny. I don't know... I just figure making him act like a baby who lays down on the job would be new punishment.

Carlito vs Flair, Carlito just lies down in the ring and then walks away. His new character becomes a lazy bum who doesn't want to sports entertain anymore.

Hope luke-o doesn't see you call Jimmy Yang a bad part of SmackDown, he'll start ranting and swearing for no reason. But then again, you're totally crazy. Don't be puttin down Lil Bastard. He only costs $500,000 a week and sometimes gets foreign object points!

At one house show, somebody had a sign with Test and a needle, and it said something like "The best body chemicals can buy." Not just somebody, WWE sign guy! Thus it was cool and Test laughed (I know you know this since we read it in the same Observer, but I felt like pointing it out to the public). I read that same thing on a site. Did you read about 'I hope you got talent for Christmas?' Yes, it was in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter - Order Today! WWE.com's "Sidesplitters" video of the week (you know, in their new broadband section) is Mr. Perfect hitting home runs. I would have much preferred catching his own football pass, but good all the same. They advertised next week's video as being John Cena putting down Christian and Tomko in a freestyle (I believe the one where he said Gangrel was sucking blood and Christian was sucking something else).

How dare WWE use storyline logic and cancel a match that was a rematch of a match from just two months ago that seriously injured a wrestler. How dare they cancel the match a month before (probably) pushing a 6 man ladder match as a big attraction for their biggest event of the year. How dare they remove a match because it would involve teams that they're not supposed to be keeping together and thus has no continuity sense. Yes, clearly WWE is the enemy here, and not the bloodthirsty internet minions.

WHY THE LADDER MATCH WAS PULLED FROM NO WAY OUT by Mike Johnson @ 2:32:00 PM on 2/12/2007 For those of you who are wondering why WWE yanked the four way ladder match from the No Way Out PPV, the reason is that Vince McMahon decided over the weekend that (as of right now, since they keep going back and forth on this) The Hardy Boyz and MNM will no longer be teaming. Matt Hardy, Joey Mercury, Jeff Hardy and Johnny Nitro will be going back to singles roles on their respective brands. With that decision made, the feeling was that having the Four Way ladder match at the No Way Out PPV was meaningless, so they've switched gears to allow Deuce and Domino to challenge WWE Tag Team champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick instead. Stephanie McMahon made the call to change the match. WWE has gone back and forth on whether to keep the teams together or not, so this is just the latest in that trend.

We ARE the same fanbase that made a stink about the overuse of ladder matches between 2000 and 2003, right? Doing a rematch of a match from 2 months ago and a little over oen month from your big annual 6 man ladder spotfest is too much. I approve of this change for that reason. However, it would have been a good match and it's removal from the card (which combined with the tag team main event made it a "I must see this!" event) has pretty much guaranteed I won't try very hard to split the cost of the show with a friend just 3 weeks after the Rumble.

Oh, yeah - the singles theme for Henry Godwinn (heard during IYH 2) is bad, but I know it's what's supposed to be there. I'm referring to the overdub they use to cover up The Godwinns / Hillbilly Jim's theme.

Canada too, usual 10pm time.

Damnit J-Ho, I was hoping Fantasy players would not be reminded of the match being pulled and be stuck with Taylor and Regal on their teams. I have an all SmackDown team except for Cena and HBK, who will be at the PPV anyway.
-
It's not a bait and switch if they announce several days before the show that it's a switch. Bait and bait! Bait and bait!
-
I thought that song sounded a bit familiar when I was watching IYH 2.
-
Nitro on 24/7 seems to have a lot of correct theme songs, which is odd considering the same songs have been removed from DVD (Benoit's theme, for example). It's just one of those wacky rights issues I don't get (along with Ventura commentary). The best is when, because of how the sound is mixed, redubbed WCW music loses Gary Michael Cappetta. They had a sound alike doing announcing for Halloween Havoc 92, and outside of this enunciation, sounded nothing like him. Sometimes I find the generic stuff they come up to be pretty good (the ECW song, the Coliseum Video "5000 years" song), but good lord is the Godwin music awful.

I never thought the 4 way match this month was a good idea to begin with. They just had it in December, and you would assume there is a Money in the Bank match at Mania. Don't oversaturate the gimmick.
-
Yeah I figured / assumed that was coming since Cyber Sunday (best part: Shawn kicking the guy with all the papers backstage) expires this week. Whenever Survivor Series 06 expires, that's probably when we can all rock out to DECEMBER TO DISMEMBER!
-
So, anyone going to chime in with a bad pun about how Andrew Martin failed a test?
-
Somewhere in that battle I made a serious suggestion. But hey, at least it was publicized that "Queen Leelee = Princess Leena" so I won't get mixed up with that name change.
