I read that Ventura wasn't even on the Hogan/Warrior match on the Warrior DVD, so I assume he won't be on this.

I changed my roster a few times today but for some reason decided to make some budget women picks. I know Stacy has a match on SmackDown! so I picked her, then because anyone that cost $2.5M will probably only appear on the no longer point worthy B-shows, I picked Mickie James and Candice. Also picked The Ortons, HBK, Angle, Edge, Heidenreich, and either Mercury or Nitro, I don't recall. I'll see how this pans out.

It is speculated that Nintendo Pennant Chase was cancelled after it's indefinite delay. That kinda bummed me out because although I haven't really played (or at least been in to) a baseball game since Ken Griffey (the original, not the Winning Run stuff) for the SNES, I really wanted to create a stadium.

Well Kane just scored like 1,000 points for me, so I should do OK. It was too bad Kurt didn't have a match, but 7 points is 7 points (I think.. 2 appearance + 1 finisher). Edge lost but still had 3 appearances, 2 matches, finisher, last match, and specialty match points, so that should work out. I assume Edge was in BR, anyway. I thought I saw him when it started but he was gone after the commercial. My other Raw guy was HBK and he won his match with a finisher (not sure what Fantasy's ruling on kicking a foriegn object into your opponent is... hopefully it counts for points). For SmackDown, hopefully more appearance points for Edge and a win for Randy Orton. I took the cowards way out for the Benoit/Booker match and picked them both, so some guaranteed points there. Should end up being a good week for me.

I'm trading Cena in for HBK before the deadline runs out... WWE.com has a Pre-Raw photo of Shawn standing with a ladder on the Raw stage. This probably means nothing, but may also mean specialty match participation points (assuming he loses to Angle, who I already have and almost never drop, in a #1 Contender LAdder Match). Probably nothing though... but he is in his gear so he should at least have a match. Tajiri is just sitting in the arena using a cell phone!

Yes and no... last year most of my picks only did the main show anyway, but the idea was always "Well if I don't see them on Raw at least they wrestled on Heat". Even today I almost picked Snitsky, then I thought "Well... he might just be doing Heat... and that's worth nothing" so I went with someone else.

Someone is posting an "Ultimate Vader Collection" series on PWtorrents. I noticed during his Halloween Havoc 92 match that two icons of wrestling, Vladimir the Superfan and Hat Guy, were sitting with each other and yelling at Vader. Hat Guy was with the older looking guy whose gimmick I can't remember, but he was in regular clothes. I didn't realize Vlad was at WCW shows in the early 90s (I recognize him more as a Fed superfan and I guess ECW since he made his big return at ONS this year) nor did I know that the Hat Guy gimmick started his run as a fan at a WCW show.

Awesome interview. You really get a sense that Batista loves the business and is a fan, albeit of WWE style matches and seemingly doesn't care for AJ Styles. He may not be the best worker but you can tell he's trying and looks for help. He's critical of his own crappy matches with JBL, which is nice and refreshing to hear. Normally wrestlers wait years before looking back on a crappy feud... not 2 months, especially when both are still employed in the company. Good stuff.

According to someone that worked on the game (see above for the link to that thread), Capcom is not embarassed of SF1 at all. If that is true I do wonder why it's excluded from everything.

Wonder what the world of Street Fighter would have been like if they made Zangief to be a collegiate wrestler, Ken to be a fat martial artist, Ryu to be a total rip-off of whatever the main character in Fist of the Northstar is named, Vega was some crazy ass knight with Blanka's hairstyle, and kept the character that looked like Kamala with an afro.

I made a grand total of one CAW last year (me) so 30 is fine for me. Even if I go back to my 2001 ways and make a whole bunch, I won't devote anywhere near the time for 30.

It's not like this is a surprise or something we don't know about. Joey Styles is under WWE contract for a 2nd show (and 24/7 ECW stuff, I believe) and it has been mentioned even prior to the first show that they would be doing a second one. It will be interesting to see what they do without Rhino, Dudleyz, and whoever else signs with TNA / gets pissed off at WWE's trademark game by June 2006.

I think it's great that the Japanese had no problems with a game about having one (or two) American pilots of planes that are somehow 100x smaller than some of the Japanese fleet become war heroes. If a similar game was released with the roles reversed, I can't see the USA accepting it. Where is some of that Street Fighter art in CCC from? Specifically, the Super Street Fighter II "Vacation" picture where Bison is parasailing and the picture where Bison is relaxing in his mansion with his hat off while a girl in a bathing suit wears it.
