Monday Night RAW isn't the only WWE show that is moving. Starting next weekend, both HEAT and Velocity will now be available to watch on WWE.com. The VOD-style programs available to residents of the United States will still feature the same great original matches. In addition, however, each show will also have unique content never before seen on the program. So be sure to log onto WWE.com next Friday afternoon to watch the inaugural edition of HEAT on the Internet. Then watch Velocity on Saturday morning, starting at 10 a.m. ET.

Since I'll actually get points for week 1 and hopefully remember to set up a roster before going on vacation in November (two things that kicked my ass in Season 4, notably with my vacation falling on the day I needed to finalize the Vengeance roster). I was hoping for a longer break and being able to watch TV without hoping Chris Masters showed up, but eh, whatever.

Joy's toss into the air caught into a diamond cutter is pretty awesome... not sure why she has it though.

I was watching WM21 on DVD tonight and yeah, Masters was wearing similar tights back at that time. Similar in that they were not red (red tights being what I associated him with as well as his DoR2 model) but they were black and I imagine that prior to WM he may have had blue tights. Not a huge deal or anything though, it just caught me a bit off guard. He also might be considered high enough on the card to warrant alternate attire... but again, it's not THAT big a deal to me.

Since when does Masters wear blue/purple tights?

Homosexual American... lol. Not laugh out loud funny for me (until the gay exchange with Kenny) but I enjoy Mr. Lee and this has been fine to watch. Looking forward to funnier episodes in the future.

What do you do when you get mad at a video game?
DrVenkman PhD replied to Epic Reine's topic in Video Games
I remember one time I was playing a racing game back in 1992 and the computer totally cheated and drove a truck in the middle of the track. Wait, that wasn't me, that was that damn Bob cheating the User out of a victory on an episode of ReBoot. I often watched that show and imagined how pissed I'd be if the computer pulled those stunts with me. I tend to hit my mattress really hard when I am losing a big match in a wrestling game by means I do not care for. -
Family Guy and American Dad for 8/18
DrVenkman PhD replied to Conspiracy_Victim's topic in Television & Film
I forgot to rewind my old style VHS casette when I set my VCR and left my house to watch the PPV. I returned home to find 15 or so minutes of King of the Hill tapes and nothing else (I don't even know how Hank and friends got back in their boat!). Simpsons (yeah yeah...) and FG have their own newsgroups so it was easy enough to find and watch those. The episodes seemed to be a big parade of minor characters (even Peter's dad was there!) though I currently think the vaudville guys could show up in every episode and I would be entertained by the piano tune. Stewie's "someone will have to explain this to me" closer was a good line. -
Let me know if and when IGN ever bothers to confirm "Legends Cage" as the blue bars.

Video Game series that went on way too long

This thread about wanting to kill some of my favourite game series makes me sad.... Are they done making Tony Hawk games? -
Will Matt lose his heat by going to Smackdown?
DrVenkman PhD replied to AmazingRen's topic in The WWE Folder
Question: In the OAO Raw thread, someone (forget who) mentioned three predictions for Vince's announcement, the 3rd prediction being Matt going to SD!, and said all 3 announcements would suck because they're already "well known". Where did the Matt news come from? It wasn't in the Observer but as I watched Raw, there it was, the announcement of a match that will almost certainly send Matt to SmackDown. -
You know what was dumb? Why didn't Bischoff knock Cena out when he was holding the title over him? But yes Bischoff may refuse to acknowledge Cena as champion because he's the boss... so I guess Vince would come out and say Cena is the champion. Yes kids, the big announcement is that John Cena is the WWE champion.

If Time Travelling Billy Graham got released from his job in the WWE... then.. wait... history is not right!

Announcing the move to USA makes the least amount of sense. It's already heavily advertised on WWE.com. On top of that, since other possible predictions are also mentioned online (the 14 other guys that are appearing on Raw that night), they ran a commercial for Raw on the USA network last night during Unforgiven, promoting the 3 hour event. That's not to say the announcement won't be a reminder of this.. but that's all it would be. It would be the announcement of Raw oging to USA, since everyone already knows, just a reminder.

I'm going with title vacancy on this one (or no vacant title, but still Angle/Cena rematch). Keep in mind though that Taboo Tuesday is in November this year so I think any Cena/Angle rematch will be happneing on 10/3. Another rematch might happen at TT, maybe Angle wins the title on USA and then the fans pick Cena for the title match... or a redo of the "Bischoff is fired in 30 days / right now because he is doing a poor job / being unfair to Cena" which will result in Bsichoff trying to get HHH to come back for October 3rd... or something not important.

JLU Season 3 starts September 17th

As usual the sexual innuendo is hilarious and awesome. Hooray for cartoons I enjoy at my age! -
Whenever you notice something like that... a wizard did it.

Not AS similar as I recalled, but seeing the Suspiria DVD in someone's sig kept making me think of the Unforgiven 2004 poster/DVD cover.
-
I know you mean well, but that description actually made me want to play less... Edit: Because I misread it as "War Gods". I'll check it out.

I had fun at the show. The reaction to Jarrett winning was a "Damnit... wait... wait.. they just changed the NWA title... in Windsor... WHAT THE HELL? AWESOME!". It was very neat seeing Mike Tenay do ring intros and thank us for being a test market for TNA house shows while Jeremy Borash ran around filming things. It was a neat thing to be there for but I hope Jarrett is a long term plan of theirs.

The Next Diva Posing Naked in Playboy is...
DrVenkman PhD replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Ah.. I had read "figured" in the wrong context. My mistake! -
I found that trailer on my own too so I guess I am a super journalist like Dave Scherer. The first odd thing I noticed was HHH wearing the Federation title (1998-2001 edition). I found "Bad business moves.. and bad relationships... *Warrior goes ARGHARGHARGHARGH*" amusing.

She's been around since 2004 which is almost old under current WWE Diva cycling. -

Ok, what the hell. I jsut got my Sept 12th Observer TODAY. I thought these things came out on Thursday at the very earliest. In regards to the actual story, as the late George Harrison once said, "It's been done". -
Sony Recalls PS2 A-C Adaptors September 13, 2005 Sony Computer Entertainment America has issued a worldwide recall of 3.6 million A-C adapters for the Playstation 2. The accessories were sold with its PS2 systems between October 2004 and August 2005. Sony says it has received 38 reports in the U.S. of adapters overheating, 19 of which melted. There have also been two reports of minor burns and one report of a minor shock. The recall applies to some 843,000 systems in the U.S. alone. Sony will replace the A-C adaptors for free. I got this from a local station's website and they persumably got it from the AP.
