Actually they now charge you $2 to have it verified but refund the money.

Of note, it will be 2 more weeks until there is a new episode - Episode II is on tonight and NASCAR racing is on next Sunday.

HHH returns and beats up Edge and Batista moments after Edge hits Batista with the briefcase and spears him. This pisses Edge off since he has more proof he should already be World Champion. Of note, they mentioned on TV this morning that Raw was the highest rated episode in a year. That seems like an odd thing to say especially on a WWE Experience. Since no one watches that show (and even I was just channel flipping) I'm sure it means nothing but it would be interesting if it became part of HHH's angle. Can't see Trips agreeing to a "I'm back on Raw now because I'm a jealous heel that's pissed Raw did a better rating with me gone" angle though.

From V-Lo reports I read it sounded like the match was confirmed (or at the very least referenced / built to) last night but still nothing on WWE.com It's very sad that I was looking forward to this PPV a few weeks ago thinking it had 4 winning matches in the CW and Tag title matches, Angle/Booker, and Eddie/Rey. I also think there's the outside chance JBL/Cena could be a good brawl with weapons and such but that remains to be seen. Anyway, since the Angle/Sharmell angle, I've just really lost interest in this show and wondered if I should even bother going out tonight. Hopefully Eddie/Rey makes me happy and Angle/Booker is still a good match regardless of the awful angle it now has going for it... Kurt being pissed off at losing his chance for a title match was good enough.

It is implied at the movie's end (and mentioned earlier in this long thread in regards to original rumours of episodes VII-IX) that R2-D2 never suffers from a memory wipe and knows every event from the saga. -

Some interesting (if true) notes from IMDB about the movie - Originally, a young Han Solo was going to make an appearance in the film, living among the Wookies on Kashyyyk. - There are over 2,200 special effects shots in this film, more than Episode I and II combined. Star Wars (1977) only had 350 such shots. - George Lucas played a prank on Christopher Lee, where a puppet of Master Yoda was placed on set, complete with fangs or vampire teeth. - George Lucas allowed his friend Steven Spielberg to design some of the action sequences, including Yoda's duel with Darth Sidious, and Obi-Wan's fight with General Grievous. Spielberg also consulted on other scenes, such as the climactic battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin. -

If you're looking for an actual reason it might just be the fashion choice for hiding cybernetic appendages or perhaps is a significant colour to represent this... but the real answer is most likely that it looks cool. -
Sent another 3.50 Canadian to put me up to $6 Canadian (no skin off my back, I enjoy this forum for the most part, and part of that was money I had lying in PayPal from when I had to pay $2.50 to verify my account 5 months ago). That will also take care of that pesky .50 in the total.

Skip this if you're in this thread without having watched the movie yet, please. I'm just remembering now how awesome the camo soldiers looked on the Wookie planet... reminded me of Master Chief. So we're all clear on the "you shouldn't be here if you haven't watched it yet rule"? Good... I'm all up for evil antics in movies but damn if, even off screen, Anakin and the younglings was one of those "damn, I can't believe Lucas went there in a Star Wars film" moments. Where was Lumpy? Based on EU material, can someone fill me in on the fate of the Wookies or how Chewie ended up with Han Solo? The movie seemingly implies that only the one whose name I don't remember off hand and Chewbaca survived Order 66. General Grevious and the 4 lightsabers was an awesome, awesome visual but seemed a bit wasted... granted, there's only so much you can do when it's 4 vs. 1 without having the 4 win. Did anyone else make the tired and cliche joke, either out loud or in your head, "We can rebuild him. We have the technology" for Vader? Was that battle between Obi and Vader awesome or what? Good battle, awesome setting, and the fans go go happy with the face going over while the heel is set up for the biggest gimmick change in the history of the far away galaxy and will get all his heat back in the rematch. I apologize for turning that above description into wrestlign terms, unless you like that sort of thing (many do, it seems - myself included) -
Consider the funds $2.50 (Canadian, as per left-over money in my PayPal account) richer, good sirs.

Obi-Wan's R-Unit getting assaulted being met with Obi-Wan giving a 3P0 like "Oh my" got a chuckle from me. R2 also continued being awesome... you just can't get tired of that robotic yell. -

So I saw the movie (and didn't have to pay since it was my birthday and friends are cool like that) and I have to say that this thread really hyped me up for something I didn't think was as awesome as I had hoped... or maybe it was. It was a lot of movie to digest and I left satisfied, but I left Eps I and II satisified as well. Either way I am positive that I did enjoy this film and would recommend it. The "nooo" was not as bad as y'all had me thinking. I had actually told my friends to look out for the word "no" spoken in a away that was not meant to be funny would many people thought was hilarious. I didn't tell them what character I read said the line so they thought the line being refered to was Palpatine's string of no's in his struggle with Mace Windu -
I didn't realize Nikolai Volkoff had such an interesting backstory until watching the HOF Of course it seemed kinda "edited", noting he retired with dignity was a proud American good guy in the early 90s, ignoring the fact he wrestled as a poor heel who wore the "cents" sign on his tights in 1995.

"Bad guys use red, good guys use blue, that's just the way it is" was what Lucas told Jackson before he got his wish for the distinct purple sabre. I'm of the understanding the lightsabre is green in Jedi because of the outdoor battle scenes' blue sky making it hard to see the blue one. -

I've always liked Jedi. I have no beef with Ewoks (the E-e-e-e-e-e Ewoks, the spirts of the forrest moon) and it brings everything to a happy close. Plus the green light sabre kicks ass. I didn't care much for The Blogger Ranter Whose Name Is Not To Be Spoken Here's review of Episode I stating that it's actually a better film than ROTJ, but everyone has the right to an opinion (even if it's wrong). Though I do admit that 6 years after the fact, removed from the hype of being the movie people were waiting 16 years for, it's clealry not the worst thing ever. -

Edge vs Angle vs Benoit vs Eddie is very good and I'm glad that's on DVD, ditto with Angle vs Benoit vs Rey. However, based on memory, my favourite non-No MErcy 2002 match would be the SmackDown match between Eddie and Edge. WWE Jukebox better post that match soon.

That's what they said about Episode I... I see where you're coming from and it certainly sounds like this is, for Star Wars fans anyway, the best SW film in the past 25 years, but there's some lingering doubt hanging around. Search your feelings, you know it to be true. -

God damnit my friend just called (and interupted my HOF viewing... pretty good, btw) to remind me he has some sort of work training tomorrow and the earliest we could go with everyone is Saturday. This leaves me in a bind... do I go tomorrow anyway assuming I'll want to see it again with friends on Saturday or just wait it out? I did the former with Spider-Man (and a similar deal with Spider-Man 2 where me and another friend saw it at the previously mentioned cheap downtown theatre before going to see it 'proper' at the Megaplex with a group). As pumped as I am for this thing, I think I'll just hold off until Saturday. It was only an off chance I found out I'd even have the ability to see it on tomorrow and all along Saturday was the date I had in mind anyway. -

I just spoke with someone who watched it at the theatre he works at earlier in the week (spman, actually) and he said it was only 2:30 with one trailer. While that is close to 3 hours, it's not quite. But I guess factor in approx. 4 more trailers and commercials for cars and an actor playing a carpenter explaining to me why pirating movies is wrong and yeah, you could be looking at 3 hours. -
Man that would suck if he's the victim that dies on CSI in his last TV appearance. I'll remember him for the last TV role I saw him in... himself, as the villain in that Adam West / Burt Ward movie from 2003. They really should release Batman on box set DVDs.
