  1. Wouldn't it suck if this was all a big swerve, Heyman was just backstage to visit old friends? The new GM is Sable or a newly signed Dusty Rhodes (remember back in 2002 when the rumours were Dusty was coming, and WWE.com even put a up his graphic for "WHO WILL THE GM BE?")
  2. For the sake of reference, these are the dates being listed by retailer's websites: Future Shop: October 27th (estimated) Best Buy: 'Search' is down and I couldn't find it. I assume the same as FS since it's the same company (or so I hear in Canada). FYE: October 27th EB: Ships on the 27th (so, 28-29th) GameStop: Pre-Release ETA: 10/27/03 and so on... so, very likely, by the 28th it should be in most stores.
  3. It just (recently) hit me that Hawk is one of the Legends in the game. I'll be sure to use him.
  4. Good to hear about Eddie.
  5. Here's a match that's only 9 years old... Bret Hart vs. Bob Backlund... Bret being cornered by Bulldog, Backlund by Owen, Stu at ringside and Helen the one who throws in the towel. The only guy involved to not be dead or messed up right now is the one who isn't a Hart family member.
  6. I was going to post that Matt Hardy, as a heel, was only showing support for Vince McMahon over the face Stephanie McMahon, but two people have done so already so I'll save you further embarassment to your odd statement about giving away the ending and not bring it up.
  7. Don't feel like reading 38 pages to see if this has happened to anyone else... I was playing as TNA, and for whatever reason switched back to Monthly PPVs hoping to get a TV deal. So I click, click, click Next Day ignoring the news, reading it once a week. I read the news and find I have 1300+ messages. It would seem FLI had become owned by Tenryu, and he deicded to shake htings up to cut costs... be releasing the entire EWR roster. As a result, RVD is now joining my company in Negative 1 months, and anyone I have under written contract is under contract for the same time period. Anyone else have this very strange bug happen?
  8. Ah, yes, that was one of 2 reversals that was being complained about.
  9. Well, I have a very bad habit of taking 2nd hand information from IRC without clicking on the link evidence they provide. I generally just check out the videos of entrances and finishers for people I wanted to see through this thread. The person told me the video was a link of Rey choketossing Big Show... but why would a choketoss be one of Rey's moves? Thinking about it further, I think he was complaining about the reversal animation for the turnbuckle moves... sorry for just jumping the gun without actually checking out the video while this HCTP hater on IRC ranted and raved.
  10. Argh X2! It appears THQ has also broken the Weight system promise, limiting it only to bodyslams. Recent videos indicate Rey and toss Big Show aroudn with ease.
  11. According to his book, yes.
  12. His opinion on the show seem about right... the only thing I find odd is that when I e-mailed him asking him why he posted the Ric Flair DVD line up without giving an opinion on it (too few matches seems to be a big complaint with people I talk to on IRC, yet everyone here seems to be drooling over the damn thing), he said that the Blog was supposed to be free of wrestling opinions and he was just passing it along. Does this mean a Quickie Raw Rant in the blog only as well?
  13. Argh... that 5th Ultimo video confirms what I had heard from others, that Warping is indeed a part of HCTP after we were promised moving your opponent around in the ring would be vital to hitting moves properly. The whole 'warping' aspect of SD! never bothered me greatly, but being told it will no longer happen when it clearly still will does. Oh well, should still be great, already pre-paid for the game yesterday (which, as has been pointed out earlier, apparently makes no sense, but hey, I like the fact that I've already paid for it and can pick it up whenever I feel like).
  14. http://stacykeiblerweb.tripod.com/stacybig.jpg is the original picture if you can get around those stupid Tripod linking rules.
  15. I found the commercials for the movie interesting, it seemed they were trying to hide the fact Fraser isn't playing Geroge by showing shots from the back and superimposing the picture of the DVD over shots of the front of George.
  16. Me too. I need that damn 2003 Collectors Box!
  17. I watched Rumble, No Way Out, and Mania for free at a local bar that had a strong wrestling crowd, but it has since closed down due to a court case against it. There have been rumblings of it opening under different (re: the same, but different for legal purposes) ownership. Backlash I saw at a the closest bar that was showing wrestling, but the amount of people who were there and didn't like wrestling, causing them to insult everything they saw, was very annoying. Judgment Day was skipped because I was working, and it was a new job that I didn't feel I had put enough time into to be requesting shift changes (and of course, the JD card itself...). Bad Blood was the first PPV I paid to see, paying the movie theatre price to watch it, Vengeance, and SummerSlam (which again I was supposed to be at work for, but swithced shifts with someone). When Unforgiven rolled around, I did not feel it necessary to make arrangements to not work, so I skipped that one too. So, in short, I skipped 2 shows this year. No Mercy is iffy, as Bad Blood was not a fantastic start to the theatre experience, and combined with cab costs home (since no bus service exists that late on Sunday and niehter me nor any of my wrestling fan friends drive), another place to watch PPV for free, preferably without harassment from non-fans, will be needed. If one is not found, we'll probably end up at the same place we watched Backlash at.
  18. WO so totally swiped that idea from S_D
  19. Before London actually signed with the company, they did a Matt vs London match on V-Lo. It was actually really good, and Paul had a lot of offense. He kicked out of the Twist of Fate and even did the London Calling (which I think Josh even called properly), but missed and was pinned. I was really surprised at how much offense he was given, but he was signed about a week or two later.
  20. THAT's a main event? I'm just going to assume those are a parody of a line up.
  21. Earlier, I noticed someone counted up the full matches on the "feature" and combined it with the full matches listed in the extras to say 10 of 11 full matches had been announced. I was assuming that the "11 Full Matches" for the DVD Extras were seperate from whatever full matches appeared on the feature that could be bought on VHS. I guess we'll know in time.
  22. Going back to using In Game Models for the Vs. screen is a move I very much approve of.
  23. information that was provided to 1wrestling's Wrestling Store.
  24. That's your WMXX main event (and finish!) right there...
