  1. Eh, it's not really the same as being a mark and enjoying that shit. I know for a fact that I wouldn't enjoy the "Canada v. USA" angle now as much as I did back in 97. That is probably my favourite angle ever. Would it be if I had just caught it on tapes here and there? Probably not.
  2. You didn't watch wrestling at all? You seem like one of those guys whose been watching for ages, and you seem to be a big fan of Flair which now seems weird since you never saw him during his heydey, back in the day. Odd is all.
  3. For sure, I was beginning to think that no one cared about me. *Puts away razor blade*
  4. I know that much, but I'm still curious in reading what a wrestling columnist has to say politically. I vaguely remember someone saying that he was actually a pretty intelligent guy too.
  5. So I guess that no one cares about this story? Seems like a big deal to me, and I would at least think that all the liberal minded folk around here would have a field day with it.
  6. You don't come off as a dipshit at all. Nope.
  7. MMkay, how about a link? I am interested in hearing what this guy has to say.
  8. Mase quit rapping years ago because he said God told him to have a new calling or something. He eventually went to study Business and I believe he's back in the business again.
  9. "Milkshake" is a good song, you miserable worm. Anyway, longtime followers of my work may remember the coke whore I talked to on AIM (and was later treated orally). She claimed to live near him in Mississippi or some shit. What you said about Milkshake reminds me; it's kind of weird to see all of these "elitist" music critics at Pitchfork be so open towards mainstream pop. Very weird actually. Afroman is one fucked up individual.
  10. The only problem I had was that Angle was either in the right or I'm an evil person, because I totally understood Kurt's point(s). What points exactly? The bit with the handcuffs was GOLD.
  11. Just thought I'd bump this up. Did anyone else see the Iceman/Badboy documentary on Directv? That shit was dope. Mike Kyle has a weak chin but has enormous power. Cabbage has lots of power as well and can take a shot from anybody. I give the advantage to Cabbage, knockout in either the latter parts of the first or beginning of the second.
  12. I thought it was a joke at first... When I first saw/heard of this, I couldn't believe it. I don't see how someone can defend this. Like I said, I first saw this on the Daily Show and thought Jon Stewart and co. were joking about this. But they were talking about how the reporters were fake and it was made by the White House Admin. to make the bill sound like a great thing. I am just surprised that noone made a thread about it here. This is blatant propaganda. The best part of the segment on The Daily Show was when he said that they were just following the book on how to successfully keep watch on the public:
  13. I've made that point before. If he is such a blithering idiot --- why the heck dedicate posts about it? There are plenty of hacks out there who also write such stuff. -=Mike ...It's be like me doing a political thread on how much of a moron Eric S. is Whose Eric S.? I liked the match, but I couldn't honestly give it *****, not that I rate on star ratings. I'm not a critic. So forget the rating, there are just varying degrees of enjoyment. This wasn't nearly as deep or enjoyable as Benoit's best stuff, or our other Canadian wrestling hero's work in the WWF, Bret Hart. His matches at WM8 and 13 rock this one. Not to mention 10. So yeah, this isn't my favourite match or even close, so I don't know why others would rate it *****. But to each their own. The other problem is that there's no epic feel in the WWF anymore with title wins, like someone pointed out in another thread. Probably because 16 PPVs or whatever a year is way too much, but that's another topic.
  14. He opposed an "idiot culture" --- and calls Bush the most radical President of his lifetime and of the century (not really fair, since he's the ONLY President of this century). Man, he beats out LBJ? Reagan? -=Mike I believe he meant the twentieth century. It would be sneaky for him to imply the twenty first. I'm ignorant on the history of American politics, so I couldn't give an honest answer, but he doesn't seem to have changed the state of the nation as much as "most radical" would suggest. I always assumed FDR was the greatest president of the twentieth century, and I thought most radical was a part of that since to be the greatest president you have to make some major changes in the country. Correct me if I'm wrong people.
  15. I'm equally has annoyed by the people who think anyone who shows support for their country by displaying the U.S. flat is nothing but a mindless drone. That has nothing to do with it. I've never seen or heard of such sentiment. The "liberals hate America" was brought up in this very said. I don't know why you felt the need to say it. I feel kind of bad for him, but that's assuming he's genuine. I can't tell, but odds are he wasn't, so might as well punish him as the law says. It's weird to serve in Iraq for as long as he was and than all of a sudden say it's about oil. I'm assuming he wanted to go home and thought that this would be the best way to go about it. He was wrong.
  16. Every thread in CE is about dodging the issue. Everytime someone knocks a Presidential candidate, someone else is quick to show why the other one is worse. If anything, I think what he said is relevant since you showed him a pic of Kerry as an ass, and he gave you a factoid trying to show that GWB is a bigger ass. Whether that argument holds merit is not the point, the point is that it's relevant. Obviously it doesn't though, since many people have turned their lives around, but I won't get into that. It's funny for a liberal to bash a guy about past mistakes though; they're all about giving second chances.
  17. Yeah I read that, I'd have liked to seen their reactions though.
  18. Anyone see Carson Daly last night? A recap or video download would be nice. For those who don't know, it featured Chuck Liddell AND Tito Ortiz. I'm assuming it was good, waiting to watch it myself though.
  19. Fair enough. All politicians lie. It's the name of the game. Kerry is too much like Clinton in that regard. -=Mike ...Besides, the French LOVE him. Heck, I'd make campaign ads about THAT. "Cheese-eating surrender monkeys agree: VOTE KERRY!" Don't badmouth cheese. It's political protocol to lie about everything, whether that's being politically correct or not. Just deal with it.
  20. This thread is about a lack of common sense, not about how anal-retentive you are. This might sound weird, but when people can't even put two and two together. It can apply to many different situations, but basically when they need everything to explained to them in full detail. They probably still won't get it.
  21. That song sounds terrible, unless it's a poem of some kind. Randy Newman deserves a punch in the face. I couldn't care less as to whether people hate America. Will they ever do anything about it? Probably not. Now if America hates YOU, then we have a problem...
  22. That's much more offensive and "influential to our youth" than whatever Ludacris raps about. He probably won't point that out though. I love how when someone says something you don't like they're bad people, but when you don't care or agree they're brave for speaking their opinion. What a load of shit.
  23. BOOOOOOOO!!! There is no such thing as "too much" cleavage and anything that restricts free roaming cleave doesn't get my support. Ripper: I support da cleave. Supports Ripper supporting Da cleave. The Pixies. For the most part to resounding success. But I was kinda disheartened when I told one dude and he was like "They sound like a fag band. The Pixies, what kind of name is that?!" He then went to listen to his shitty Doors music and that was that. He actually tried to convince they were good and said he'd be willing to burn me a compilation. I promptly told him to fuck off. Like I said though, success for the most part. It helps when 95% of the people you know are so narrow-minded when it comes to music that REM or even U2 would be a revelation and a step up. Popcorn and salsa. That's the fucking shit.
  24. Did I not explain well enough that it does mean something? It's the inital wear-down to set up for the big moves later on. And besides, why does *everything* have to mean something in wrestling? Can't they just be wrestling? I dunno, I just hate the logic that if it doesn't lead right into the finish, it's pointless. It doesn't have to work into the finish, but factor it into the story. There are so many different ways that you can use it, and it wasn't used at all yesterday, much like every other WWF match. Like someone else said, WWF doesn't care about the story which gives us much wasted potential. They will always be the WWF to me.
  25. Again, missing the point; not saying not to do mat wrestling, but if you're going to do it make it mean something. They can have the greatest exchange ever and if they don't build on it it doesn't mean shit. Unfortunately, 99.9% of all WWF matches start off that way which is the problem.
