  1. The only way Cheney would have CLEARLY won this debate was if he posted this hilariously witty picture: But the way it stands now: It most definitely was a split decision.
  2. See, the unbiased opinion of this debate would be that it was a draw. Cheney won on the foreign issues. Edwards won on the domestic issues. But then again.... .....Mike disagrees with me. Never have I seen him lean towards the right in any way, shape, or form.
  3. It's a stretch to imagine he knows anything about the Oval Office during the Bush administration, considering he spent a good portion of these four years hidden away in a "remote location." Oh, how I wish Edwards would, at least, have touched on that mystery.
  4. HAH! Best post in this thread so far. Preconceived opinions are such a bitch to get rid of.
  5. Intelligent. Witty. Important to this topic. All certain criteria that your post didn't fit. How anyone could look at the debate for the past half-hour on domestic issues and NOT note on how much better Edwards has been doing just isn't bothering to pay attention. This certainly isn't the slaughtering that Mike was dying to see.
  6. "Don't talk about John Kerry. Please. Now, please tell me why John Kerry flip-flops so much." Yeah, for anyone who wasn't sure before......this woman sucks.
  7. You don't see him referring to Bush ad inifitum. Edwards has nothing else outside of "Wasn't Kerry GREAT, Thursday?" Jesus, Kerry wasn't even THAT great. -=Mike Perhaps he's referencing the previous speech so people can better grasp the idea he's trying to preach? Perhaps he's mentioning Kerry because Cheney keeps trying to do the same? Perhaps there is a more mature reason for this than "Maybe he's in LOVE~! HA~!"
  8. Jesus, Cheney just mentioned George W. Bush - AGAIN. Is Cheney in love with George Bush? He's almost comical. -=Rob
  9. Again, she gives off a total PBS vibe. I'm expecting Oscar the Grouch to show up at any moment, so we can note the surprising similarities between Oscar and Cheney.
  10. They lack the personal animosity. -=Mike ...I don't think Cheney even remotely takes his seriously, honestly... Perhaps this is why he has started to visibly weaken in the domestic issue debate.
  11. Oh! Cheney got owned on that topic.
  12. Let's not make a mistake here. When Cheney's question is about talking about the Israeli conflict - and he then decides to tackle the Halliburton claims instead - and then lodges into a personal attack on Edwards' record without any coaxing whatsoever - it looks to me that Cheney was much more harsh on the bitchiness than Edwards was. Edwards is only returning the favor in order to survive. Interesting how we find ourselves on opposite sides this time. But no hard feelings at all from me at least THE MEGA-POWERS EXPLODE!! It was bound to happen sooner or later.
  13. Christ, Mike, what the hell are you watching? Seriously now. What in the hell are you watching? Edwards has been rocking Cheney in the domestic policy debate so well.
  15. Edwards has definitely gotten stronger in this debate since it moved onto domestic issues.
  16. He had 30 seconds to tell me his claims about Halliburton. Instead of using that 30 seconds the best way he could, he chose to harp on the fact that this was a damned Democratic smokescreen - then directed me to go to factcheck.com, which is a false address anyway. Not exactly too strong there.
  17. OMG!! INSTEAD OF TRYING TO COMBAT THE CLAIMS ON HALLIBURTON, CHENEY IS GOING COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC AND TRYING TO ATTACK EDWARDS' RECORDS!! I THINK HE JUST RIPPED OUT EDWARDS' SOUL!! Where is Cheney's supposed strong, earth-shattering defense of his scandals with Halliburton? He said he was going to comment on that and then went completely off-topic with low blows. Low blows are starting to look like the only things that are helping Cheney look so good at this point. Damn answering the question. Attack Edwards' record instead. That's the way to win.
  18. WOW!!! EDWARDS SURE GOT HIS HEAD RIPPED OFF THERE!! HALLIBURTON!!! *DROPS DEAD ON FLOOR*
  19. Well you know the insurgents are becoming more desperate by the month as much 'paper tigers' as they (and Bin Laden) think we are. So that's expected................ Expected? I certainly didn't expect it. If the war is under control, you should be prepared for these insurgents and know how to combat any sneak attacks they're planning to strike with. Obviously, you can't expect the soldiers to avoid getting blindsided every single time. But look at these statistics.....the number keeps going up. And we keep getting told that the status on the war is improving! How is this possible?
  20. Edwards hasn't brought ANYTHING outside of the talking points. Nothing else. No facts. No figures. Just the usual talking points. I doubt Cheney could have been prepared for this debate better. -=Mike "This war HAS been going well." "More soldiers have died in Iraq in September than they did in August. More soldiers have died in Iraq in August than they did in July. More soldiers have died in July than they did in June. How are things going well?" I don't know. To me, that seems to do a pretty good job of going against Cheney's claims of how the war is under control. I'm not saying Edwards is winning. Cheney is. But it's a complete fucking joke if you think Cheney is annihilating Edwards.
  21. Cheney is doing better than Edwards so far. But Edwards definitely isn't doing too bad himself. I'm shocked. Mike walked into this debate with his preconceived opinions of what will happen - and, by God, amazingly, he seems to think he was right! Annihilation? What a joke.
  22. I'm not feeling this moderator. She just seems to give the debate an amateurish, PBS-like vibe. Women moderators?! Welcome to Dick Cheney's America.
  23. John Edwards has been impressing me so far. He's coming into this debate with an attack plan on the Bush administration and its Iraq policies, rather than smiling and trying to play nice thus far.
  24. Stevey, I'm getting quite confused with your policies here. You hate Bush, despite the fact that he's against abortions. You hate Snitsky, despite the fact that he's become quite talented at causing abortions. Decide what side of the fence you're standing on. You're not going to win the TSM election if you keep this up....
  25. So how can you argue about the content of the topic when you added absolutely no content to it yourself?
