Yeah, exactly. The only thing I can think of is that maybe the Super Invader thing was just supposed to be temporary, and then he would have later wrestled just as Hercules or something else. Kind of like when WWF brought back Jim Neidhart and had him as Who? for a while, kind of just to give him something to do until Bret Hart came back.

Any Braves fans heard the rumors that Brewers radio announcer Jim Powell is going to be taking the vacant Atlanta radio job? If so, it's a big loss for the Brewers, but you guys will be getting a tremendously knowledgeable announcer. Yeah, we'll still have Bob Uecker, but Powell is very good in his own right.

I could be wrong, but wasn't this an aborted angle WWF was going to do after Savage's "retirement" in '92?

What's wrong with just calling him "Low-Ki?" I'm assuming most WWE fans on the 'net have at least heard of him by now.

There was enough funny stuff that I still enjoyed the show last night, but it was pretty forgettable overall. The stuff with Michael and David just seemed really flat to me. I thought there would be some pay off, like Michael making some ridiculous salary raise demand or something, but it was just kind of like watching two characters that were just sort of "there". Yeah, the part where Michael was supposed to leave was funny, but I thought we'd get more than that. Also, how does Jim get away with letting two employees almost come to blows when he is in charge? Seemed to be overly passive, even for him.

I watched wrestling a bit from like '87 on. I distinctly remember seeing an episode of Superstars featuring Killer Khan squashing some jobber and thinking he was legitimately scary.

I thought I remembered WCW explained it as Vader trying to get his "killer instinct" back or something like that.

The only argument I've heard against Blyleven is that he played for 22 years, which is stupid, since that should be considered somewhat of an accomplishment itself. He should be in.

snopes.com and a couple other websites say it's at least partially fake...the picture is off the cover of a different magazine...so it's possible the list is real, but the picture was tacked on later, or something.

Anyone else encounter the penned up Behemoth inside that huge raider camp at that railway station (sorry, forget the name of the location off hand)? Is there any way to free it? I couldn't figure any way out, and ended up just slowly killing him with rifle shots while perched on a rail car. Enountered death claws finally the other day, and boy, they are a pain in the rear. My guy is a sneak attack critical machine, and I've found that if I can catch them off guard and get a surprise hit, I can usually kill them with 3-4 shots of a rifle or scoped magnum. Still freaky when they charge at you, though.

Well, they hired a well thought of guy to be their GM in Jack Zdurencik (sp?) who was scouting director for the Brewers, among other positions I think. Kind of wonder if they will ever consider trading Ichiro...I suppose Nintendo wouldn't allow it, but I bet they could get a decent package of young prospects they could build around for the future, though.

Not sure why he'd lie about it though...it's not like it was some wildly successful gimmick like Razor Ramon or something. What was he around for, like six months or so in total? Speaking of big guys under masks, what was the deal with Hercules Hernandez coming in under a mask as "The Super Invader?" Seemed like Herc was a big enough star he could have come in under that name...or did they figure he had been jobbed out too much as part of Power & Glory in WWF?

Sounds like a pretty solid move for the Braves. I just don't think Lowe is going to regress that much as he pushes 40, personally. Also, if Varitek can get more than about $5 million at this point, I'll be shocked. The only team that is remotely interested in him seems to be Boston, and I think they are sick of Boras' antics. They've walked away from their tenured veterans before, no reason they can't do it again with Cap'n Tek.

The advantage with Clinton is that she is well known, and I would assume somewhat popular abroad. That's a huge plus right now.

I will echo that I think Rice getting in should get Parker some more consideration. Why he isn't mentioned more as a possible realistic candidate, I don't know. He was certainly a "feared hitter" for much of his career, like we discussed in another thread.

Cody is fine. I think he's really coming into his own right now. I don't get the point of kicking Sim and Manu out so soon. Are they going to return as a tag team or something?

Well, last year Bonds was claiming he would come back and play for the minimum salary with any team, which may or may not have been BS on his part.
