I really enjoyed last night's show. The cage match was awesome, and for those complaining about Abyss jobbing...let's use some perspective. He lost to the guy being billed as the greatest wrestler in the history of amateur and pro-wrestling. Get a grip. I liked last night's show because they didn't have to rush everything. I fear what's going to happen next week when they're back to one hour.

What it comes down to is that, we as fans need to get more active in letting WWE know how we feel, and then punishing them when they don't follow through.

Dumb question...why couldn't they make this thing Hi-Def compatible? I have an HDTV, and I have playing Gamecube on it.

They would either pay a steep fine, or the child would become a ward of the state and trained for either military or civil service.

You're going to have to get A SPECIAL FUCKING TV SET just to watch regular broadcast TV in the next couple years, you know. Or at least a digital tuner/conversion box thingy.

Smackdown could probably use him right now. Not a huge Brown fan, but it was inevitable, I guess.

Well, that's the problem with wrestling today. There are too many PPVs between WWE and TNA. Throw in competition from UFC, and it's just like they're splitting up the same pie too many ways. There's only so many PPV buy dollars to go around. That's why I laugh when people say WWE should bring back a "Clash of the Champions" type event. When they hell would they run it? Wednesday nights, in between ECW and Smackdown? Maybe find a week when there's not a PPV the following weekend? It's ridiculous.

That reminds me...I have a lot of older VHS tapes I'd like to transfer to DVD. Do I need a DVD burner for this, or can I do it with my computer somehow? Is it even possible to do with a commercially released VHS tape?

I thought last night was a little bit "eh". I did laugh when the Red Wings were beating the crap out of kids, and the movie announcer guy was funny, but everything else seemed kind of forced. The other thing that annoyed me was that this was basically the same plot as the skiing episode where Stan had to race downhill a few seasons ago.

I haven't heard or seen anything here in Wisconsin, honestly, though I know Kurt Angle is supposed to do an interview on a local radio station tomorrow, IIRC.

The parents of this boy should be arrested, and an investigation should be launched into why this boy did this. Kids don't just suddenly get the idea to stick fuck each other.

I still say they should do Cena vs HBK for the WWE Championship, but I doubt that will happen because it would be something fresh that people would actually want to watch.

You'd never know it, since he was basically portrayed as a completely personality-less vanilla big man. They should've done some videos of him hanging out with the crowd and partying. At least it would've been something different.

At least Mike Awesome had a modicum of history in ECW, and was a fairly well known worker from doing matches in Japan, etc. Awesome was relatively credible as a champion. Lashley is still basically an unproven rookie.

Do people remember what Bret looked like at the HoF ceremony? He isn't "The Hitman" anymore. He'd look like a shell of his former self out there, and I'd rather remember him the way he was.

I always felt like TNA was kind of forcing a push of Brown because he was "their guy," not because the crowd was really into him.

This thread reminded me of that Crank Yankers episode where the guy calls in to his insurance company after hitting "a deer."

I wish people would just let Bret enjoy his retirement. He said at the HoF ceremony (which alone most of us thought would never happen) that he was doing fine and doesn't need to come back to the ring.
