Stacy Keibler on Dancing With the Stars Finals Tonight
SuperJerk replied to Fro's topic in The WWE Folder
Exactly. They're guaranteed AT LEAST a certain amount of money in their contract, but have to potential to make much more based on merchandise and ticket sales. At let's not also forget that travel expenses are tax deductible. I don't even know where to begin with this one. -
Anybody else remember a news bit a few months ago where Sunny got dragged kicking and screaming out of a wrestling convention, and yelling at Bret Hart she was the best sex he'd ever had?

By 4th and 5th, I hope you meant Phantom Menace and Clones, and not New Hope and Empire. don't mind WP, he knows not what he speaks. Yeah, with Star Wars I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm leaving this thread now. See ya everyone. Anybody who says they couldn't get into Phantom Menace and Clones can't be THAT bad. They were terrible movies. -

In 2000-1, when business was a lot hotter than it is now, at least one undercard guy had to take a second job to make ends meet. Undercard guys make shit. I have a very hard time believing this. -
The amount of evidence supporting this statement is staggering.

Question for anyone who watches the show: What the hell do you think is inside Baltar's head talking to him? It can't be the Cylon that was with him on Caprica (last night she didn't even know he was alive and no Cylon device was found in Baltar's head in "Home Part 2"), and it can't be his subconcious (also disproven in "Home Part 2" and "Six Degrees of Separation"). In "Home Part 2", she claims to be an angel of God, but I have a hard time accepting this given that she works to further the Cylon agenda and has often spoken as if she actually is a Cylon on multiple occasions.

Holy crap, ain't that the truth! And most of the time the professor hasn't taught in a school in 10 years. Teacher education needs to be: okay, here's a wide variety of sample lesson plans and methods we're going to try. Teacher education is all learning theory (and only the theories the particular professor likes) and pedagogical terminology (which is just an attempt by the learning theories people to sound like they know more than they do), and not enough practical application. Perfect example: the anticipatory set. All that is is the practice of getting the kids' attention before you start teaching to get them thinking about what it is you'll be teaching about. Simple, common sense idea, right? So instead of making me read 5 chapters on the anticipatory set and why Madeline fucking Hunter thinks its so goddamn important, how about actually showing me some attention getting activities that work???? There's a reason most teachers suck for the first 2-3 years.

I didn't read all of the responses, but it sounds to me like people are pissed that Sting's only been on Impact once. Its move on TNA's part that I honestly don't get, quite frankly. Just how many dates does Sting have to work? 12?

It is in some cases. For example, there's a fair bit of money to be made teaching up North, like in Nunavut. You get paid more then you normally would, plus you get bonuses because the cost-of-living is pretty high up there. And that's because there's not a lot of teachers out there, so...yeah. It is a factor sometimes. Okay, yeah there's exceptions of course for special circumstances like moving to the North Pole.

No Hell, I think most of the people I knew had to hit 20 before they finally escaped the middle/high school mentalities you described in the first sentence Depends on the kids, I guess. Speaking as someone who works with this age group every day, I (and every other high school teacher I've ever spoken to about it) can see a HUGE difference between 9th and 10th graders, because the majority of 10th graders "get it", and the majority of 9th graders don't.

That's why its a gray area.

Not if Rey Rey is the undisputed champion of the WWE and if MNM is the unified tag team champions. Business will pick up when HHH has the Evolution DX reunion on Smackdown surely that alone will pick up the ratings for network television. That way HHH can claim that he saved Smackdown from being cancelled. Wow. How far into your BUTT did you have to reach to pull THAT out?

Dirty!
-
That'd make me happy if I didn't think they'd replace her with someone worse.
-
Come on now, not all women are fucking retards. Are you saying you would have handled the Dicks better if you were on top? Yeah, Steph is stupid for letting the Dicks go. It's obvious they had a lot of potential and were ready to make a blast onto the scene. That's tremendous.

I'm thinking they split around the time Test was released, which should tell you why they split up right there. I ain't say she's a gold digga...but she ain't messing with no broke Canigga. -
Since I didn't go earlier... Raised Pentecostal, now agnostic.

Congratulations to CWM. And don't listen to Leena. My mom had me when she was 21, and I turned out okay. And let's all remember that, too.

The choice of the word "created" really has nothing to do with the issue at hand. And I'm not exactly going along with the idea that a growing mass of cells with human DNA, but incapable of independent thought or the ability to survive on its own, constitutes a person. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. The pro-life people (at least those of the religious persuasion) seem to think that life begins at conception because that's when the "soul" (a religious concept not proven to really exist) enters the body. Since its impossible to prove when life begins one way or the other, we allow women to decide for themselves.

Supply and demand. There's a huge number of students working towards their teaching certifications. True, but not true. Teaching is a field where things are very specialized. And some of those specialized fields are higher demand than others. For every math teacher graduating, there's 10 social studies teachers. However, the social studies teachers with 3 years experience and 16 hours towards his masters degree makes the same $35,000 for 180 contract days that the math teacher with 3 years experience and 16 hours towards his masters degree does. Supply and demand is not a factor, because the salaries are mandated across the board for years of experience + number of graduate hours, rather than how badly math teachers are needed.
