  1. They're spending way too much time and effort building up Cena vs. Batista vs. JBL considering its not going to happen.
  2. Eddie could cause Lita to have a miscarriage and still get cheered.
  3. You got your facts all run here buddy. Angel is on TNT because they bought the rights to air it in syndication. FX also bought the rights to air Buffy. The studios who produce the show and the channel they air on, barely ever match up. And what deal? TNT made a deal to keep Angel on the air? No, WB made a deal with Mutant Enemy/Fox to keep Angel on the air by agreeing to air reruns of it on TNT. I think this was at the end of the 4th season. It was also part of the deal to keep Buffy on WB after season 5 which Joss walked away from. FX didn't have to "buy" the rights to air Buffy in the traditional sense, because their parent company (Fox) already own part of the show. I'm guessing Joss and Co. get residuals, though. A significantly high percentage of shows owned by Fox end up on F/X, and a significantly high percentage of shows owned by Warner end up on TNT. Its not a 100% thing, but it happens.
  4. Thanks. Is there an easier way to turn the pages on the comic reader program? I keep having to try and scroll down a billion times before the page actually turns, and then sometimes I scroll too far.
  5. I agree, Mike, but that's not why I posted the analogy. The argument started because I said I didn't believe in the religious structure which sin was a part of after McHaggis stated "we're all sinners", and then he said I'm not allowed to have an opinion on the subject. His statement that I'm "not allowed" to have an opinion is the actual comment I was trying to prove was incorrect with the multiple analogies by showing other comparable things I probably would be allowed to criticize in his view. Or, I could have just said "What are you, the thought police? Fuck off." But I decided to go the mature route and defend my right to my view using logic. McHaggis was having none of it and tried to repeatedly nail me on semantic technicalities.
  6. You may have a point. Slayer beat me to the joke. For those of you who missed it the first time: **waits for applause**
  7. Now you're just putting words in my mouth. Here's my analogy broken down SAT style for your ass. sin : religion :: communist ideas : communism If I'm allowed to communist ideals despite not being a communist, shouldn't I be able to criticize religious ideals without believing in religion. Now do you see my point?
  8. If you were talking about Walter Mondale or George McGovern, I might see your point. He only lost by 3 points, Mike, and got more votes than anyone else in U.S. history except for one person. That makes him pretty damn serious in my book. He may have been a hypocrite, but he's definitely not a joke. edit: I can't believe everyone's no-selling my greatest line ever.
  9. Which is a real shame since that fake Kerry quote was probably my best bit all week.
  10. What are the chances of the Cruiserweight Championship match being given enough time to be interesting?
  11. The ultimate fictional John Kerry quote: "I'm proud of doing something I'm ashamed of." .... His protests were pretty well documented after the war, and I think we'd all agree that he promoted the fact that he was in Vietnam... I don't really see the fiction in the claim. "Fictional" refers to the fact that I made the quote up, not the events on which the imaginary quote was based.
  12. I'd hope not, they would be like 300 years old. You'd have to be a zombie or something. Or vampires. A vampire president would be cool. He'd have to have his inauguration in doors, of course.
  13. The ultimate fictional John Kerry quote: "I'm proud of doing something I'm ashamed of."
  14. Could Washington, Jefferson, or Lincoln get elected today? I think not. And that is a tragedy.
  15. Why are they running the "Can' Believe Its Not Justice League" series in JLA Classified instead of its own book? Even with Sue dead, why not give it is own run?
  16. Oh, so close but so far... I bet you didn't know he speaks French, too. Wasn't he in VietNam or something? I seem to remember hearing about that as well.
  17. Its important for a candidate to seem normal to get elected, because voters like people they are comfortable with. But wouldn't it be nice if elections were decided on issues, leadership ability, and intellect, rather than who can seem the most like a "regular guy"?
  18. What I *said* was: Please learn how to read.
  19. You don't know much about politics and elections, do you? You misunderstand my meaning. I understand the psychological reasons for people voting the way they do, I just don't agree with them.
  20. Some people have forgotten how popular Rush Limbaugh was 10 years ago. Fortunately, his popularity has faded. Kerry: -U.S. Senator for 20 years. -Lt. Governor of Massachussettes. -2004 Democratic nominee for President of the U.S. -Former Naval officer. -Yale graduate. Limbaugh: -Host of popular radio show where he's the only person allowed to talk. -Former radio DJ. -Flunked out of college.
  21. Your analogy is flawed. I never said religions don't exist.
  22. I only said that Cheney's lies allowed him to win the debate, not the election. Lobbing insults at Edwards isn't going to change my opinion of him, because it was already pretty low to begin with. I just don't think the debate was a fair fight, since Cheney's greatest and most remembered line of the night was a lie. Ahem.
  23. YES!!!!!!!!!!
  24. I'd rather see anyone else get a collection like this than the X-Men. They've already been reprinted 100,000 times.
  25. Anyone else seen this Amazing Spider-Man CD-ROM? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...=books&n=507846 Its Adobe Acrobat pages of every "Amazing Spider-Man" comic up to issue #500, plus Amazing Fantasy #15, on 11 CD-ROMs. My wife bought it for me for Valentine's Day, and it just arrived today. They are original comics, with ads and everything, scanned as PDF files and in full color. I hope Marvel makes more of these. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have 501 comics to read.
