credit: http://www.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/02/23/...left/index.html I'll go ahead and point out that my biggest problems with the law are the ones I put in bold. Before someone uses the "teachers don't like standardized tests because it makes them do their jobs" argument, let me point out that most states had standardized testing in place decades before Bush took office.

Many of the alledged eye witnesses, including Kerry's commanding officer, have been discredited or retracted their story. credit: http://factcheck.org/article231.html I read the Boston Globe story myself around the time it was published. Yup. This one's my favorite. As far as I'm concerned, they can take their sworn affidavits and shove them up their collective asses.

Hard to refute vague generalities. -=Mike Depends on what you mean by "common occurences". Hey, I wasn't there either, so I only go by what I've read/seen in documentaries. As far as the Winter Soldier stuff goes, if someone lies to you, but you think its true and you repeat it, does that make you a liar?

I seriously want to find out from people what they think the general state of human health was back when the only things to eat were "all natural" home grown fruits, vegetables, and grain products. Nowadays we have our "unnatural" modern medicine and agricultural methods, and FOR SOME REASON people seem to live longer.

It was good of Eddie to put Bradshaw over in the interview.

How was this supposed to occur last year? The original plan for WM XX was to headline with Hunter v Orton. I thought that was just a rumor, since Orton's program with Foley had been booked three months before WMXX.

I didn't say he wasn't allowed to do it, either. I said he was on a roll. (In other words, I was trying to be serious.)

I didn't say he couldn't do it. I said he was on a roll. SEE?????

http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/02/22...rope/index.html You know you're on a roll when you start fulfilling your opponent's campaign promises.

PROOF? None! What'd I tell ya!? Yes, while Kerry was forced to try and come up to some solid conclusion on his ever-changing Cambodia story, there hasn't been any documents or articles revealed that collaborate a good many of their stories. In fact, the evidence points the other way, craftily covered up with the claim that Kerry wrote everything that ever collaborated what happened in the war involving himself and everyone near him. http://factcheck.org/article231.html

I guess that also means the movie "Scarface" wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for Jimmy Carter.

I think you're exaggerating a little, but it was definitely better than the reception it got at the time it came out. And the scene where they "hire" the film crew is hilarious.

His argument didn't make any sense to me, either. He seemed to be contradicting himself there.

I'm giving this joke the Orton-push.
-
He didn't lie. http://factcheck.org/article244.html The fact that his words were used as Viet Cong propaganda wasn't his fault.

Batista hasn't been a heel for some time. Given the fact he's only been westling heels lately and even ridiculed Evolution's antics during the J.R. Day segment.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

News to me. Or so I've read. -
"I'm proud of doing something I'm ashamed of." (Seriously, has there ever been a better line for this guy to say?)

I think he means, "now that Bush BECAME president, I think he's a historic figure and that's why I'm releasing these tapes." I think you're wrong. He was answering a question about why he recorded them in the first place, not why he released them.
-
I disagree. Kerry's protesting of the Vietnam War was his right as an American citizen, but I can see how someone could say it wasn't friendly towards the military. His record as a senator regarding the military has improved greatly since he first took office.

When you say "believe in" to mean believe they exist, then you have a point. If you say "believe in" to mean "have faith in" (such as in the case of religion) you don't. Usually when people say "believe in" with regards to religions, they mean they believe they exist, but have no faith in. Usage determines meaning. You created this confusion when you posted: Obviously, you changed Your Paragon of Virtue's words around to fit your meaning. I'm sick of arguing semantics with you, though. In the case of what we were REALLY talking about, religion, I'm just going to come out and say what I really think: I have the right to think whatever I want about the concept of sin, regardless of whether I think a religion is true or not. Sin is a concept within a religious structure which I do not believe in. So? That's not a reason for me not to have an opinion on it.

You don't even want to know what popped up when I searched for 'animal man'. Eww, gross. Google would be would be awesome if there was a way to narrow searches down by category, rather than just key words.
