For the record, the Joe Schmo segment only ran about 5 minutes. The live crowd got to see Tajiri vs. Albert during that time. My theory was that once the overrun ran 15 minutes over, Spike knew they had too much time to kill with commericials until 10:30 (and before one of you idiots corrects me: I LIVE IN THE GODDAMNED CENTRAL TIME ZONE, a part of the country TV programmers seemed to have forgotten exists when promoting their schedules, BTW). Of course, I've always wondered how Raw could run until 10:05 and the schedule could be back to the normal :00 start time by the next day (unless they shorten commerical breaks here and there for the rest of the night).

What makes you so sure? Apart from logic, common sense, and the realities of business ? I see your point, but what makes Lesnar vs. Sting different that the other matches Meltzer mentioned? Why would he single that match as being the one that could only happen if Vince promoted it?

Hmmm...you put it that way and it makes sense. They were so ambiguous the month they gave it to HHH, confusion was almost guarenteed.

Outside of Bulldog/Hart, No. I must be the only person in the known universe who liked the Survivor Series 97 main event (enidng not withstanding). Buy it for THAT, also.

Plus, he's only going to take some of the focus off the guys in the match. Odds are he'll end up blading, and superkicking at least 2 guys during the course of the match. HBK will superkick Edge and HHH. Edge vs. HBK at Wrestlemania. Guess who's going over.

The Lesnar push was one of the most schizophrenic pushes of all time. He was this monster heel and the youngest WWE champion ever (at the time)...BUT he lost matches by DQ to the Hardyz, had to have his manager help him cheat to win King of the Ring, the title, and Hell in a Cell, lost his first title to a crappy transition champion, had a pointless and shitty face run after Wrestlemania...they had NO CLUE how to book this guy, and there's little chance that'll change if he comes back.

Vince would just laugh because he knows the politics at TNA are worse than the politics in WWE, and Heyman would be just as bad off.

Knowing Wade, he's heard that Brock's been calling Vince, but, because he hasn't heard that Vince has been talking to Brock, Wade has concluded that this has to mean Vince isn't returning Brock's calls. Wade Keller was that guy in high school who said he knew for a fact which people he'd never even met were sleeping together.
