This just shows that not getting a great reaction doesn't necessarily make you a bad worker. This point is moot anyways, since the person we're talking about does get great reactions. If you want to judge someone based on crowd reactions, then you shouldn't be judging Shawn Michaes poorly. Like I said before, the reason HBK's great isn't that he's the best at something, but that he's really good at almost everything. And thus the Michaels bashing reaches the apex of ridiculesness.

I disagree with this. Wrestling fans are the ones who determine what there is to know about the business, because we're the ones who react to everything. Everything in wrestling is done to get some type of reaction from the fan. So you're only as great as you are popular?

What about people who grew up in the 80s?

Women's belt still makes a good prop for Trish whether its around her waist or not, because she'll still be chasing it. Its just a prop for the ladies to fued over, not cancer. Having it around isn't the end of the world.

I don't think the admiration of Shawn Michaels is based on him being the best at any particular aspect of wrestling, but that he's very good at every aspect of professional wrestling. Its the diversity of his skill that earns him the high marks. We could all easily name someone who was better than Shawn at technical wrestling, high flying, bumping, hardcore spots, mic skills (both heel and face), drawing money, longevity, psychology, etc. But someone who was really good at ALL of those things? That's rare. That's why Shawn's great, in my opinion.
