  1. Orton was totally trying to be The Rock during his interview with Coach.
  2. New Year's Revolution is on January 9th. I'd sub Batista for HBK (will he even be ready to return by then?).
  3. Even with the DREADED REMATCH CLAUSE, there's nothing saying Trips should get his rematch tonight, is there? They're really gonna blow their last five grams of credibility if Jericho, of all people, let's him horn in on tonight's match.
  4. Speaking of ladder matches... Jesus ALWAYS main events.
  5. I saw this on Hardball last week. They had a representative of that church and a South Baptist minister on to "discuss" it. Memo to the Southern Baptists: you guys DO try to keep gays out of your church. No sense being crybabies about it when someone points it out.
  6. There are SO MANY ways they can fuck this up. Last week taught us that.
  7. Nobody really knows for sure how many of his ideas made it to air. My guess would be not very many, hence the tention with the other writers and Vince. No, of course Heyman's every idea isn't a goldmine, but his ideas (i.e. allegedly putting Angle/HBK in a program for Wrestlemania) usually trump whatever else is going on at the moment.
  8. I don't see him wrestling. Maybe as a ref between Orton and HHH.
  9. Actually, that's not necessarily true. I forgot who it was, but a person overlooked the WWF writers in 2000, when the show was at it's peak. I believe it was a lady, but I can't recall her name. And USA promoted Raw better than Spike TV/TNN did. There was a producer for USA that helped Raw, but I think she left the network before Raw did. I believe the person in question is named Bonnie Hammer. She eventually became president of Sci Fi Channel. Of some note, Hammer is now president of USA Network as well, the additional responsibilities added as part of the NBC Universal merger. Things do tend to move full circle, it seems. Yeah, that's who I'm thinking of. Her "big contribution" was to up the production values, wasn't it?
  10. "Hey, look, its Shelton Benjamin's arm on a TNA pay-per-view!" "Those bastards!" It doesn't work that way.
  11. Anybody by the "Essential MST3K" dvd that came out a couple of months ago? Its got "Manos" and "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians On It." Ziggy had Garfield nuetered? Now THAT'S funny! I, how I could quote Manos all day long...
  12. The hell? Saying Batman looks to black is like saying the sky looks too blue, or the grass looks too green. That's what color its SUPPOSED to be.
  13. I'll say the same thing I said when the Scorpion King was number one for 2 weeks... ...people are really starved for entertainment right now. Of course, I haven't seen it yet, but I have yet to meet or talk to ONE person who thought it was any good. Why the hell is it getting so much business if nobody likes it? I don't see Blade doing great business this week, even if it got an early release. Maybe they should put "Natalie Portman plays a stripper" in the ads for "Closer". It'd probably do a little better. "Ray" had runaway hit written all over it. Maybe people thought it'd be too depressing, but come on! The man JUST DIED! If that doesn't get the public in the mood to see a biopic, then I guess a movie about people chasing all over loookig for clues on historical artifacts DESERVES to be number one.
  14. Nightmares was a Joss episode? Meh, my votes still for "Waiting in the Wings".
  15. Bush's big second term scandal will probably involve Dick Cheney. That guy's too big an asshole to get out of this term scott free. Wishful thinking? You betcha. Justice? Absolutely.
  16. Related: Any thoughts on NEW AVENGERS #1? What about ULTIMATES 2 #1?
  17. For such a boring character, he sure has been popular for a long time. Not every Superman story has been good, but there have been enough to justify seeing the flaws with particular writers, and not with the character itself. Handled right you get "Smallville" (okay, some episodes, anyways), Superman 1 and 2, John Byrnes' run, the Max Fliecher cartoons, Kingdom Come, and the 90s animated series. Handle wrong you get Worlds at War, the Death of Superman, "Lois and Clark", "Superboy", and movies 3 and 4.
  18. Definitely the worst Joss episode. And it was a rip-off of "I Only Have Eyes For You" from Buffy Season 2.
  19. You guys remind me of why I need to quit visiting Aint It Cool. Those guys were pissing all over the last few shows. Its like there's something subliminal in the gifs over there that cause people to be jackasses.
  20. Let me re-emphasize the word together. But I'd settle for Jenbot by herself. That bitch is hot.
  21. Link? I didn't see it in the usual spot.
  22. At this point the WWE is marketing their PPV product specifically to people who like to throw their money away.
  23. And the winner for "Best song parody about the Royal Rumble poster" goes too... Phenom! **applause** (Are my awards any less meaningless than the Grammys? Hells no!)
  24. Yeah, until WM ended and it went down hill. I was referring to the TV matches from the rest of the year, too. The year didn't end in March.
  25. ^Imagine if Heyman went to TNA.^ I have two rebuttals for this: -There was a lot more going on during that brief period that worked really well besides just having the 6 wrestle each other. The angles actually made sense, and the backstage segments were interesting (Al Wilson not withstanding, which probably wasn't Heyman's idea). -Having good wrestlers wrestle each other on TV each week is apparently a concept BEYOND the understanding of whoever's running the show presently.
