Selig declares Oakland needs new park

The stadium was renovated in 95 when the Raiders came back so its not like the place is a dump. And I don't get the complaint that there are too many seats. If you build a smaller stadium and then it sells out, doesn't that mean that there were probably some people who wanted to come in but couldn't, therefore that would be money lost? Is a new stadium basically so you can add attractions other than the actual game? -
Which is true. HHH has had better matches lately. I'm sure that can be attributed to his opponents (Benoit, Michaels, Benjamin) but at least his matches have been enjoyable and he's done the job more than in the past couple years.

The One And Only Friends Series Finale Thread...
OldSchoolWrestling replied to a topic in Television & Film
No comment needed Yeah, like Scott HAS 5 friends. -=Mike Put Scott into that cast of Friends. Now that is a show I'd watch. Anyway. I'll be watching tonight to see how it ends, but I haven't watched the last 4 seasons. I still find them funny. I just no longer consider it "Must See TV". -
That was a helluva season wasn't it? I can't remember ever saying that an episode was just ok. And it was such a long season I felt like we watched a whole damn series. I liked the ending. I really like when a show ends with music accompanying the final scenes. It lets the scenes speak for themselves. It was also one of the first times in a long time where Ryan didn't annoy me. A very well written episode.

I'm close to giving up on WWE forever...

I think those slugs mentioned need to be kept around as jobbers. You trim too many people and next thing you know all your favorite wrestlers are doing the job too often and then you'll complain about that. -
I'd love to see Bob Backlund come in and chicken wing half the current roster and never break the hold.

Being that they plan on keeping the weekly PPVs, is this going to be any different than XPlosion? Because I don't know if that will do much ratings wise if they are showing ppv recaps and a couple jobber matches at 3pm. They'd have to make it a must-see show for it to do anything.

One week Paula has a sling. The next week her thumb is all wrapped up. Then finally this week she's crying at everything. Someone's in an abusive relationship. Every time they boo Simon I hope that he would just say "Shut up people, we can't have a 6 way tie for American Idol".

TNA said their main demographic is 40-50 year olds. Is that unemployed 40-50 year olds they're targeting?

According to pwinsider it was Stephanie who decided to put Jackie in the match. Like it was previously mentioned the challenger was supposed to be Matt Cappotelli but he suffered a concussion at a house show and was unable to wrestle. And he was of course injured by Bob Holly. Fire him now!!!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhrgh!

Susan Powder has the Joan Jett haircut. Joan is the original.

The One And Only 24 Season 3 Thread

How many hours ago was Tony dying on the surgery table and Michelle had too keep calling to check on his status? Since then he went through miracle rehab, resumed his job, turned heel and is now evading everyone. -
I'm close to giving up on WWE forever...

No one should beg you to stay. We can't tell you why you should like it. I've been watching since like 83 and while there are things I hate, there are things I like. In the last few months I got to see Eddie and Benoit win the world title at right around the same time. Something I never ever thought I'd see. The ending of WM20 with Guerrero and Benoit in the center of the ring will go down as one of my favorite wrestling moments of all time. You can go back through any of the eras and find stuff that sucked. If you can't find something that you enjoy then why even stick around and watch? You have net access and it sounds like you have friends who follow wrestling. Why not stop watching completely until you hear that things are getting good? -
Canadians I have a question for you

Found this whole thread on a message board about the subject. To sum it up and avoid reading the garbage below, Back Bacon = what we know as Canadian Bacon It's Canadian Bacon, New "signature" dish for Toronto? QUOTE The food lovers of Toronto have spoken — forcefully, argumentatively, persuasively. Hogtown needs a signature dish. (No it doesn't.) Let's be pro-active citizens and create one. (It won't be authentic unless it creates itself.) Making the Hogtown — peameal bacon on a sourdough bun slathered with maple mustard — the taste of Toronto is an awesome idea. (It's ridiculous beyond belief.) Toronto (or Hogtown as we are affectionately known) speak out on the concept of having a Toronto "signature" dish. So, fellow Torontonians, I want your opinion. Do we need a special dish to call our own? Is this the right dish? Discuss! The only thing that seems to be available south of the border is Canadian "style" bacon which suggests to me that the real thing is probably qualitatively different and likely better. "Canadian bacon" and "peameal bacon" are two different things. Peameal is a brine cured loin, coated in cornmeal. Canadian bacon is a smoke cured loin. Usually. Although it's referred to in Canada as "back bacon" never "Canadian bacon." -------------------- Arthur Johnson, aka "fresco" Forum Host, Food Media and News [email protected] Betts Posted: Mar 11 2004, 04:10 PM Group: Members Posts: 143 Member No.: 11666 Joined: 10-September 03 As an expat Canadian - I truly miss peameal bacon sandwiches. I don't know why it never caught on in the US - it's tasty, healthy and easy to cook. Pere Hugo Posted: Mar 16 2004, 07:54 AM Group: Members Posts: 24 Member No.: 12770 Joined: 27-October 03 I had thought that "peameal" bacon was the same thing as "Canadian" bacon because historically the Canadians fed their pigs peameal instead of whatever the American hogs got. Presumably the peameal made for more tender and better flavoured meat. By the way, is that really peameal that coats Canadian bacon? It seems to me to be more like cornmeal. 0 User(s) are reading this topic (0 Guests and 0 Anonymous Users) 0 Members: « Next Oldest | Toronto, Ontario, and Central Canada | Next Newest » Fast Reply Show Smilies Pop Up Window | Enable Smilies | Enable Signature Close Topic Options Track this topic Receive email notification when a reply has been made to this topic and you are not active on the board. I think they played it on The O.C. last night. Pretty cool song.

I'm pissed off that Tru Calling gets a 2 hour finale and OC doesn't. But OC did have double the episodes so I guess its all good. I missed the start of the show, why did Teresa need money? To move out on her own?
