More On TNA Telling Wrestlers Not To Work For ROH
OldSchoolWrestling replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
Didn't they sign contracts that would allow TNA to enforce this? Granted they were doing it to keep Vince from stealing them, but did the verbage say they only couldn't go to WWE? -
While I personally wouldn't pay for shit like this, I have no problem with matches like this at the lesser ppv's. Holly at Rumble I didn't agree with but if it were at a No Way Out or Judgement Day then I'm fine with it. Save the better matchups for the better ppvs. Back in the day Flair during the Bash tour would wrestle guys like Ricky Morton, the Road Warriors, etc. Anyone seen Bash 87 when he wrestled Jim Garvin? Good stuff. Its a guaranteed win for Eddie and at the same time saves a good match for something like Summerslam.

Everyone's been praising Russo for things going better lately but its still JJJ and Dutch doing the writing/planning.

More On TNA Telling Wrestlers Not To Work For ROH

Tv execs who follow the wrestling business? So they follow the business and are able to know so much as to who is appearing on what shows? Odd. Maybe they're actually doing research on something they might put on TV before they actually put it on TV. What a novel concept. Well then in that case wouldn't they be trying to get ROH instead of TNA? -

The other judges and Ryan like to make themselves look good by bashing Simon. They are too scared to give their own true opinions when someone sucks so they say stupid shit like "I wasn't feeling it" or "it was a bit pitchy". Whereas Simon says exactly what he feels like "I was bored to tears" or "pack your bags". And to top it off, when Randy and Paula say they didn't like the performance in their weak little talk, they will still get on Simon when he blasts the performance, just so that the singer and the fans think that they were on the side of the singer and that Simon is the only one that didn't like them. The best part of the show is when Ryan and Simon shoot on each other. Simon loves blasting Ryan as nothing more than a teeny-bopper wannabe who just likes to see himself on tv and sometimes makes innuendo that he's gay. Ryan likes to shoot back as well. Most of the times Ryans shots come off as scripted but sometimes you can see he's shooting.

The most shocking news in the history of WWE...
OldSchoolWrestling replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
If it was kayfabed wouldn't she have to choose a face? Or at least one of the champs? -
I still would have liked to have seen Flair vs Hogan at WM. I saw what I think was their second encounter ever at the Oakland Colisseum and the crowd was hot. A lot of Flair fans too.
-
Yes, it was. And I still fear HHH trying to break Bruno's first reign record there. I'm more fearing him going after Flair's record. I was suprised the other night when they said 8 time champ.

Have her catch you in bed all oiled up with a blow up doll. A male blow up doll.

From the previews, it looks like Ryan finds out about Luke/Julie. I don't remember what happened to Teresa though.
-
The show returns tonight to kick off the final 6 episodes. Here's the preview: Sandy and Jimmy, caught in a bind, get help from an unlikely source; Marissa, Summer and Seth go looking for a good time in Los Angeles.

My understanding is they are. And to take it a step further, when I see the bigtime tape traders talking about RCA cables, they are talking big monster gold plated top of the line ones. I stick to the $10 cables myself, but being that these guys have used almost every product and have been doing it for years they are more the expert than I. The ones that come with your vcr are fine (red, yellow, white). The ones I don't recommend are the single cable connections that also come with the vcr. Its fine to connect your vcr to your tv that way, but I have often had dubbing problems using them to make copies.
-
Test it out and then check the playback before you make your real copies just to make sure the quality is up to par. Simple things like connections and using the right speed etc can make a big difference.
-
VCR #1 you will play the tape in. You get RCA cables and plug them into audio out and video out on VCR #1. Vcr #2 you will record on. You connect the other half of the RCA cables into the Audio in and Video in. On VCR #2 you have it on an Aux channel. Some vcrs its either L1 or L2. Some vcrs you just put in channel 00 (zero, zero). To watch what you are doing, you run a cable from VCR#2's Out To TV connection and run that to your tv. Simple as that.

Totally unrelated, but during the whole WCW-NWO timeperiod I waited and waited for the day when every WCW guy in the back would come out and riot against the NWO rather than always getting their asses beat 12 on 1. That scene last night at the end would have been a great piece to that puzzle back then.

I think Show will end up turning face. Even though the whole roster did, he turned his back on Heyman and let SCSA go through to the ring to get Paul and Brock. They could add to that and make him a face. I could see Angle and HHH becoming a team even though they have a history together as foes. Only because Angle is so badass right now.

Scoot Keith gave it ***1/2. I read the thread. And the site went down and didn't come back up until later after the show ended. So any freaking out was done offline.

I'm just glad his song brought some love back to Chaka Khan, who I'm a big fan of.

I thought it was pretty good. If it remains in the slot after The Sopranos I could easily watch the whole season based on my enjoyment of last night's episode.

The OAO Sopranos season 5 thread
OldSchoolWrestling replied to BlackFlagg's topic in Television & Film
Paulie has been my favorite since last season. I wouldn't be suprised with someone on his own side taking him out before The Sopranos ends. Johnny Sacks is another great character. He seems like he could be one of the most ruthless on the show. -
Jeff Jarrett and Abyss needed police escorts as they left a show in Mexico City on Sunday night. Jarrett defeated Latin Lover of AAA in the main event which enraged the crowd and caused them to start throwing garbage at Jarrett. Credit: 1wrestling.com

Yuck. It was all about Nina Blackwood back in the day.
-
I think he would be a good backstage presence to help the young guys set up matches and learn how to deal with working the big time.

I'm glad Ron at least got a final Wrestlemania payout.
