  1. So Vince was a face for a night?
  2. That Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas is damn hot. How did she look last night?
  3. Preview for tonight: It's sure to be a New Year's Eve to remember as Kirsten's rebellious sister Hailey comes to town and Ryan races the clock to share a midnight kiss with Marissa.
  4. Jack pulling the trigger on Chase was damn cool. He'd cut off his own balls for national security.
  5. At this point, it seems like that TNA will buy a weekly timeslot on WGN for an estimated $50,000 a week. The plan is to begin airing their weekly WGN show in mid-January. This is a huge risk for TNA which by all indications is losing money right now. It is estimated that they are doing between 8,200 and 12,500 buys per week. TNA pockets about $4.20 of the $9.95 PPV price, resulting in roughly $43,000 per week. The cost of running a TNA PPV is roughly $85,000 per week. They also make about $5,000 from their gate, but obviously they are in the red. However, the general feeling is that for TNA to ever become a success, it will need to have free TV to stimulate weekly PPV buys. The discussed timeslot right now is 10AM ET on Saturday mornings, which would be horrible for them. WGN is also not proven as a national network like other channels of its kind are (TBS). WGN does air nationally for the most part, but does not promote nationally, thus making it a glorified Chicago channel. TNA is hoping that they will be able to do a good rating on WGN which would put them in a position to get a better TV deal. Of course, they could lose a significant portion of their money on this risk. The plan is to do an upgraded Xplosion show for WGN. The show would be similar to the current Xplosion but feature one main event level match. Credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
  6. Happy Birthday Zackster!! I will loan you Summer for the night. Enjoy!
  7. The guy got too much in WCW. He doesn't realize how many people are busting their ass just to have a job and he was one of a select few who even got an opportunity to beat HHH. Cut him loose and let him continue to pretend he's bigger than the business.
  8. Downloaded this last night and I am very pleased. I only have dial up at home and it only took a couple minutes to download the software. Downloading a song took about 30 minutes but being that it was dial up I have no complaints. My only question is privacy. Is it safe to use this program?
  9. Probably more likely to get business. The cheapest I've seen tapes go for are around $5 which usually includes shipping. I myself charge $6 which includes shipping. These cats are charging $7 which they say is for shipping and handling. Its just marketing to the gullible.
  10. What is next for the Hulkster? The skepticism in TNA about Hulk Hogan continues to rise with many feeling that he will never actually work for the company. Hogan continues to throw out excuses about not appearing on the PPVs or even taping segments for them. His knee also continues to be a problem which has now delayed the planned Bound for Glory PPV indefinitely. Jeff Jarrett recently told the TNA wrestlers that the PPV was delayed indefinitely. Jerry Jarrett actually flew to Tampa recently and met one on one with Hogan. Hogan told Jarrett that his knee was not responding but that he was 100% with TNA. Hogan then said they could push back the "big show" until May or June and bill it as TNA's two year anniversary show. When asked about whether he would work WrestleMania XX, Hogan told Jarrett that he and Vince McMahon no longer got along regarding business and would not work together again. Jarrett told people after the meeting that Hogan's knee was swollen, but that he was walking alright on it. This situation has made everyone in TNA suspicious because, again, Hogan has not signed a contract, backed out of his scheduled match months in advance, and does not want to do a taped segment or in-ring appearance for the promotion. Another source indicates that Hogan wants to spend all his time right now launching the musical career of his daughter, Brooke, he is trying to become a pop star. Hogan has a handshake deal with Disney. To launch her career, Hogan would have to do lots of work opening media doors for her. The thinking is that if he did a TNA PPV, he would also have to do all the media tours for that and thus doesn't have time for both. Credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
  11. Howard Stern was talking about the show today. I think it was Bababooey that was at the Survivor party last night or something. He talked about this pornstar, who's name I can't remember wanting to blow Jon because she heard he was going to be on Howard Stern on Wednesday and apparently she wants Howard publicity. So I guess they go into a stairway but too many people are there so nothing really happens. She told Bababooey of the plans, Jon confirmed it. Then, this porn star and Chyna were telling Bababooey that they want to make a porn together.
  12. Since he's about to head down the card even further, his finisher is going to be laying on his back watching the ref count to 3.
  13. You guys don't realize that flying under the radar and riding someone's coattails is a great strategy. You have to play to win. Some think you have to go out and be the muscle to win. Some think you have to be the one to catch all the food to win. Some think you have to be friends with everyone. Some think an alliance will get you there. More often than not, flying under the radar gets you very far in the game. And consider this, Jon was an ass and got raked over the coals for it. Sandra was a bitch, sabotaged the food, was going to hide all their supplies and stuff, and yet it barely got a mention last night. No one called her out for doing it, they were all focused on Jon and his grandmother. Sandra was on my local radio station doing an interview this morning. She said she doesn't have an interest in doing the All-Stars Survivor. She also said that she had heard that Jon's grandmother had raised him, and in her mind that made his grandmother the devil woman.
  14. Are you saying they should just keep what they have and if they game sucks still air it? I myself could care less about their ratings and such, but I like a good Monday night football game and if each week I knew that I was going to get to see a game with 2 good teams, I'm all for it. As it stands now, I only watch about half the games due to the suck factor.
  15. Most people like to watch their home team play. The only question I have is if the team can't sell out and their game is blacked out, would they then show the other game?
  16. I know everyone on this board loves Rupert and were pissed when he got voted off but to me he is acting like a big pussy since being voted off. When they voted him off he gave the speech that he really needed it and deserved it and each week when they show him in the jury he's shaking his head and rolling his eyes. And then last night he was high-fiving everyone when Burton got the boot.
  17. I just can't believe how awesome Darrah is winning 3 straight immunity challenges. Of course last night it was because she is rail thin and her hands easily fit into the tube to get the keys faster. Add on to that the fact that she is a mortician and cute and I think we have a winner.
  18. It actually won't be on the last Raw on the 29th but will be on the December 22nd Raw.
  19. And it still does Seattle (no longer applicable) and San Diego have essentially been odd men out from the AFC West. It's all about the triangle between Oakland-Denver-KC, which is my next favorite rivalry in the NFL after the Black'n'Blue division Being born in and raised near Oakland, I can tell you we hate all the teams in the West equally. At some point or another, each team has beaten us bad enough to piss us off. Seattle was probably the least hated but the hatred for guys from Largent to Ricky Watters was always there. San Diego was hated deeply because of the awesomeness of the the Air Coryell teams. We got the best of them to go to Superbowl 15, but the rivalry was there. When the Raiders moved to LA it got worse because up until last year, there seemed to be more Raiders fans than Chargers fans at the games played in San Diego, and it usually was the worst of the worst fans. The Kansas City rivalry goes back to the 60's and the hatred was deep back then. In 1970, a purposeful late hit on Len Dawson by Ben Davidson led to a 5 minute brawl that led to the ejection of a KC player. Marcus Allen signing with KC after Al Davis blackballed him came at a time when KC was simply dominating the Raiders year after year. It wasn't until Gruden came in and the Raiders beat KC on the last day of the season to eliminate them from a sure playoff berth that the Raiders beat them for the first time in years. Denver is probably the most hated because John Elway was so good. However, the Raiders are the only team with a winnning record against Elway. The Mike Shanahan firing led him on a mission to beat the Raiders, and he has been quite successful doing so pretty much every year except for last year, when the Raiders swept them for the first time in years on their way to the Superbowl.
  20. I have a feeling Jon will pull out the next immunity. He's pretty much do at this point. He'll then set up an alliance not to vote one of the girls out if they take him to the final two.
  21. I think Evolution should kick Randy out of the group in the same manner that the Horsemen got rid of Sting. Wouldn't that require HHH to get the belt back and Orton to win some sort of tournament to earn a shot at it? It could get Orton over, but do we *really* want to see that happen? Instead of kicking him out like they did Sting, they can kick him out like they did Ole Anderson. Maybe he needs to miss some shows saying his dad is sick, and Evolution loses some matches without him there. They get to the point where they kick him out for not being there. They can even bring in Cowboy Bob to make the save and set up a Flair/Batista vs Orton/Orton. Not that we need another old guy wrestling, but I think this would definately help put him over as a face with JR and King putting over Bob as a legend. They don't even have to have Bob or Flair wrestle. They can just be in the corner and Bob can interfere with the beloved cast that is still on his arm and give the win to Randy.
  22. I think they need to make him a face by having Evolution kick the ever loving shit out of him. In a cage, ala the 4horsemen beatdown on Dusty Rhodes where they broke Dusty's leg. Have him out of action for a few weeks selling it, learning some skills in the meantime. When he comes back, he saves a top face from getting a similar shit-beating. When he wrestles Evolution in follow-up tag matches, he plays Ricky Morton and continues to ge the ever loving shit beat out of him until after about 10 minutes of this he finally makes the tag and that face gets to clean house and earn the impossible win. It will get him and his partner over until he can do so on his own.
  23. Last I heard all those rumors were off.
  24. So good to see the IDrinkRatsMilk name back.
