I got Soulseek recently and I'm only able to play selected WMP files I download. The ones that I can't play I get the following error message: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. I can either click Close or More Information. When I click More Information it brings me to a Help dialog box that says C00D1199: Cannot play the file Windows Media Player cannot play the file. You might encounter this error message for one of the following reasons: The file type is not supported by the Player. For a list of file types (formats) that are supported by Windows Media Player, see Supported file types. The file type is supported by the Player, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the Player. The file type is supported, but you are trying to play it in a way that is not supported by the Player. For example, you might have tried to drag a DVD file with a .vob extension from a DVD to the Windows Media Player icon. Or you might have tried to open a .vob file by clicking Open on the File menu. You are trying to play one part of a multipart file. Use a newsreader or other program to combine the files, and then try again. Error ID = 0xC00D1199, Condition ID = 0x00000000 Whenever I try to DL a WMP file from a web site, i have no problem, but with Soulseek I have this problem frequently. Any idea how to make these files work?

I got it yesterday. It was great stuff.

To be specifc, Sabu had heat for going longer in tv matches than he was meant to, and brawling outside the ring when he wasn't supposed to. Sabu only found out he was fired because they mentioned on Nitro that a WCW wrestler had been fired and to call the 900 Hotline to find out who. Sabu called up, and that's how he heard. They didn't even call the guy or Fed-Ex him his notice. WOW, really? That's funny. Sabu watching Nitro is funny enough, but him calling the WCW hotline...LOL.
-
They lost so much money by trying to go to PPV when they should've waited at least three years longer, probably even more. By going on PPV so early, they screwed themselves from the start.
-
Heyman paid Taz the entire time he was out with a broken neck when he had no contract and no obligation to. If and when he had the money he would take care of ppl. New Jack and Sabu to this day cannot get a job with a bigger company.A guy like New Jack was drizzling shits in the ring aside from weapon shots and balcony dives and no one wanted him then and no one wants him now. RVD says on the dvd he knew he wasn't going to be paid anymore so he would do independents to pay the bills and still appear with ECW because he was hoping they'd get bigger and loved working there. Lance Storm on the dvd talks about getting three bounced checks and threatening to leave and never getting a bounced check again. Ppl stuck around because they knew if the company took off they would get what they had coming to them.It didn't and that was the gamble they chose. Dude, Heyman made up a story about Jack raping a girl in hopes of getting him arrested. His failure to ever pay Mike Awesome resulted in Tommy Dreamer having to give up most of his paychecks to Awesome so that Awesome could support his wife and kids, since Dreamer didn't have a wife and kid at that point. He shouldn't have gotten one in the first place. As far as Sabu goes, the story on him is that Heyman did everything he could to prevent him from working promotions other than ECW. Sabu tried to sign with WCW and Heyman tried to sue him. Sabu tried to work in Japan and for XPW and Heyman tried to sue him. Had XPW not supplied Sabu with thousands of dollars to fight Heyman in court, Sabu never would've been able to get another paycheck. Heyman is a piece of sh*t like few others, even in a business as unclassy as this one.
-
I agree with Mad Dog. That's why Heyman's such a damn scumbag and why I can't stand him. At least TNA pays his talent. Sabu is still owed over $5,000 from Heyman. New Jack over $1,000. RVD - Jesus, putting a number to it is crazy because Heyman owes him so much. TNA may owe a guy or two some money for a week or so, but they get it to him. Heyman - for almost five years - has owed talent and still not bothered paying them. Fuck him.

This is kinda like what CM Funk does already. I'll try to post two or three of these a week. If you have a particular match you want me to review, then go ahead and request it, but I can't guarantee I have it. I was bored so I wrote this earlier today. Any feedback on my style, etc., feel free to post. Hope you enjoy it and learn something about whatever match I'm reviewing. PETEY WILLIAMS (w/ Scott D’Amore) vs. CHRIS SABIN vs. AJ STYLES – (TNA Impact!; aired 7/9/04) WRITTEN: Saturday, November 13, 2004 After slugging Petey down, Styles ties up with Sabin, leading to a headlock takeover/headscissors reversal before Petey attacks. A triple waistlock sequence ends with Petey scoring on Sabin with an inverted atomic drop, only to fall victim to a Styles dropkick. Sabin does a nice backflip counter to one of Styles’ tactics and immediately executes a huracanrana, before knocking Styles out to ringside with a lariat. A few moments later, Petey falls victim to a legsweep from the re-entering Styles, but gets revenge by countering a Superbomb attempt by Styles into a Super Huracanrana, sending Styles flipping onto Sabin with a somersault senton. Petey gets a 2 count on Styles before having his attempted shoulder spin countered into a wheelbarrow suplex by Sabin. Styles comes back by escaping Sabin’s sleeper hold and nailing a big Thrusting Uranage Headbreaker, followed by a Quebrada Inverted DDT (Petey)/regular DDT (Sabin) combo several moments later. Petey delivers a dropdown (to his knees) neckbreaker on Styles, but a reinvigorated Sabin hits a creative running swinging DDT variation on Styles, where he enziguris Petey on the way up. All three competitors slowly struggle to their feet and Sabin hits a Gory Special on Petey, only for Styles to break up the pinfall with a SPRINGBOARD 450° SPLASH! Then, following a brief slugfest with Sabin, Styles continues the aerial assault by taking out Frankie Kazarian and Michael Shane (who are at ringside) with a Running Leaping Somersault Attack over the ropes (thinking that they would try to cost him the match otherwise)! Back in the ring, Sabin looks to finish things off with the Cradle Shock (Fireman’s Carry Michinoku Driver II) on Petey, but he abandons it mid-move to take out D’Amore, who was preparing to interfere on Petey’s part. That, however, provided Petey enough time to recover, and the Team Canada member executes the CANADIAN DESTROYER~! (Sunset Flip Piledriver) for the 3 count! (5:48) POST-MATCH RAMBLE: That’s got to be one of the best-looking Canadian Destroyers I’ve seen him do in awhile. Petey got lots of air, Sabin did a full backflip, and the commentators sold it like gold. Sucks that we didn’t get to see Petey’s Sitout Inverted Powerbomb variation, but I have no problem living with the Destroyer. By the way, for those interested, this show featured Alex Shelley’s first match on Impact!, as he teamed with Abyss vs. Mikey Batts & Jerrelle Clarke. Now to my thoughts… ANALYSIS: Decent match, but way too short. Even considering that we’re talking about TNA Land – where guys such as these three usually are advised not to go all out so as to prevent the almighty Jarretts and Hardys of the world from being overshadowed – the X Division has seen action a great deal more innovative than this. While the execution was solid overall, nothing really stood out here, and the relatively minimal psychology didn’t help matters, either. I would’ve at least liked to have seen the three gradually build up to the Super Rana/Senton combo instead of just throwing it out there within the first two minutes. Furthermore, the wrestlers could’ve played up the triple-threat nature a bit better – sure there was Styles’ DDT combo, Sabin’s swinging DDT, and Styles breaking up a pinfall with the 450° (that I especially liked), there were virtually no two-on-one double-teams, so the three-man formula never really came into effect. As for the positives – Sabin’s wheelbarrow suplex, Styles’ headbreaker, Styles 450° and his dive onto Kazarian and Shane were both great additions because they really came out of nowhere (the camera hadn’t even shown Kazarian or Shane, so it was cool to all of a sudden see Styles topè out), and of course the finishing Canadian Destroyer was a sweet touch. Overall, though, definitely not worth going out of your way to see because all three have put out way better performances in TNA. *1/2.

Fleisch is still scheduled to appear on this show, right? I really hope he wasn't pulled because I haven't seen his name in any of the updates about this show.
-
Punk sets them up for a backdrop suplex (makes it so that they have a headlock on him. He often adds in a hammerlock for good measure. Then, he swings 180 degrees and does a lariat with his free arm, basically killing them because it's usually really stiff.

From what Evan Karagias said in a promo at an NWA Pro Wrestling Xpress show this past weekend, Juvi & Psichosis are now wrestling The SAT. So, I dunno...that may mean Ogawa and Misawa aren't on the show anymore, or it may be a three-way dance or something. I don't know. But either way, Juvi/Psichosis lit a new fire under The SAT's ass this past weekend apparently, and they put on what was said to be a great match, and from what the report says (on DOI), Karagias said the FUSION debut show would feature The SAT vs. Juvi/Psichosis.

THAT'S RIGHT!!!!!! SCCW UPDATE FOR MONDAY 11/8/04 First off, we would like to thank all of the SoCalUncensored board members for their support. We are also amazed and appreciative of the support of the So Cal workers. Numerous wrestlers have asked to either participate on the show or work in the locker room in some capacity. We truly believe this is going to be an amazing event for the entire So Cal wrestling community. Every day this week we will be announcing at least one "So Cal Supercard" match and one King of the Deathmatch Tournament participant. By Friday, you will have most of the puzzle pieces and on Saturday morning, you will be able to reserve your tickets at SoCalCW.com. So, without further ado, here is today's update: Officially signed from Pro Wrestling Guerilla, Super Dragon will take on Chris Bosh in a match that should be worth the price of admission alone. Additionally, the Empire Wrestling Federation has joined SCCW and has already signed "Ghetto Psycho" Big Q to face Kenny King (from Tough Enough_ on January 15th. And finally, SCCW is proud to announce the first participant in the King of the Deathmatch Tournament - making is return to pro wrestling - HOMELESS JIMMY! Check SoCalUncensored tomorrow for two more matches and another KOTDM participant to be announced. I don't know how much this means to everyone else, but for me this is friggin' big. I've been a fan of Jimmy's work since '99/2000 and have enjoyed him so much that I tracked down his earlier work dating back to '96. The guy is a workhorse like none other. On more than a couple occasions, he put his life on the line in XPW and got a ton of injuries that most people don't know the full story of. As far as wrestling ability, he's definitely not anything special, but I'd put him up against ANYBODY - Nick Mondo, Necro Butcher, even Sabu - as one of the guys who has put the most on the line during their career. In a promotion where there was tons of bad booking and mismanaged gimmicks, the fans genuinely took to Jimmy. I remember when he got his first win, there were people in the crowd crying. Jimmy returning to wrestling is a testament to how much he loves the sport - he just can't stay away from the business. His family had been trying to make him quit for awhile, but as one can see, it apparently didn't work. The only thing I hope is that he doesn't go over the line - a lot of people worried about him during his XPW tenure because he took so many risks. Hopefully he'll tame it down a bit for his own good, because a lot of times he's been on the verge of very serious injury in stunts he's done. But anyway, it's great to hear that Jimmy is back, even if only for a one-night appearance. If you haven't already heard, Jimmy - along with XPW mainstays Kaos, Dynamite D, Johnny Webb, GQ Money, Steve Rizzono, Pogo the Clown, and even Kevin Kleinrock - will also be making his presence felt in my upcoming retrospective on the roots, formation, challenges, and eventual folding of XPW. More information on that retrospective can be found here: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=58848

ROH Weekend of THUNDA~!

Found this on the ROH board. It's fancan highlights from the show. http://65.75.163.10/roh_110504_highlights.wmv You need Windows Media Player Classic to view it. http://65.75.163.10/mplayerc.exe -
I literally just got it installed a few minutes ago (I'm using it right now). The advantage - from what I'm told - is that it's less vulnerable to viruses, because few people use it and as a result, hackers don't tend to target it (since they want to affect mass amounts of people and not just a select group, like those who use the program).

The promotion that spawned XPW set to reform
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
The Mexican buffet thing actually sounds kinda like the other XPW offshoot, LXW (Kirk Farrington's old fed). They specifically targeted the Mexican community of New York with their shows and advertising. -

The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
As you can read in the newly-made thread, SCCW - the organization that in many respects was the precursor of XPW - is set to reform in the next month. SCCW featured the likes of Dynamite D, Johnny Webb, Homeless Jimmy, Danien Steele, Kevin Kleinrock, and others before they were in XPW. The official web site of SCCW is SoCalCW.com. SCCW will be run by the same three men who it was run by in the late '90's - Dynamite D, Patrick Hernandez, and Kevin Kleinrock. I hope to have the first music video of the "History of XPW" series done in the next couple weeks. Whether it's done by then or there's an unforeseen delay for some reason, I promise you that it will be unlike anything you have ever seen before. Also, expect more names to be added to the list of contributees. Kaos, Dynamite D, Jake Lawless, Homeless Jimmy, and Patrick Hernandez are the newest contributees. They'll join Johnny Webb, Carlito Montana, Verne Langdon, GQ Money, Steve Rizzono, Pogo the Clown, and many others. -
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THE RETURN OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING! THIS TIME, THEY’RE DOING IT FOR THE FANS! THE PAST: In 1997, Dynamite D., Patrick Hernandez, and Kevin Kleinrock formed Southern California Championship Wrestling off the heels of the Slammers Wrestling Federation decision to cease operations. In 1998, SCCW chose to end promoting shows on their own and join adult producer Rob Black in his attempt to start a professional wrestling company. The result: XPW. For better or for worse XPW changed both the Southern California and overall professional wrestling landscape during its existence (1999-2003). THE PRESENT: As of July 3, 2004, all 3 of the original members of SCCW had no links left to Rob Black or XPW. Dynamite D occasionally wrestled on the independent circuit. Patrick Hernandez officiated many of the matches in the region. Kevin Kleinrock had been out of the business since XPW ceased operations in April of 2003. If there was one thing that XPW did to the SoCal wrestling community, it was divide it. Some fans loved the wild and crazy shows with big name stars no other organization was bringing to town. Others absolutely hated everything XPW stood for and preferred a show 100% dedicated to pure wrestling without all the spectacle and “hardcore” matches. THE FUTURE: In September of 2004 and a plan for the future was hatched. Taking the lessons learned with the “XPW experience” (both the good and the bad) the original 3 members of the SCCW front office have teamed up with Steve Bryant of SoCalUncensored.com, the premiere website dedicated to keeping the fans informed about the local wrestling scene, to reform SCCW with a single goal in mind: Doing It For The Fans! AND WITH THAT IN MIND, WE PROUDLY ANNOUNCE THE REBIRTH OF SCCW! Our goal: To create a live wrestling experience which will cater to every fan in the So Cal area. These quarterly shows will feature the best of the best of high flying, technical strong style, and hardcore! CURRENTLY PARTICIPATING PROMOTIONS (in alphabetical order): Alternative Wrestling Shop (AWS) New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW- USA) Pacific Championship Wrestling (PCW) Pro Wrestling Guerilla (PWG) Pro Wrestling War (PWW) Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) Revolution X Wrestling (RevX) Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) Each participating promotion will present one match on each “SoCal Supercard” and, in addition to each So Cal promotion’s match, additional “hardcore” wrestling matches, sanctioned by Kings of Hardcore will take place and be taped for Pay-Per-View! And, on the very first SCCW show, these hardcore matches will take place in the form of a KING OF THE DEATHMATCH TOURNAMENT. DATES FOR SCCW’S SUPERCARD SHOWS: Saturday, January 15, 2005 – 2:00 PM Belltime Saturday, April 9, 2005 – 2:00 PM Belltime Saturday, July 9, 2005 – 2:00 PM Belltime Saturday, October 8, 2005 – 2:00 PM Belltime LOCATION: Potrero Club 4959 Patata Ave. Cudahy, CA 90201 Located just minutes South of downtown Los Angeles off the 710 Freeway, about 40 minutes from the San Fernando Valley, 30 Minutes from Orange County, and 60 minutes from the Inland Empire. I know for a fact they have the RexPlex booked for that day, so I assume they intend to run the show.
