I'm pretty sure at least one out of those two won't be happening. Oswalt's got two strong candidates for Cy Young ahead of him.

Well, hell. I thought when Washington came back in the fourth, they were a cinch to win it in OT. Guess not.

Texas is leading again. A&M is going to 8-1. They just stuffed their running game down Baylor's throat. They had over 300 yards rushing. Two 100-yard rushers, four guys with at least 30.

Sad day for basketball fans everywhere. RIP.

because the computers effect of the BCS....I dont think one of the Big East teams could leapfrog the Michigan-OSU loser unless they drop below number three in both polls...a 1 loss SEC champion or Texas has a better chance than the Big East teams Nah, the computers are only 1/3 of the results, and while WVU and Louisville have shitty computer rankings right now, if one of them beats the other one, Rutgers, and Pitt, they'll move up to at least to #3 or #4, and that will be enough to get them in the national championship. beating Louisville,an unranked Pittsburgh and Rutgers who would be unranked after a loss would not boost West Virginia from 14th to the top 5 in the computers.....Louisville is 9th in the computers so if everything falls right and Michigan-OSU is a rout then they have an outside chance....I dont think West Virginia has a chance at all West Virginia is likely moving up to third in both polls tomorrow. If they win out, they'll probably be second in both polls, especially if the OSU/Michigan game is decisive. That would probably be enough to get them in the championship game.

The newest version of IE has tabbed browsing. I switched back when they rolled out the beta version a few months ago, and haven't had very many complaints.

If they can beat Cal, Oregon and Notre Dame, they should still be in the conversation. I think they'll lose at least one of those, though.

John David Booty...you are no Matt Leinart.

Georgia Tech now solidly in the driver's seat in the ACC Coastal, after beating Miami 30-23.
-
FINALLY we get switched away from the OSU blowout. This Miami/Georgia Tech game looks headed toward a good finish.
-
So did I. I couldn't believe anyone would want to talk about it.

You really think SF is going to score 17?
-
Still early, but it's not looking too good on a Buffalo cover. They're down 17-0 after one quarter.
-
No World Series for the Yankees next year either, then.

That reminds me of when he was a heel right before WMXV, with Dr. Death as his protege. He had his own announce table right in front of Cole and Lawler's table... "I can't see, there's a big cowboy hat in my face." "There's gonna be a big cowboy boot up your ass if you don't shut up."

Yeah, you're right. I'd pretty much stopped watching Superstars at that point, and I only saw tyhe highlights of it on Raw, which is probably why I thought it was on Raw in the first place.

Nice read. Michael Lewis is a terrific author. As for the title, I figured it was heartburn from the double chili-cheese fries.

The only bad era during that time for the Cardinals was the Joe Torre era. The team never finished above second place during his tenure of 6 years. Yes, clearly his fault. Nothing to do with the fact that their pitching was mediocre at best the entire time. Whitey Herzog finished below second in six of his ten years, too, you know, including the three right before Torre was hired. I love how teams are defined by who's managing them, as if that has any impact at all.

Others I haven't seen mentioned: - HBK vs. Jannetty for the IC title. - Austin Pillmanizing Pillman's ankle. - RAW is ECW, and the return of LOD, at the Manhattan Center. - The flag match from Halifax. - HBK announcing he'd be the guest ref at Summerslam 97, also in Halifax. - Bret's hockey fight with Vince, ALSO in Halifax. - Neidhart's surprise return. - The Edmonton Raw right after Canadian Stampede. - X-Pac's return promo the day after WrestleMania XIV. - Austin decides to do things "the easy way." - Austin vs. McMahon, two weeks after WrestleMania XIV. - Mick Foley vs. Terry Funk. - The "I Will Remember You" video for Mick Foley after No Way Out 2000. - Taka Michinoku almost beating HHH for the title. - Benoit and Jericho beating HHH and Austin for the tag titles. - The Rock's promo on Toronto the night after turning heel against Hogan. - Batista giving HHH the thumbs-down to set up WrestleMania 21.

RIP. How is it that none of the major online sports news sources have reported this yet? You'd think ESPN would have a story somewhere on the front page, or even the baseball page.

Poor Anglesault must be wondering why other players have to leave New York to win pennants and World Series. Weaver's been outstanding.
-
THAT error certainly cost them a run.

Well, emergency in that he's the third QB on the depth chart.
