If Josh Blue wins this competition, the American public has no hope. It would be worse than Dat Phan winning. Ty nailed his set last night, even if he should've wrapped up instead of tacking on the last two jokes he'd used in previous sets.

At this point, the only people I'd be seriously looking at for MVP would be Manny, Mauer and Jeter. Those three also happen to be the AL leaders in win shares. Ortiz isn't so far ahead of the field with his bat that it makes up for his lack of contribution on defense.

I still can't see who they're losing to. Their schedule is a gift from the BCS gods. Every decent team they play is coming to the Coliseum. They should - emphasis on SHOULD - have no problems against anyone they face on the road. If Notre Dame got them at the start of the season, then maybe. I will say that Cal-USC on November 18 should be a hell of a game.

Overreaction? Hell no. Bomar would've gotten turfed by the NCAA anyway. That Stoops did it himself reflects well upon him and his program.

Hey, you're right. Who was the other team in that division? I'm having trouble remembering back that far.. Niners, LA Rams, Saints, Falcons..was that it? Seems like there was five. I felt kind of dirty defending Brady like that, considering I hate the fucking Patriots. There were only four for the entire 80s run. The Panthers were the fifth, but they weren't added until well into the 90s.

On the original topic -- I thought Savage/Steamboat was perfectly done. What's the best way for Steamboat to take his revenge on Savage? By taking away the thing that means the most to him, the Intercontinental title. What's the best way for Steamboat to do that? By outwrestling him. Him brawling with Savage wouldn't have fit his character at all. On DiBiase at the 92 Rumble - I read somewhere that he was injured and had to get out quickly.

I hope they're not seriously thinking of that. The talent pool is diluted enough as it is.
