I like the Cubs and the White Sox. I grew up in an extended family that was and still is obsessed with the Cubs, so I saw their games before I even watched baseball regularly. You want to know why I started liking the White Sox? No? Well, ok... I'll tell you. Around the time I started watching baseball (1995- I was 11) I got a labrador with white paws. He had been named White Sox by his previous owners. That's it. I've been a fan ever since. And Los Angeles is the greatest city in the United States. I've been to pretty much every major city except New York and Boston (though I'd love to see Boston) and nothing tops LA for overall atmosphere. However, Toronto may or may not top LA for overall best city in North America. I don't know. I've only been to Toronto once. I've been to LA on several occasions. Thus ends my pointless rambling... for now.

I just saw Part 2 last night and I really liked it. It was a lot better than Part 1. I'll hold off until the DVD release of the full version before I purchase now that I've heard this news.

Your mileage may vary on this deal. I got it from a site I go to that posts amazing cheap video game deals daily. In GameCrazy's current ad (valid til March 27th) Fight Night Round 2 along with a few other new games including Star Wars KOTOR II and the latest ratchet nd Clank are advertised at $20. Most GC stores have a flyer up in-store that states that those prices are a misprint and they will not honor them. However, It has been reported that some GC strors will give you the games at that price. Also, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, and Circuit City in most areas will price match if you have a copy of the ad from GC. I don't have any money right now so I'm screwed on this, but I figured it might help some of you guys out.

Finland? I cheated.

They won't have time to change the roster, but they may have found some minor glitches that they need to fix or some things they need to tweak. Either that, or they didn't want to release the game on the same day as the new Splinter Cell.

Thanks. Kidman's still alive?

I made a mistake in that post. I said that I was wrong and MVP was on sale at TRU. I thought that I had previously stated that MLB was on sale at TRU. So basically I didn't need to correct anything and I just repeated myself. I feel dumb. Oh well... As long as you guys that want MVP get it at 2/3 the price, that's what matters. I actually haven't played MVP really for 4 days because I had a busy weekend and I've been playing other games. I've played a couple league games on MLB 2K5 and really enjoyed doing so. It's crazy how much I despise MLB offline compared to how much I enjoy it online. I guess I technically ended up paying a full $50 for the perfect baseball game- $30 for MVP and its excellent 1 player franchise mode (along with other modes) since its online mode is 5 innings and very laggy, and $20 for MLB solely for the excellent online mode with leagues, since I can barely trudge through 1 single game offline.

Yeah, Mike Regan from Gaming Ring is as reliable as they come. I worked at WrestlingGames.com (mailnly the message board, though) with him back in the early 2000's and we had Sanders Keel and others from THQ posting at the board. They even thanked us in No Mercy's credits. So yes, Mike has good contacts. They're even flying him out here for WrestleMania 21. Unfortunately (in this scenario), Mike's info should be assumed to be correct. At least I have time to save up for the game now.

Advanced You scored 100% Beginner, 93% Intermediate, 100% Advanced, and 61% Expert! You have an extremely good understanding of beginner, intermediate, and advanced level commonly confused English words, getting at least 75% of each of these three levels' questions correct. This is an exceptional score. Remember, these are commonly confused English words, which means most people don't use them properly. You got an extremely respectable score. I fared pretty well for someone who hasn't written anything formal in 4 or 5 years. I used to be a damn good writer with an expansive vocabulary.

Apparently, I was wrong. The game was on sale for that price at TRU last week. This week, MLB 2K5 is $14.99 at Circuit City, while MVP Baseball is a mere $19.99 at Toys R Us. MVP for $19.99>>>>>>>>>>>MLB for $14.99.

Anyone planning on doing a Yahoo or ESPN.com Pick 'Em group for the board? I can start one if need be.

I'm sad that I can't see an Illinois-Wake title game. They've been my favorite teams since I started watching. I haven't watched much college ball this year, but here are my picks for the Final Four from my ESPN.com brackets for the Cheap Ass Gamer forums league. I plan on making 4 alternate brackets (5 is the max) for improved chances of winning. Illinois over Wake Forest North Carolina over Syracuse Illinois over North Carolina

Yeah, Corliss just got traded back to Sacramento from Philly in the Chris Webber deal.

Since you mentioned Shelton, I really think that Charlie Haas would be a good fit. Switch him over from SD, turn him, and stick him in there. Not only does he look the part, but it'd seriously help his career. he could then feud with Shelton for the IC belt. Only problem is that you'd have to have Jackie switch rosters, too, since they have to stick together. But hey, she's not doing shit on Smackdown, and maybe she could end up as a decent worker fo the Women's division someday. As for another member.... Maybe Christian, but I don't know. I want him to evolve into a main event superstar, and I don't know if that could happen if he was with HHH.

Thanks. I went there and accepted, so I'm in.

I'm technically a motherfucker after last night. No, not my mother. -
ECW League? Huh? I'm guessing you're talking about a league for ESPN MLB 2K5... If so, I'll join. My GT is MattYoung. If I have to choose one of those 2 teams, I'll take the Mets since I hate the Indians.

New "Realistic Legend of Zelda" Trailer Released
Matt Young replied to Skywarp!'s topic in Video Games
A sequel to the greatest game of all time would be just fine with me. As far as Zelda games disappointing... Well, I just gave my opinion of OoT, and I have to say that the follow-up, majora's Mask, was terribly disappointing. I played Ocarina for many hours daily for 4-5 days til I completed it 100%. Majora's Mask, well, I never even came close. It was a very subpar game. -
High production values = Greater cost
Matt Young replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in Video Games
The launch titles were Super Mario 64 and Pilotwings 64. GoldenEye wasn't reelased until the system had been out in North America for a full year.
